I’ve been coming to this site for the past 4 years just reading to get info but this PATH thing has threw me for a loop.
I have a cycle code 20170405
Processing date 2/13/17
So…..
When y’all with EIC or ACTC or both please update when u get a DDD.
I filed 1/24 accepted in minutes next day went to path message. Two weeks ago I order both transcripts n they were fine. Just trying to figure out when I will get a update on WMR or a DDD.
Thx to all….. -

That’s horrific and no one should ever have to experience something like that. I’m really sorry 😒..so much evil in this world. I pray for your family’s safety and also that you get your money faster than ASAP. Blessings to you!!

I filed with tax act and it still says no refund has been received on the republic bank website :(
I just need my money to move :'(
Not to put my business out there but a month ago I was followed home from the store by two guys and as my husband was shutting the garage they came running under it with guns trying to rob us and stabbed my husband 14 times in the head and my two kids were home when it happened thank god he’s OK but they haven’t been caught n it’s hard to sleep after the horror that happened in my house. -

I will say that now that we are toward the end it does feel a bit like Christmas. Just the fact that some of us could get deposits before WMR updates. Now if we get to February 27th and don’t habeas anything I may turn into the grinch, lol.

@ellie
I was able to get a rep at irs to switch my refund from direct deposit to paper check, so I will bypass the whole bank rejecting process. It’ll go straight to paper check

In re: to prepaid and pending deposits. I use Greendot for my husband’s paychecks. One job pays every two weeks on Fridays. We usually see it in there Wednesday afternoon.
The other job pays twice a month on the 7th and the 22nd. If either of these days falls on a weekend, Monday, or holiday (Monday holiday that is) we’ll see it the previous Thursday.
Every time it stays as pending until the actual payday but we’ll be able to use the funds as normal including the ability to withdraw cash. Luckily no overdraft fees to worry about since it’s a pre-paid.
It will be interesting to see how this plays out. I’ll update as the date gets closer.

$Teri. Was the IRS able to amend your refund method so that it is not sent to your closed account?

February 12, 2017 at 7:21 pm #4168281Ten1seven
Unfortunately I won’t see a direct deposit this year cause I screwed up with the bank and my account was closed. Anyway, does anyone know if they send checks on Wednesdays or is it just Fridays? I filed and was accepted 1/26. Claimed eic and actc, able to order both transcripts on 2/6 and updated to path on 2/8. Really hoping for a check this weekend or early next week :/ I can dream can’t I…

I tell him all the time. It’s just stupid stuff like his Xbox Live account, Google Play Music… I told him to let them cancel and then renew them so they charge him the day his money is in… falls of deaf ears lol.
Glad he’s not going into accounting, he would fail.

@Tom. Tell the kid to “opt out” of overtdraft lol. Those fees can kill ya.
If you are on auto payment using ach ( routing and account number) since they are sent early they are exempt from normal opt out provisions.
If it went through twice it was sent twice by your mortgage company. It happens. Call them first…before the bank. The bank has little control over duplicate requests.
Your mortgage company should be able to agree to stop one or credit…

I’m not ruling it out, some banks do things different than others.
-
February 12, 2017 at 6:30 pm #4168253Tom
The 15th is possible, as long as your prep fees are not coming out of your return. That adds another 2 days or so.
-
February 12, 2017 at 6:30 pm #4168251
Oh I agree they did it on purpose the darn bulldog’s but normally my bank would send it back unpaid so I just figured maybe they see my deposit pending so they decided just to go ahead and pay it and charge me the fee which is also going to be reversed since it was a mess up, just a theory on the pending deposit though
-
February 12, 2017 at 6:29 pm #4168249Jennifer Echols
@Tom so I’m processing on the 13th with a prepaid card, think I’ll be seeing something this coming week, like around the 15th? Lmao…..
-
February 12, 2017 at 6:28 pm #4168248Tom
Your transcripts, either online or through the mail.
-
February 12, 2017 at 6:27 pm #4168247Amanda
How do you find out what you’re processing date is?
-
February 12, 2017 at 6:26 pm #4168245Tom
Even if you have a pending deposit, it’s not available and can still technically overdraw your account. It sounds to me that your mortgage come unintentionally hit you twice… I could be wrong, purely just speculating but I do know my son has a habit of overdrawing his account the night before he gets paid… and yes, he has to pay the overdraft fees every time. College kids… smh.

February 12, 2017 at 6:22 pm #4168244
Well I have a feeling that something is happening, my bank completely messed up and ran my house payment through 2 times leaving me 600 overdrawn lol, I will fix that tomorrow when bank opens but my point is that they would never let me be overdrawn so maybe they see something that I don’t know about???
-
February 12, 2017 at 6:18 pm #4168243Tom
@Ellie is 1000% correct…
A normal, everyday average person can actually use this method… it is exactly like post dating a check. This is also how your employer does your dd’s. Otherwise, as soon as payroll would process, it would be in your account. My employer has our stubs on Tuesdays, Friday is our payday.

Banks are able to see them through. Not that anyone is allowed to tell you.
Tax refunds are sent identical to SSA and SSI.and can be sitting behind the scenes for days.
Tom is once again right on the money….each transaction is sent with a release date….when the bank is allowed to make the funds available.
Since banks are governed by federal regulations they can NOT and will not release earlier than the date specified.
Most won’t anyways…..

