Well, I got mine for the last two years on the 21st so… this year is a week later??! I hope that’s just a generic message.
-
February 18, 2019 at 1:31 pm #4278484gracie
@B.M.S – I filed on 1/18/19 and accepted three days later and I still don’t have a DDD. Freaking ridiculous.
-
February 18, 2019 at 11:13 am #4278181B. M. S
I also had the Path message until Saturday morning.
-
February 18, 2019 at 11:11 am #4278175B. M. S
@gracie, I think that’s just a generic message. I say this because I have EITC and ACTC and we have a DDD for the 22nd. Filed and accepted 1/28/19. Still very stressful. I hope everyone updates and gets THEIR money soon.
-
February 18, 2019 at 11:05 am #4278161gracie
So…i just read on irs site that for pathers, you won’t even see your refund until after the 27th. on the 15th at like 3am, I thought I briefly saw a update on my account that my ddd was going to be the 28th. I thought that was consistent with what the irs website stated even though the last two years I’ve gotten the DD a week earlier. smh.

Why! the hell is taking so long to change the status?? I checked both 2017 and 2018 and DDD is suppose to be this Thursday the 2/21. So it better be there…
-
February 15, 2019 at 8:33 am #4271065TATOOD
@Gracie, sux but you may be a weekly such as I. And in that case look for tomorrow morning for any movement. Best case scenario is Saturday update to Thursday 21’st DD. Fingers crossed.

still no update…what the hell..

Heyy, I efiled and was accepted same day 2/4, head of household &credits Eitc/child…very next morning wmr shows one bar w/ tt152 and my refund amount. Still wmr shows all same info to this minute, BTW I’ve never seen a “path” message on wmr or the app… and i filed exact same last year which wmr didn’t even show 2nd bar and I had already received my refund in my Rushcard. This year I filed with TurboTax super easy I liked…and chose the card thru them. I’m just being patient here taking it one day at a time🤷🏽♀️I believe we will have it sooner than we think tho🤔of course I can use it now but I will be patient and continue to remind myself too just chill cuz really it’s only been 9 days 😆lol. REFUND$DUST too everyone💰💸💰💨💨💨💨💨💨💨 I will come back and post an update 😉👍🏽

another government shut down….ughh…awesome. i hope it is not gonna delay my refund. I read on irs site that refund will begin to be issued on 2/27/18, i really hope it still holds true.

January 30, 2019 at 1:45 pm #4254367MikeE206
Last year I filed 1/24 and was accepted 1/25; same as this year with EITC and ACTC and also had an offset, and got my refund 2/13/18.. hoping I get it early this year too..
-
January 30, 2019 at 1:40 pm #4254364
To add to my last message…last year I eFiled (same credits) and was accepted around the same time and received State (MA) on 2/12 and Fed on 2/22
This year, State isnt even showing as being Accepted yet and I transmitted that over a week ago!
-
January 30, 2019 at 1:32 pm #4254357
No DDD for me yet.
eFiled 1/17/19
Accepted 1/22/19
Now…the dreaded PATH message! -
January 30, 2019 at 11:55 am #4254296Amy
It does say earliest is Feb. 27th for those with EIC, however, I think it said something like that last year and I got mine around Feb. 20th and I have heard some say they did the 17th.
-
January 30, 2019 at 11:17 am #4254269Amy
So if I have the path message is that a good thing?
-
January 30, 2019 at 8:54 am #4254176Leah00
I filed and was accepted on 1/25 and I’m still at one bar and no PATH message. I wouldn’t worry about it though. I’m pretty sure it took a week or so last year too. I remember seeing other people say they had the PATH message and being anxious because mine hadn’t changed. Eventually it did and I got my refund on 2/22 last year.
-
January 30, 2019 at 7:56 am #4254156Amy Brick
Okay I guess because I get the ACTC? That would he why? Last year received my tax return 2/22 I filled a week earlier this year assuming it will be around that same time. I’m now seeing some people say between Feb 27th and Mar 3.
-
January 30, 2019 at 7:52 am #4254155Amy Brick
I do not get the EIC and I have the same message. I don’t understand why I’m part of the funds being held I’m 100% sure it said I do not get that credit when I filled?
-
January 30, 2019 at 7:15 am #4254147michelle
@holly I was also accepted 1/22, and still no update or path message, just 1 bar and TT152. My sister updated to path over the weekend, but she was accepted on 1/12, so maybe it will happen this weekend. I’m also getting anxious for the change to path message bc this is our first year qualifying for eic, but my sister said she never got the path message last year and that hers changed to 2 bars after the 15th. Fingers crossed for all of us!
-
January 30, 2019 at 6:49 am #4254139becky
@ Holly, mine is the same thing. I figured for sure that I would update this morning; but I didn’t.
-
January 29, 2019 at 11:25 pm #4254078Holly
Can someone tell me if its normal to not have updated to Path message yet? Accepted 1/22 and still says provessing tt 152. Im worried😬

