EIC question

OKAY I filed 2/3 was accept on 2/3 only credit I had was EIC I have one bar at this time… Would I still be considered a pather??

  Which is why filing early makes no sense if you’re a pather because you’re wait is until the 15th. Unless you’re part of the lucky test batch. I wait until the 2/2. However last yr I waited a bit longer! Otherwise, kind of stressful.

  Strangely, yes! If you examine why path was implemented, a single filer w no dependents nor other credits should be a basic return and not path. Maybe I am not altogether understanding, I just don’t think path should include all who claim eic. It was started as a way to catch fraud mostly claiming dependents you shouldn’t and both parents attempting to claim a child also identity theft.
