There are two “Me”s posting, myself (registered with that name) and another. I just wanted to point that out.

I contacted taxact and they confirmed that my taxes hadn’t been efiled and advised me to submit again. Once I did both federal and state were accepted within a few hours. Yay, now I sit and wait.

Still not accepted, and I still can’t pull up efile status on taxact. What is the potential fall out if I efile again? I really think it didn’t go through the first time.

Filed with Turbotax on 7 January, notified by email from them that return was accepted by the IRS on the 13th. No EITC or any other child or ACA tax credits. Wondering if I am part of the “test batch.”

I filed with turbo tax friday and got accepted today at about 2:00 the tax code I got gave more info on Path act :
Additionally, beginning in 2017, a new law requires the IRS to hold refunds related to tax returns claiming the Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC) or the Additional Child Tax Credit (ACTC) until mid-February. Under the change required by the Protecting Americans from Tax Hikes (PATH) Act, the IRS must hold the entire refund — even the portion not associated with the EITC and ACTC — until February 15. The IRS will begin to release EITC/ACTC refunds starting February 15. However, the IRS cautions taxpayers that these refunds likely won’t arrive in bank accounts or on debit cards until the week of February 27 (assuming there are no processing issues with the tax return and the taxpayer chose direct deposit). Read more about refund timing for early EITC/ACTC filers.

My return was accepted today by the IRS. Its says within 21 days, but with this new law pertaining to CTC and EIC I am sure it will take longer.

So I filed on 1/20 as well. It has not been accepted yet by the IRS, but hopefully tomorrow. However I did read about the new Path law and everyone filing and getting earned income credit will have their taxes held until February 15th. It is required. On or after February 15th you will be sent a date of when to expect your direct deposit. They are estimating it to be at the end of February. So sad, but yes. I’m included in that group. So with the holiday weekend at the end of the month it may not be in our bank accounts until March.

Filed 01/17 … Received 01/18 first thing in morning. ACTC and EIC . Says within 21days but also shows new law info so I won’t get my hopes up too much. Lol. My info has been the same for 6 years and the amount I’m getting back is $140 difference from last year. We’ll see if any early filers slip through if info is the same from previous years. It’s hard for me to believe that they would hold so many thousands of returns like this but you never know with the IRS . Lol. Good luck everyone. I’ll keep updating as I see more bars.

I filed using tax act yesterday. I haven’t received any emails or texts. I’m not freaking out since they don’t officially open until Monday. Fingers crossed we will get accepted on monday. I know my federal will be delayed since I do have EIC, but my state usually only takes 2 weeks so I would really like to see that my return has been accepted.

Hello… So you haven’t been accepted yet? Neither have I, and I filed on the 19th. Hopefully we’ll see something change by Monday..