January 29, 2019 at 1:18 pm #4253935Chris
Last year I filed on 1/24 and got my refund 2/22. I’m guessing it’ll be around the same time this year. I got this notice from H&R Block after my return was accepted:
Since you’re claiming the Earned Income Credit (EIC) and/or Additional Child Tax Credit (ACTC), the IRS is required to hold all refunds for taxpayers with these credits until mid-February. Your refund should appear in your bank account between Feb. 27 and Mar. 3 (as long as there aren’t any processing delays). Why is the IRS holding refunds? about Why is the IRS holding refunds? – opens a simulated dialog – opens a simulated dialog
Amending your return to remove these credits won’t increase the speed of your refund and could cause further delay. -

Which transcript do you request to see the codes and cycle dates again?
I remember there being two different transcripts. Just want to request the correct one.
Thanks in advance. -
January 29, 2019 at 10:52 am #4253858SlikNik
I think mine just said Credit to your acct and had code 766 and My EIC had code 768? The credit to my acct seemed like the right amount for ACTC
I can look again if you need exact info
-
January 29, 2019 at 10:39 am #4253845J Edint
Is it just terribly early and the ACTC hasn’t been processed on anyone’s returns? For instance my transcripts list an amount under 766 (EIC) but nothing further. Just wondering! :)
-
January 29, 2019 at 10:32 am #4253836SlikNik
Sorry found it! Processing date: February 11th!
-
January 29, 2019 at 10:30 am #4253833SlikNik

January 29, 2019 at 9:57 am #4253824Nicole
Last year I claimed both credits, accepted on 1/31 and had a DDD of 2/22. I am expecting the same this year. It’s been the same for the past two years. Just sucks knowing that money is there just waiting lol.
This year I filed on 1/27, accepted 1/28, have the Tax Topic 152 message. I expect it to change to the PATH message by this weeks update. I am a weekly updater which sucks but whatever ! Happy Tax month! -
January 29, 2019 at 7:13 am #4253775NoDelayHere
I don’t use the “Box Store” tax preparers so maybe they have a different filing process.
I go through a CPA and never been delayed for for filing early or having EIC.
What people don’t understand is, the IRS “CAN” hold back or delay if you have one of the above, they DO NOT just automatically do so or atleast i have never experienced this delay.Last year i revived my refund a full 5 days before the “Release Date” rolled around and im ecspected to receive my current refund within the next 12 days. I know several people that have never experienced this delay either but they also use a CPA. Good Luck!

January 28, 2019 at 11:33 pm #4253717PatientlyWaiting
Even though all the path credits apply to me I checked my transcripts and I have a cycle date of 20190405 and processing date of February 11th so fingers crossed for a deposit around the 15?! Does the 05 make me weekly? That part is always confusing!
-
January 28, 2019 at 10:53 pm #4253708
We wont see our ddd’s before mid Feb. Last year my dd was 2/22. If I remember right the earliest ddd any pathers got last year was 2/17 or 2/18.
-
January 28, 2019 at 8:50 pm #4253687Melissa
With EIC and ACTC last year, mine was in my account on 2/16. I had filed on 1/30. This year I filed and was accepted on 1/15. WMR updated to PATH message on Saturday.
-
January 28, 2019 at 4:16 pm #4253578Gracielou
I received mine alway late February for both years I’ve claimed both. This probably has to do with my last name being “T”. Oh well, as long as they issue the refunds in February. I am counting on it.
-
January 25, 2019 at 2:56 pm #4252915Stephanie Z.
Thank you, @Tee @Becky @Geisha doll_43
I ask because in the TurboTax forum, a few people mentioned that they received them the 1st week of February last year even after claiming that credit. I thought that maybe that was just a standard message from IRS just to avoid people from calling. But good to know that the majority will receive them until mid February. This is helpful, that way I don’t keep waiting on them. Thanks again!
-
January 25, 2019 at 2:34 pm #4252910
Last year pathers got deposits as early as 2/10 with a DDD for 2/22. It just depends on who you bank with and their policies with releasing deposits. Remember last year the irs also said no one would see a refund until late February, obviously that’s just a standard message.
-
January 25, 2019 at 2:21 pm #4252909Tee
I know everyone is posting different dates we should be expecting our refunds. If you look on the website it States they cannot issue refunds before the middle of the month. The date of the 27th is an estimate on when they may be hitting your bank.
“Why is my refund being held?
If you claim the EITC or ACTC on your tax return, the IRS cannot issue your refund before mid-February. The law requires the IRS to hold the entire refund — even the portion not associated with the EITC or ACTC. Like previous years, some tax refunds may be held if there are questions about the tax return or the IRS needs more information.
When will I get my refund?
The IRS expects the earliest EITC/ACTC related refunds to be available in taxpayer bank accounts or debit cards starting February 27, 2019, if these taxpayers chose direct deposit and there are no other issues with their tax return.
Why does it take so long for the funds to show up in my account?
It takes additional time for refunds to be processed after leaving the IRS, and for financial institutions to accept and deposit them to bank accounts and products like debit cards. Also, many financial institutions do not process payments on weekends or holidays, which can affect when refunds reach taxpayers. For EITC and ACTC filers, the three-day holiday weekend involving President’s Day affects their refund timing”

