F'D up no SBTPG Updates!!

Wtf is going on with the transfer from Treasury to SBTPG..they should have already rec’d notice

I keep checking and nothing, I am hoping tomorrow everything will update. I think I am a weekly. I filed 1/17/17 with turbo tax and having them take the fees out as well.

That’s not entirely accurate… at least in my experience. I’ve been filing through TT and having my fees deducted for about 5 years… Some years, yes, it’s the same day… others, it’s been up to 2 days later.

I only know because I do my gf’s the exact same time as mine every year… She pays up front, I do not. Our WMR DDD’s always line up… and she sometime gets her DD a day or so before me. Last year, her’s came exactly 40 minutes before mine. And yes, we have the same bank.

Now, I understand there’s a bunch of reasons why, but if everything looks the same and the money is going to the same bank, why the variation?

This isn’t designed to be an argument, just a “putting it out there” type thing.

How does the Refund Transfer work?

Usually 1 to 2 days before a refund is scheduled to arrive, the IRS sends a pre-notification of the refund amount to TPG. The IRS does not deposit the money at this time, but it is only a notification that the refund is on its way. We set up the disbursement upon receiving that pre-notification so that the money reaches the taxpayer on the same day it would have if the money was deposited directly from the the IRS into the taxpayer’s bank account.

I don’t know how SBTPG looks at deposits… If they show pending on their end, can they do anything with them? It may or may not be SBTPG’s fault.

Like we haven’t waited long enough already, you would think they would be on it, money disbursed. But no, they want to make us stress. Shame on you tpg!!

Ive never rec’d a deposit without them updating, hoping for a first..haha

I didn’t bother calling SBTPG itself, the IRS gave me my DDD and it works for me. However, it’s not unheard of getting a deposit before SBTPG updates. I know people personally who had this happen. Personally, I’ve never followed my refund through them until this year.

DDD for 23 rd after calling the number thats spreading around. Was hoping for DD today or tomorrow but without SBTPG updating before 3pm today its most likely impossible. Every yr they updated throughout the day. Dont see why they will make it difficult this yr knowing we already been held up due to path..yes I had fees taken out but never again, will always pay upfront from now on.

I know this is a dumb question but did you have filing fees or did you use one of the new completely free filing programs they have out this year??

I asked about this when I spoke to an IRS Rep earlier… Unofficially, she informed me that it’s possible they are only updating once a day. She also stated they could have received it and it could be “pending”. I am also waiting on SBTPG, so I know your pain!
