I’d be happy to just get outta 1541…

EITC, CTC and ACTC credits claimed. Had medical insurance all year so 1095b and my husband did gat a 1095c but he isn’t on his jobs insurance so the forum just said not to file with taxes and keep for records.

I have been on the long 1541 path since 1/30. I didn’t even get the path message. I’m so tired of seeing this. If I don’t see any progress by the 27th I’m calling and I am requesting a TA. This is bullshit. I have no offsets. I have no 1099. I only have one income and it was below 20k. I reported the taxes they took out and now I’m just over here waiting. Bah. This is bullshit.

At least you are processing. I’m not even processing. Never got processing OR Path messages. I’ve been on 1541 delayed since 1/30.

Tara the IRS is deemed essential. They would have to show up regardless of pay. But they didn’t. So they Are behind. Still not my fault.

Umm…me having the “being processed” message wasnt why i made the comment on this—-> The title was “everyone is updating……[I’m over here like]” (insinuating that they were the only ones without updates this past week….
I have not updated, not at all (which a tax filer on a weekly cycle would only update once a week anyways so if you’re not sure which you are daily or weekly…then how can you expect anything.) I’m assuming I’m a weekly but I don’t check that stuff so I don’t complain about it…see where I’m going….
It’s said the same processed bull the entire time, since the path went away, so no, I’m not “being processed” at the time I should have and have NO UPDATES. My processing date was 2/14….it wasn’t processed then and for all I know it still isn’t moving at all and nobody will know until tonight!

😂🤣 see my returns are accurate. I would have gotten. Nothing back but still was forced to file And I am waiting on credits due to me because of my bracket. Next time don’t assume the reason I am waiting is because of incorrect withholding.

Also stop spewing info you don’t know. Have a great day. Smh

Correction, BY LAW government employees are NOT ALLOWED to work during a shutdown unless specifically directed to. So they didnt voluntarily not come to work and not receive a paycheck while the government was shutdown. If they had the option, they probably would have just to avoid the backup now….

SOURCE- I am a prior government employee ( deemed key and essential during previous shut-downs, I would have had to show up to work with no pay)

Edit, boo hoo. Autocorrect is wonderful.

@youdontneedmyname there are still federal employees who haven’t been paid since the LAST shutdown, so no “boo boo”. Accurately calculate your withholding and you won’t even need a refund. Not sure where people get this notion that their personal situation is somehow more important than, say, working with zero pay.

                        @citizen

At least yours is being processed. Mine isn’t even Bing processed and I have little hope I’ll see anything tonight or next week.

It’s not my fault they decided to not do their job because the government was shut down and they weren’t getting paid. Boo flipping hoo. They wouldn’t have been so damn behind if they had just done their jobs. They would be receiving back pay. The government is shut down did not shut down the IRS, they shut themselves down.

😡 I’m not making excuses for them. I should have BEEN out of the 1541 glitch by now. But not here I am. 😡

Your not alone, filed & accepted 1/23-1/24
                            Path until 2/16
Stuck on “is being processed” since then….no offsets, 1 dependent with EIC no ACTC here. Same employer, same insurance, everything has been the same since 2016

So no, not everybody and the majority of us will update overnight tonight. That’s been what everyone’s said when they called the IRS so 🤞🤞 we see something in the morning! They only got some of the PATHers processed on time and are about a week behind with the rest. If you look online…after the government shutdown ended, they had:
5 million pieces of mail that needed sorted and processed
80,000 requests for tax audits from last year needing processed
87,000 amended tax returns from last year to process
(Those are just the numbers I remember. I didn’t copy and paste that so it might be off a tad bit…but that might be exactly what it said too!)

And then the current year to process….all starting Jan 28th. That put things into perspective for me so maybe that’ll calm some nerves, but don’t feel alone! I’m right here with ya😊
