Good Morning Everyone,
After a week of freaking out over the changing date thing since last Wednesday the 15th, my money arrived on my Emerald card as of last night 2/22. It arrived late in the PM, but still an hour and half before the 2/23 DDD.
I filed and was accepted late this year 2/8, and for me the process only took 15 days. If you consider as an EITC/CTC person the season almost technically didn’t begin for us till February 15th, than that means my taxes took 8 days. In my past experience 8 – 15 days was typical of filing to refund times. That’s just me though and only because I filed later.
I also want everyone to remember that, although the delay wasn’t announced till December of 2016, the PATH rule came into effect in July of last year. So keep your eyes open throughout the year for any hints of change, and to see whether or not we will have to go through this again next year.
Until next year everyone, and thank you for the support, and shared wisdom!
