Being that I did not update with many of you overnight, and I know others didn’t update either, here’s my experience. I filed with HRB and since the IRS is closed, I called HRB. I received my full NY state return 2/14/2020, but I opted to have my filing fees taken from my refund. I always thought the fees were taken out of whatever return you get first but NOPE! HRB takes their fees out of your FEDERAL return unless you don’t have a large enough federal return for the fees, then they take from state or both. Good to know! The representative then moved on to state that the IRS is holding the funds for ACTC/EITC filers until the 27th of February, and that my fees would be taken out on that date, and I’ll have my refund on the 28th. I’m not sure exactly how accurate this information is being that I see plenty updated to a DDD of 2/26/2020, but I guess it’s possible being that the same generic message also states if not received by 3/2/2020 to contact your bank. I personally updated last Sunday, 2/16/2020. I was not in the big update when Path lifted, so I’m half expecting to see an update overnight tonight into tomorrow morning. I do feel better knowing that when I spoke to the IRS the other day to get prior year transcripts that I was able to verify that no letters have been issued and that everything looked good. And now being assured of a specific date from HRB as well. Mind you, I never saw the PATH message this year. I went from one bar to the “still” being processed message with no bars and TT152 which is where I’m still at now. What’s been your experience this year?!
