Filed/Accept 1/29; Able to Order Acct & Ret Transcript but can't view online

Bit of a unique situation here. I filed/accepted on 1/29. I checked today because I am insane to see if I could view my transcripts online. They weren’t available to view. I figured, lets see if I can order them by mail. In the past, I would get an error message if they weren’t ready. To my surprise, I could order both my account AND return by mail with the 5-10 business days message. Thinking this was some cruel glitch, I called and attempted to order them by phone… low and behold, I was able to do so with both again.

SO, is anyone else experiencing this/has experienced this? It has to be an error, I can’t possibly be finished 2 days in after the last two years have been hell…can I?

Last year 2017 I filed and was accepted MONDAY 01/30/2017
I was able to order transcripts by the THURSDAY 02/02/2017
I woke up the next day FRIDAY 02/03/2017 to a DDD of 02/07/2017 which was that following Tuesday. so….. hopefully we will receive DDD’s tomorrow.

code 846 refers to refund being issued.
It may be that your refund is complete, but if you have the EIC and/or ACTC you might have to wait till mid FEB.

I am not sure what it means but looking at my tax account transcript, it shows

Code: 846 refund issued 02/06/2018

This is showing on the “Account Transcript” for 2017 at the bottom of the transcript. I ordered and viewed it online.

IRS shows both transcripts. I changed address in 2017, so i filed with the new one. Just out of curiosity i looked up transcripts with my old address and the system could not find them, only with the new one.
In my opinion that might just mean the IRS has processed my return.

Open to opinions.

I ordered my transcripts online this morning and I can now view them today. They were not blank.

I too filed 1/29 and accepted 1/29. I usually can never order return transcripts this soon after filing, it is either a new record or there is a glitch with the IRS website. I noticed that their website has a new look this year. In my experience as a internet sales manager anytime we make big changes to our website it can cause some errors and glitches. If the return transcripts aren’t in fact ready I am wondering if they will just sit in que until they are ready and then get mailed out.

Fair enough, I was just going off of past experience as I said. Most likely is the case. Just that I have received blank Account transcripts before but never been able to order Returns until it was finished.

Just because you can order them doesnt really mean they are finished, you could receive blank pages in the mail.

Normally I would agree. That has happened in past years when I could order my account but not return. But I was never able to order the return if it wasn’t ready. Is there anything different this year? Did this happen to you?
