So this is how my phone call went this morning. I was accepted 2/12 and have been stuck on still being processed, with a tax topic, no bar.
She said that at first, it went to the errors department 900 which is the errors that take up to 10 weeks. The 900 errors department is a department is where it sits until they figure out what error department it needs to go to. If it is a major error, it will stay in 900, if it’s an easy fix, it goes to error 100.
It then went into errors department 100 which takes 3 to 4 days to fix. For 22 days is sat in the error department before moving to the 100 error department. They have finished fixing the error on my tax return and it now has to finish the processing and it shouldn’t be too much longer. She said that some departments are still closed due to COVID and they are slowly opening back up.
They are asking that we give them just a little bit more time. I was in the errors department for 22 days before going into the ‘good error’ department 100 which is a simple fix but they can’t tell me what the error was that threw it into errors. She said usually it’s having a number on line 30 of the 1040 because of the stimulus but I have nothing on line 30, so they don’t know why I went to errors. But they fixed the error so now they are just waiting to finish processing it through and then I will get a date and to just keep checking WMR. So it’s a better explanation than “just wait 10 weeks”.
