FYI transcript cycle code and how to read it.

As long as the IRS is sticking to the same cycle code format as last year the codes can be broken down using the info below.

The 1st 4 #s = year, next 2 #s = cycle week, last 2#s = day of the week
Cycle weeks begin on Thursdays so the 1st Cycle week started on Thurs. Jan 8th, the 2nd cycle week would be Thurs. Jan. 15th, the 3rd would be Thurs Jan. 22 and so on.

The days of the week are only business days starting with Thursday as the 1st day of the cycle week and ending with Wednesday as the 5th day. The last 2 digits will always be one of the following depending on the day of your deposit.

01 – Thurs

02 – Fri

03 – Mon

04 – Tues

05 – Wed

So for cycle code 20150602 (for example): That should translate into Feb. 13th.

Thanks for the info! I hope and pray I get it next week. It’s been a long process for me too after finding out I was a victim of ID Theft, having to verify my identity, and showing proof of my wages it’s been a long journey and I’m hoping it’s coming to an end. Only thing my WMR hasn’t updated at all but every Rep I speak with says my refund has been released so we will see.

I hope you receive your money soon as well. I know the furstration you have from having to be patient and wait but hopefully you will get it soon. I will keep you updated if I receive mines next week or not! ;)

Ashley I think the 20151604 translates to April 29 as a deposit or check date. I’m still in the wind waiting on ours too. We had a deposit date of 2/11. They said the bank rejected it and then it went into review. Have been waiting since. We have received the letter stating that we didn’t need to do anything. So guess its just a waiting game. Our cycle date was 20150505.

Filed on Feb 04th, and FINALLY today, I was able to see this year’s account transcript.
But it only has as of date: 05/11/2015… Everything else has 0.00 next to it.

Does anyone know what the as of date mean here?
How can I have as of date of May when it’s still in April???\

Will it be the date that I suppose to expect my refund?
Or is that the date they will start on my return?
Any idea?

Has anyone else here who had a future as of date as mine & if you had, could you share what happened on AT THAT DATE?

Since I have TA, IRS wouldn’t say anything, and my TA is not calling me back…

Any insight will be appreciated.

So after waiting almost 3 months and getting a TA involved my TA told me last week on 4/16 that my refund was released as of 4/15 but to check back with her on 4/30 if I hadn’t received it yet. I called today 4/22 and the lady told me my refund had been processed but still pending then she mumbled off something to herself about cycle code 20151604 can anybody tell me what this means? Thank you

I have a cycle code of 20150605. But a 000 code, what does this mean. No 846? Should I be concerned. Still one bar on wmr also.

I pulled mine up and went to the 2014 account transcript and it said “No tax return filed”. I filed and was accepted on Feb 6, a week ago. Could it possibly be too early? Since it says no tax return even though they have accepted my return?

Hey michelle,

You can order your tax transcripts online through the IRS. I just typed tax transcripts into google and it took me there. Once you can acceas them, the cycle date will be on the account transcript.

Filed / Accepted 1/30/15 using TT. Generic 21 day statement with Topic 152 on WMR. Bars disappeared this morning as well as refund amount & 21 day statement turned to generic “Your tax return is still being processed. A refund date will be provided when available.” As of PM the same day I can view return transcript (20150604) So I am hoping WMR updates tonight with 2/17 DDD! Fingers crossed, I did not see code 846, or any other code on the transcript– its the only one showing up available right now. Called TA this AM since it had disappeared, barely said the date and she squaked something and put me on hold again (after 45 minutes) for another 20 minutes to their general info IRS line. This lady told me my return was accepted today so to count 21 days from today. It old her WMR showed up as accepted 2/2 and she said than go from that date? WTH? Thanks for the update, lady. She did also say everything appeared OK on the return- no codes flagged. But also stated WMR was more current than they were… however that is possible.

I got the same cycle code of 20150602 and website updated last night and I’m scheduled for dd on Feb 13th woohoo!!

That date calculates out to Feb. 13th. WMR will hopefully update tonight if this is true.