@Stephanie Z., I had both credits and received my refund last year on the 22nd.
-
January 25, 2019 at 2:02 pm #4252905Geisha doll_43
@Stephanie Z.
I claimed both credits last year. I filed around the 15th of January and waited until around the 10th of February for my status to change to approved on wmr. I received my refund on the 22nd of February. So they really won’t released them until the middle of next month. -
January 25, 2019 at 1:56 pm #4252904Stephanie Z.
Hey guys,
I qualified for the EIC and ACTC this year. The IRS website states that by law, they cannot issue refunds with these credits until the 27th. I know they had this policy last year as well. Did anyone who claimed these credits last year have to wait?
-
January 24, 2019 at 4:00 pm #4252741Pearl
@Kim the Child Tax Credit doubled this year. From $1,000 to $2,000

Does any one know if we get more money back for dependents this year? I heard that some where and want to confirm. Thanks
-
January 24, 2019 at 11:57 am #4252692Geisha doll_43
Hi…
I filed on January 16th
Accepted by the IRS on the 16th
Two days later I discovered I had a code 152 and 9001
All info is on the left side of WMR
Claimed EIC AND ACTC
I am also weeklyFrom previous years I’ve noticed two things… #1.. How fast you get your refund depends on whose desk it lands on. (This means no matter how early you file if the person is working slow it will take longer to see progress. If they get going to get the returns processed you will see your return quicker)
And #2… The IRS does not just sit there and wait until opening day to start processing refunds.. Most of the early filer’s taxes have already been completed but if we filed Eic and ACTC we just have to wait until the middle of February and during this time if you consistently keep checking wmr you’re only going to stress yourself out and get confused… Everything’s going to be ok. We just have to remain calm and know its going to arrive just when we need it…
Good Luck Everyone and let’s hope everyone goes through a smooth transition this year! -

@Jamie – Thank you :)
-
January 24, 2019 at 11:28 am #4252688Tee
I filed the 18th accepted on the 22nd. Wmr has one bar and the 152. I have both credits.
I checked transcripts today. The account transcript was there, not completed, but it shows the date Feb 11 in multiple spots. 🤷🏻♀️ -
January 24, 2019 at 11:09 am #4252687Jamie
Many people’s transcripts are showing deposit dates already from the 28th thru the 14th, with PATH message on the WMR site. Nik Nik no they are not the same only ACTC (Additional Child Tax Credit) is held under path CTC (Child Tax Credit) is not

-
January 24, 2019 at 9:55 am #4252676Nik Nik
May be a stupid question but are ACTC and CTC the same? Have an adult child I file that still lives me and get a small credit for him.
-
January 24, 2019 at 8:59 am #4252667Pearl
Thanks @Gradylady36 and @Andrew for the info. I will expect the worst and hope for the best! Mine was accepted the day after I filed, which I know doesn’t really mean anything, but its still pretty cool as I didn’t even move to accepted last year until the IRS started processing.
-
January 24, 2019 at 8:11 am #4252661Gradylady36
I filled on the 20th an got my first bar today in past years with the PATH act they start releasing money after the 15 of February ive been receiving mine the following week around the 20th in past years

January 22, 2019 at 9:24 pm #4252398Becky
I filed on the 14th…..just got accepted today. Have both credits as well. Last year I received mine on Feb. 22nd…..
I am just surprised that I got accepted today, last year I didn’t get accepted until the opening day.
-
January 22, 2019 at 9:18 am #4252279Pearl
Hey All! I filed yesterday with H&R Block online. Last year I did not qualify for EIC or ACTC, but apparently this year I am getting a small ACTC. I wanted to know how it went for people on path last year. Did refunds start coming in on 2/15 or was it 2/28? I have read both. Mine has always come in super quick but I am in for the wait this year.
-
January 21, 2019 at 4:29 pm #4252237Me
Since you’re claiming the Earned Income Credit (EIC) and/or Additional Child Tax Credit (ACTC), the IRS is required to hold all refunds for taxpayers with these credits until mid-February. Your refund should appear in your bank account between Feb. 27 and Mar. 3 (as long as there aren’t any processing delays)
-
January 21, 2019 at 4:14 pm #4252236Me
Eic will not receive a refund until late Feb
-
January 21, 2019 at 4:13 pm #4252235Me
Want receive until mid to late Feb
-
January 21, 2019 at 2:51 pm #4252227Holls