@tom
Will do, this week should be interesting at least.
-
February 12, 2017 at 6:02 pm #4168233Tom
@me
Keep my posted on if you can see it pending ahead of deposit.
-
February 12, 2017 at 6:00 pm #4168229Tom
I don’t have a theory on when you will see a pending deposit. I really doubt anyone will see it pending before the 15th. Most prepaid cards don’t hold deposits, they release immediately. If they make the claim “receive your direct deposit up to 2 days early”, they don’t ever place it in a pending transaction… and the IRS is aware of that. SBTPG will not see money until the 15th either, if you paid fees with your return, so not expect it before Friday the 17th… and they transfer money every day of the week. My sister already got hers on a Sunday afternoon.

@tom
My refund goes to my checking account. I typically see it pending the night before.
There is a lot of speculation that for people with some of the prepaid cars they will see it pending as early as tomorrow. Or that the people who are having fees taken out they will see that the refund has been received. Any theory on that?
-
February 12, 2017 at 5:27 pm #4168222Me
@Din
The Path msg and info from the IRS has beer stated WMR would update on the 15th. It has always stated that they will begin releasing refunds on the 15th, but that WMR will not update until a few days later.
People tend to read into it what they want. They will begin releasing refunds. Obviously all will not be released that day and if they don’t actually release until the 15th even those may take a couple of days to hit accounts. We’re almost at the end. Toms theory sounds the most logical as the refund will still need to be processed in batches.
-
February 12, 2017 at 5:27 pm #4168221Tom
…and trust me when I say they will start immediately on the 15th… Money will start moving earlier, with specific instructions to banks not to release it until the 15th… The IRS is fully aware that EVERYONE who falls under PATH will call NON-STOP until they get their money, and they don’t want that. It ties up resources.

February 12, 2017 at 5:23 pm #4168216Jean
Oops, I lied. One more thing. That only applies to path ppl. Non path people can figure their ddd by cycle codes where as path ppl cannot.

Gotta say something here and I don’t usually. Normally, I watch the site and the drama it causes. However, Tom is right. People with a process date of 2-13 will receive money between 15-17. People with a process date of 2-20 will receive money between 22-24. And people with a process date of 2-27 will receive money between 2-28 to 03-02. Listen to Tom, he knows what he is talking about. That’s all I have to say.
-
February 12, 2017 at 4:32 pm #4168202Ellie
@Tom. And that is the truth of it all.
People will call and call and call..
Truth is once it’s sent it’s at the mercy of the glorious internet and the Federal Reserve.
Things can happen along the way to slow it down.
But as long as the correct routing number and account number are imput….it gets there.
-
February 12, 2017 at 4:10 pm #4168198Tom
The IRS… and to get right down to point, just about any Federal, State or Local branch of government, banks, etc… ALL play it safe and give you a date further out to cover their own asses. They also use words like “after” to do the same. My refund ALWAYS has hit my bank BEFORE the date they say. They don’t want you calling them everyday until you get your money if they state it will be there earlier.

I filed and was accepted on the 12th, I am a weekly. I updated on the 3rd to the Path message and I could order transcripts on the 2nd by mail. I am a dumb dumb and only ordered the return transcript not realizing the info I needed was on account. I received the return transcript on Thursday in the mail. My question is…..do you think if I was going to get a letter I would have recieved it by now?? Just worried because I am a weekly, had an id theft 2 years ago, had to ID verify last year. Same job, same kids for the past 2 years…. don’t want to call the IRS, scared it will flag something….just REALLY counting on this money to pay my 10 year olds tuition that was due Jan 15th…. I usually get my refund the first week of February so it has never been an issue in the past, but the school is not so understanding that it is now a month late…
Sorry….I had to vent…..

Edit on my previous post….
Processing date of the 20th will see it that week*
-
February 12, 2017 at 1:51 pm #4168144Tom
I’m standing behind my original comment on this… if you have a processing date of the 13th, you will start seeing money this week starting on the 15th, depending on your bank situation… processing dates for the 20th will start seeing it this week.
If your return has no issues, there has been plenty of time for the IRS to have you set up and ready to roll on those dates.

February 12, 2017 at 1:50 pm #4168143Ellie
Well…the verbiage does state after the 15th..so…

When I spoke to an IRS Rep she told me to check WMR on the 16th for an update. Makes me think they may not even be updating on the 15th like is posted on their site. The waiting game continues…..lol

February 12, 2017 at 1:17 pm #4168134
I got faith that everyone that has the pathact with no letters or anything associated with it, will see movement this week. I’M expecting mine no later than Friday, will let you all know!!!
-
February 12, 2017 at 1:08 pm #4168132Kat
In my not-even-opinion-but-what-the-IRS-actually-said, it probably won’t happen on the 15th. It would be nice, but it probably won’t happen.
-
February 12, 2017 at 12:09 pm #4168118Bill
IMO they won’t release the refunds on the 15th for PACT. Those of us that just updated are getting our DD that day. I would assume most would update on the 16th with a personalized DDD for your situation. There is no way they would release everyone that is waiting AND the DDD they just did on the 15th

@Courtney. Very good question. It is all hope. Expectation. And…in the end possible disappointment.
Surprises me that there is so little info…the IRS must be keeping a tight rein on who actually knows. And what they know.
I would have expected some sort of “leaked” info by now….seems no one that might actually know is talking.
Very strange.

If no one works for the IRS how do we know for sure refunds will be in bank accounts on the 15th?
-
