How common is it to receive a deposit earlier than the DDD with prepaid cards etc?

If you pay your fees up front then you will probally get it as soon as irs tramsmits deposit to bank. For your prepaid card not regular brick and mortar banks like chase or tcfs

Trace it’s just luck of the draw. Doesn’t matter what day you filed, what day you were accepted, what state you’re in or what credits you have. People ask all the questions because they’re desperate for information, but you never know when you’ll be processed. We’re in test batches that are used to work on the IRS’s software. Some people that were accepted early weren’t approved yet (given a date). It’s unpredictable and you shouldn’t worry.

Up to 5 days?! I’ve never heard of that with tax refunds. If that’s true, people should be seeing deposits today. We’ll see, because I really don’t remember hearing that in previous years, but I just don’t remember in general.

I always get mine anywhere from 2-5 days before my direct deposit date on Netspend card.

You won’t get a refund any earlier than the IRS sends your bank a prenote that the money is coming. This usually happens 1-3 days before your actual DDD. Not all banks and not all cases, will give you early access.

There is no exception as the prenote is what notifies banks you have a deposit coming. Works exactly the same way with federal benefits and payroll.

If it’s “very” common, have you seen people say that here before or received it early yourself? I’ve heard “up to 2 days” in ads and stuff but don’t remember people posting about it.
