Finally got an answer! filed with TAXACT 1/23 noEITC CTC or letter

For those of you who have the “still processing” message

I filed 1/23 with TAXACT, accepted 1/23, lost bars 1/28, and have not received a letter.

NO EITC or CTC

I Do have an education credit

:) I called the IRS right away this morning…still did not receive any information from them. On Monday I had applied for a tax advocate, because I was tired of the run around. Today I talked to a very nice lady who works for the tax advocate service and there was a difference in the refund that the IRS has on my file, and the refund that TAXACT had for me. A $1000 difference!! I use the TAXACT refund to check WMR and it works. So I don’t know if this is a TAXACT issue of an IRS issue, but all of my info on my return matches. Should have everything resolved in 30 days. ALOT better than 9 WEEKS!! IF YOU HAVE TRIED TO CONTACT THE IRS AND ARE GETTING THE RUN AROUND, CONTACT YOUR STATE TAX ADVOCATE SERVICE :) I hope this helps. I’m just happy I finally got a straight answer :)
