Finished processing

I called the IRS and spoke to a representative named Leigh, and when I asked about a possible DDD she said that one was not available for my return yet, however that it is processed, and is awaiting direct deposit. So my question is, how long after this updated information (WMR still says “been received and is processing” btw) should my direct deposit be available? Has anyone had this happen before or is currently in the same boat? I’m having mine deposited to a Wal-Mart employee payroll card (metabank) and I filed 1/28, accepted 1/29, and I claimed EITC only, updated from PATH on 2/16 to received and processing with no further information until I spoke to Leigh this morning. Any insight or experience would be much appreciated. Thank you.

@Cody I can’t check my transcripts because I don’t have all the verification info, what i mean is that when I called the IRS the rep told me that my return we no longer being processed, that it is done, and has been approved, and is only awaiting deposit. I guess it would kind of be the same as completed transcripts.

She basically told me that it was held u til the 15th for the APTH act and it should be recieved by the 27th apparently that’s when they expect the DDD to be by. Nothing is wrong on my end though.

I agree. I called the bank of which my tax preparer uses and believe it or not the rep told me the IRS sent them notification of my tax return was both accepted and approved on the 16th of January.. I had to ask the rep to repeat himself because I could not believe it. This means on the day I filed my return was approved. The only reason why the Irs had not released my funds was because I am a Pather..
And they have been waiting for my funds to be released. Now, from my understanding we were told the IRS wasn’t even accepting returns until the 28th of January. This clearly proves I was either part of the test batch or the IRS just does what they want to do. But no matter what my funds have just been sitting in limbo since the 16th of January… And I still can’t believe it.

I was told the same thing yesterday by a tax advocate…he looked at my account, no issues ( I have 1541 code). I asked if it was processed 3 TIMES lol all time he said yes…just waiting on the funds to release. If I had to predict I’d say the ones who haven’t updated today will c one Saturday morning on WMR with a DDD of 2/27- 3/4…hold tight y’all lol I’m trying not to sink in this boat too 😂

Okay thanks @naelabee. I’m assuming (again) that those of us already approved, but just waiting for the direct deposit processing to go through, will possibly see some action this weekend. I hope and pray that we do.

@Naela….they said youre refund was approved? What does your transcript look like?

All they said to me was that the refund amount was approved there were no issues with my tax return and that the system handed out the refund dates in batches

Thank all of you. I figure that since they are somewhat backlogged at the IRS, that most likely many people won’t even see a DDD and yet will have a lovely deposit to their bank accounts… I hope everyone gets theirs any time now, but I was hoping maybe a couple of other people here may have had the same experience but maybe had already gotten past this point and might have some good news for everyone.

@naelabee did they have any further information for you or pretty much the exact same as what my rep said? I would think if it has finished processing and is now in queue for direct deposit I would assume that we should have $$ in the next couple of days at max, but I could very well be wrong.

Stacy, all I can say is, they can do what they want when they want….there really isn’t an easy answer. This is not like other tax seasons. Usually you can kind of figure out when you will get your money. Not this year. I would HOPE you will have your money within now and Monday.

Stacy, this is a little different each year. I was accepted the same day, and based on some other patterns from this year, my prediction is we will updated Friday night if we are already processed and awaiting DDD. I’d expect a transcript update probably tonight, and a WMR update with a DDD for 2/27 or 3/1 on Saturday morning.
