FAXING INFO WITHOUT LETTER

Guys, i talked irs last friday, they told me to fax 8962 and gave me the info where to fax,actually they told me to send it when the letter was on its way…today the letter just arrived , am i ok if i sent the info without the letter? because im reading the letter i should send a cover sheet and copy of the letter.. fml….

  @tampa bay well, i didnt, my tax preparer did fax all, she was the one that forgot the form, i suppose she put a cover letter? she sould know right?

  Anytime you send a Government document you should always include a cover sheet if you don’t have one from them. When you drop a precious baby off at a daycare, you don’t run off without giving the caretaker instructions. Baby might be sick or Gluten intolerant.
  
  Tell these people everything. Give them your assigned numbers, ie, cycle number, EIN employer numbers, phone numbers…anything you have!
  
  If you don’t have a form to return – design your own. Hand write that $h!t buddy.
  If you are honest and want to prevent a penalty or a MAJOR DELAY then tighten up. make a call, send emails and get it done.
  
  Hopefully they just ignore your mistake. Best of luck!

  @Lou im reading the letter and it say that not to double copies because result on a delay, i dont know what to do!!! i need my refund
