EITC PATH, Funds being released confirmed

H&R Block Filers with the Path Message have been Emerald Card CS Reps and being provided with Pending Deposit of the 16th and 18th. SBTPG Has been providing those with the PATH messages and EITC similar dates and information. A bunch of peeps made the calls to Emerald after the first report (via a facebook page) and all confirmed the same thing one by one. Funds are being released, deposits are coming.

They tossed out the date of the 27th to ensure they didn’t screw themselves. It’s the whole cushion thing they do EVERY year. The wait is almost over friends.

Just called the IRS and the agent was very nice. He looked up my refund direct deposit date and it is 2/22. I filed & accepted 1/25, path message 2/1, back to “we are processing today. I’m happy to see positive movement.

When I check my status on h&r block I get this message: Federal return status: Congratulations! The IRS has accepted your return and your federal taxes are complete. The IRS is currently preparing your refund. We’ll update you when your Refund Transfer funds have been loaded onto your Emerald Card

But on WMR I also got the message that I’m in processing. I just don’t understand why they can’t be straight with us, I understand the reasoning behind the PATH act, but there are better ways. I’m in Ohio and I had to go online to take an identify quiz to help with preventing fraud they should implement something similar for federal next year.

I filed 1/11, accepted same evening with TT. Have EIC and ACTC. Having fees taken out for filing, so mine will go through SBBT. Mine has said from day 1 the same thing on SBBT that yours does. But, just to let you know..normally SBBT recieves your refund and sends to bank before WMR even updates with a DD confirmation. So, you may find out you have a DD on SBBT before WMR updates you on it. Last year it was in my bank account before either updated!

Y’all seem to have been busy today keeping each other updated through the lack of info.

Can’t help but feel the delays are intentional now.

The only thing I can think of is that today was a SSA deposit day for thousands. Perhaps they miscalculated the date the would release funds and why in the 23rd hour they kept emphasizing after the 15th. Now the 16th. The 18h…etc. Smh.

Yes, Jackson Hewitt uses Republic to have there fees taken from your refund. I used Jackson Hewitt this year also. Try calling the 800 number and see if you can get assistance. They are probably already closed. But try tomorrow.

So I filed with Jackson Hewitt. I have my refund being deposited on the the AMEX card. With fees coming out of the refund. I tried to log in to the republic Bank site and it said my ss#was not found. Are we sure those refunds go through that bank??

Serve deposits and all other transactions are handled and processed by American Express Centurion Bank. It is an actual brick and mortar bank in Utah. There are no other parties involved in their banking.

@Lynn I just tried that site. Just to see what would happen I entered a incorrect amount. It said not found , then again with the correct amount. I received the same additonal dialogue box with amount received totaling my expected amount. So fingers crossed they release it soon.

EIC EITC PATH MESSAGE NET SPEND LIBERTY TAX , state was received and took it all for fees guessing that means my refund will be here by Friday for sure . Filed Jan 18 I think ? Checked WMR Jan 21 has first bar . Now PATH message and too many attempts today .

Santa Barbara Bank is not giving out dates they are only letting you know that they are expecting your refund and they will release the refunds when the refunds are given to them

We will constantly update this page as we have news regarding the PATH act tax delay message.

Update 2/15/2017 2pm CST. We reached out to the IRS today and the unofficial word is that they will begin issuing direct deposits today at the end of day. Where’s My Refund will begin updating midnight tonight. It does typically take two days for direct deposits to process so be patient.

@Tom is correct and they do not see pending deposits because they never hold money for any reason. Had my amex serve for yrs and get my Friday paychecks every Wed. Around Thanksgiving I even got paycheck on a Tuesday. They are very thorough and loyal to their customer’s.

Amex Serve is not run by Meta Bank… American Express handles it’s own cards.

It’s anyone with PATH who’s been processed and pending . I think the 27th is basically their “21 Days” timeline. They’ll have EVERYONE remedied and refunded BY the 27th. It’s just their “by this date” date.

All we can do is pray and speculate. I wish people would stop asking for “proof”!! Everything is hearsay. We can only share the info we hear and read other places. Everyone needs to relax and be grateful for the info given to us :)

I am a pather. Filed and accepted 1/25. I used turbotax and had fees taken out. I get the path message and ordered my transcript by mail. Been reading all forums i can find. I did my own research and found out turbotax use santa barbara tax group to take out fees so I logged in with my return info here https://taxpayer.sbtpg.com/. Message said they haven’t been paid by irs yet but box below said money received and my amount which makes me thinks it’s pending . I don’t know for sure but I’m hoping. Figured I would share the link. If anyone else checks i would be curious to know if their experience was similar. Thanks. More waiting lol

Filed with H&R Block, in office, getting fees taken from refund and return DD into my bank account. What bank will be handing the transfer? In prior years, we’ve used TT and SBTPG was always a reliable source. But, I’m not sure where to check with now using HRB.

I have claimed both credits and filed my taxes on Jan 23. I just called HR Emerald Card, and he said that my deposit is PENDING (so I guess that is good?) but not to expect it to go threw until Feb. 27!!! Just going to be patient I guess…. :(

Filed on the 23rd accepted the 24th ,git the path message on the 3rd of February and still it shows same thing and says same thing when I call the refund hotline,anybody no anything bout when we will be getting our money heard some people I no say they ain’t releasing it til the 27th now?? Ya’ll need to realize we don’t have ANY information as to the HOW or WHY. All we know is that funds are being released/dispersed. We DON’T know to who, for what reasons, or anything else. NOBODY knows ANYTHING else. It’s all just best guess at this point, other than the fact we KNOW funds are being released.

@Confused the peeps called the crystal card people and asked about a pending deposit. You also have to realize it depends on WHEN you filed, if there were any holdups, etc.. Not everyone is going to see money THIS week. I think plenty people will, and after tomorrow we’ll have a better idea of processing/DDD date trends.

I heard the same thing. I have seen on other post that people have pending deposits. Unfortunately for me, my deposit is through my bank, so they claim they cannot look in their ACH warehouse and see if my deposit is there…..
So hopefully ours will be coming soon………
