Seems IRS are not following the supposed late February updates mentioned on their website.
WMR shows PATH message, yet SBTPG shows they have my refund. My tax year is now over.
Not sure why IRS keeps throwing us off with these supposed dates. Oh well.
Good luck to everyone, hoping for a fast refund deposit for you all as well.
Till next year.

Taxpayers who claim the Earned Income Tax Credit or the Additional Child Tax Credit may experience a refund hold. According to the Protecting Americans from Tax Hikes (PATH) Act, the IRS cannot issue these refunds before mid-February. The IRS expects the earliest EITC/ACTC related refunds to be available in taxpayer bank accounts or debit cards starting February 27, 2019, if these taxpayers chose direct deposit and there are no other issues with their tax return.
Where’s My Refund? on IRS.gov and the IRS2Go mobile app will be updated February 23 for the vast majority of early filers who claimed the Earned Income Tax Credit or the Additional Child Tax Credit. These taxpayers will not see a refund date on Where’s My Refund? or through their software packages until then. The IRS, tax preparers and tax software will not have additional information on refund dates, so Where’s My Refund? remains the best way to check the status of a refund. Where’s My Refund? is only updated once daily, usually overnight, so checking it more often will not produce new or different results.

Congrats!! So they are NOT holding them! Thanks for the proof

What time does the Sbtpg website update?
-
February 12, 2019 at 4:42 pm #4267187Kristi
Thank you Stanley!
-
February 12, 2019 at 4:32 pm #4267177Stanley
@kristi
If your in default on your student loan they will take it all and keep taking it until your loan is paid off or you get on a payment plan and make at least 9 payments i think before they send you a letter saying you are out of default.
Call the offset line to check if you have an offset. If you dont then you are good to go. Just get on a payment plan before it does happen because it is hard to get back. You would have to prove a hardship like your house is in forclosure or your getting evicted or something like your disabled and cant work.
Best to get ahead of it because they dont play around and you will be devasted if it happens to you.

My estimated refund amount has showed ever since a day after filing. Doesn’t say anything about the PATH.

“TPG has not received your federal tax refund.
If you have Earned Income Credit and/or Additional Child Tax Credit on your return, CLICK HERE for PATH Act info. Check your refund status at (WWW.IRS.GOV/REFUNDS). If your refund is delayed call 800-304-3107 to see if all or some of your refund is being collected through the Treasury Offset Program. If we receive your refund, it will be processed according to your original instructions.” -

@stanley my whole return last year was offset due to student loans and they didn’t take the fee because it just went straight to them.
-
February 12, 2019 at 2:26 pm #4267003Kristi
@stanley I’m concerned about the student loan thing myself. Do you know much about it?
-
February 12, 2019 at 2:25 pm #4267000Jen
Anyone that is showing amounts on SBTPG did you loose bars in WMR?
-
February 12, 2019 at 2:18 pm #4266981Kristi
My SBTG says nothing about path af all. Just expected and received amounts.
-
February 12, 2019 at 2:18 pm #4266980Stanley
If you used taxact to file return then you can check republic bank if you elected to have your fees taken out of your refund. I wonder what they do if you get your whole refund offset for student loans and they where going to take the fees from your return? Lol
-
February 12, 2019 at 2:14 pm #4266975starks
What is the exact message pertaining to path on sbtpg website??? Can someone copy and paste plz
-
February 12, 2019 at 2:13 pm #4266971Cortney
What is SBTPG?
-
February 12, 2019 at 1:58 pm #4266942Andrea021518
I noticed on SBTPG today that mine now also has a reference to the PATH message on the website. This was not on there yesterday I don’t know that means, but it did change. They still haven’t received my refund. My WMR never updates till after I get my deposit so SBTPG is for me that best way to check for updates.
-
February 12, 2019 at 11:53 am #4266778Chris
My sbtg isn’t referencing the path act yet I am path. Still not showing a deposit just expected. Does this mean I haven’t been processed yet? Accepted 01/31

SBTGP is TurboTax -
February 12, 2019 at 9:36 am #4266572Melissa
If I filed with HRB can I check sbtpg?
-
February 12, 2019 at 9:26 am #4266559Bobbi
By the way, SBTPG is also now referencing the PATH act info when u log in. Still only showing expected with $0 rcvd.

I filed 1/1 and was accepted within.inutes but I don’t have a Path message. Just TT 152..is that normal to not get path message when you claim EIC?
-
February 12, 2019 at 8:22 am #4266437
If you paid fees upfront Jenn Sbtpg is no use for you. The bank is only if you had tt fees deducted from your federal.
-
February 12, 2019 at 8:19 am #4266436Jenn
I used TT as well but I paid my fees upfront. Would I be able to check my status on SBTPG too? Also, which amount do I enter: the full tax refund or my federal refund? I’ve tried both and I’m not allowed to create an account! What am I doing wrong?
-
February 12, 2019 at 8:19 am #4266432Bobbi
@Amy
SBTPG is Santa Barbara Tax Product Group
If u filed thru someone like TurboTax and had fees and elected to have those fees withdrawn directly from ur return, they are the transfer company. -

Curiosity just because somebody finds something offensive or racist doesn’t mean it’s racist or offensive. Not in this day and age.
-
February 12, 2019 at 7:49 am #4266356Missy
I woke up to this:
Refund Status ResultsYour tax return is still being processed.
A refund date will be provided when available.
Please read the following information related to your tax situation:
Tax Topic 152, Refund Information
Please Note:
For refund information, please continue to check here, or use our free mobile app, IRS2Go. Updates to refund status are made no more than once a day.And my refund amount is missing from the left side. Would someone please tell me what this means? I’ve never had it before.
-
February 12, 2019 at 7:40 am #4266341Bobbi
Idk if anyone else has noticed but I woke this morning and checked SBTPG and it now has the reference to the PATH msg. Still showing expected but no rcvd.
-
February 12, 2019 at 4:43 am #4266218Nesswah
He posted a horribly photoshopped picture. PATH is lifted by a computer system. Everyone waiting has a C FREEZE at this time. Also, no one is saying they are getting refunds from SBTPG on Intuit. T.T AnswerXchange is my stomping ground.

I may have, lol. I didn’t really pay any attention to the year. Now that I’m thinking about it I probably did click the wrong year. I was puzzled as to why it would change so quickly 🤦♀️ Now it makes sense

@Immh
Did you accidentally click on last years transcript? I did that once before, so maybe you read the wrong one? -
February 12, 2019 at 1:54 am #4266174Immh
Anyone else transcript update? Mine updated and when I went back to get the screenshot the 846 was gone. I am path so maybe it automatically removed the 846 until after mid feb.

Transcript just updated with 846 code 2/22/19

February 5, 2019 at 3:38 am #4257958Curiosity
Usually when people say “not to be rude” they are about to say something rude. FYI if someone tells you they think something you said is racist 10/10 it probably is and if you can’t speak to someone without being perceived as “racist” or “offensive” then you’re right you should just take a vow of silence and not speak to anyone anymore. Not to be rude…..😂🙄
-
February 5, 2019 at 3:33 am #4257957MISS Jae
Not to be rude, but some people are getting carried away with the “being attacked” victim mentality. Not just on here, but in general. Everything is either “racist” or “offensive” and pretty soon people won’t be able to even speak to each other anymore!!
-
February 5, 2019 at 3:25 am #4257954Sarah
See I knew that was the case. Same thing happened last year. People saw the money but was not deposited or made available until a certain date after the 15th.
-
February 5, 2019 at 3:21 am #4257952PATH
@Ese808 Yea, first time today. Didn’t expect any updates until Feb 9. Then I saw on intuit people claiming SBTPG RECEIVED refund. So I checked, and sure enough it was there.
-
February 5, 2019 at 3:19 am #4257949Curiosity
Doesn’t necessarily prove that you had path either. But either way congrats to you. If my money was here early I’d be off this site again until next year…. 😂🤣
-
February 5, 2019 at 3:18 am #4257948PATH
SBTPG shows AMOUNT EXPECTED and AMOUNT RECEIVED. Both are showing same amounts.
SBTPG will deposit same week when RECEIVED.
So I’ll keep everyone updated when it’s deposited in my account. -
February 5, 2019 at 3:17 am #4257947Ese808
Dates says 02/01/2019. Was tonight the first time you checked SBTPG? Or am I reading something wrong lol?
-
February 5, 2019 at 3:06 am #4257944Sarah
I don’t believe that amount is available currently, it says received not available. But either way, congrats. I would find it extremely odd seeing as I work closely with IRS, for this to happen. 🤷🏼♀️ Anything is possible I suppose.

Just wanted to ask,
I filed through Jackson Hewitt, chose to have fees taken from refund. Balance due on JH website now says 0$. Does this mean anything ?

Yes, red for deductions, green for the amount that I will receive. Almost home, so I’ll post a screenshot.

-
February 5, 2019 at 12:45 am #4257897Wick3d
Yea im on here every year :)
When your money actually gets on the site there will be huge pie chart showing where fees and act are…. last year mine went on Feb 21 around 3-4am and hit bank around 8am
-
February 5, 2019 at 12:39 am #4257896PATH
I’ve been doing this for way too long to not know what I’m seeing. Santa Barbara has my refund.
The deductions have been made.
When I’m able to, I will post a screenshot.I understand how this time of the year makes everyone emotional. This is not a race to see who gets their refund the fastest. I do hope everyone gets their refunds as soon as possible.
So good luck to all. No need to attack me or anyone.
-

-
February 5, 2019 at 12:16 am #4257880The Sensible Guy
FFS. The IRS is in fact following the law. Just because SBTGP shows your refund amount on their site does not mean they have received it or that you will get it early. Your refund seems to have been approved but I bet you real cash money that you will not recieve your refund until after the 15th. The SBTGP site updated to what they expect to receive from the IRS and will deduct their fee and release the funds some time after the 15th of February.
STOP SPREADING MISINFORMATION!
-
February 4, 2019 at 11:29 pm #4257863
The day after I filed on turbo tax 1/15 I received the email that i was accepted by the IRS. I checked my sbbt account and the amount I am to recieve shows.
IT ALWAYS SHOWS ONCE THE ACCOUNT IS CREATED. It lets you know that they expect this certain amount and once it is deposited it will show as received MINUS the fees you may or may have not had.

If this is true, I agree with @ace7018 it might be showing but won’t be available till after the 15th. I remember that happening to people last year.
-
February 4, 2019 at 10:16 pm #4257790
Go and post screenshot on facebook just make sure you black out identifying info. I have a great feeling this is SBBT showing expected amount not the amount actually showing as there.

Dear Wicked,
BULSHITCARD was merely saying that the IRS must have made an error because he(or she) just got their refund as well, with same credits, and since it was an error on the IRS, they aren’t getting it back! -

I’ve had a feeling all along, that tax refunds would be different this year, due to the government shutdown. They are working against the clock, until February 15th!
