Well… currently on the phone with the IRS and I was supposed to get a DD today so I called.. I was informed that I’m under PATH ACT it’s a Hold and I’ll be getting my DD officially on the 22nd of this Month.

Trying to comment on the main page, how do I do so. Got a DDD of 2/12 and was hearing so much different information in regards to when I should expect my cash deposit. I have a Green Dot card and did DD obviously and just got both of mine. VERY happy…mostly because I read a bunch of comments/complaints saying they waited a week and still didn’t see it, waited longer and so on…but I literally didn’t wait the estimated 1-5/3-5 days and it was sent on the DDD and I got it at approximately 5am. I went to the IRS where is my refund tool website and saw that it wasn’t even updated to say SENT. I had to comment somewhere because I’m thrilled ;D got a text message from my bank because I have text notifications on…was staying up somewhat and checking every so often if it was sent …then decided to just fall asleep and woke up to the text. GOOD MORNING.

Ive been with green dot since last year. They are pretty good about depositing all my other funds like 3-4 days early but my tax refund always is slow. My ddd is2/12 but i hope any minute or hour today. Im on the east coast.

Yay! As of this morning SBTPG shows they received my refund & deducted their fee(s). Now I’m just waiting on them to transfer to my bank… I’ll try to update on here when that happens, just for timeline purposes.

@Big McGee I don’t have children so it’s not a matter of buying myself something while my child doesn’t get anything — If I had a child, that is a good idea, but one person has a missing child and is spending it on a private investigator to find them, so you have to be careful making that assumption assuming we are all selfish spending it on ourselves.

Most people that have children would likely be PATHers so they wouldn’t even get their refund yet….

Oh YALE, just hit bank. First year in a long time without claming a credit. All mine, son raised graduated college, on his own. Been on here many years, just lurking. ADVICE: if no dependents enjoy it. Got credits, buy your child a $1000 CD or bond every tax year, when they graduate high school they got money.because credits don’t last long. And seen what people going to buy themselves not there children.nobody mention there children, just them. Must be the times. Be patient it’s coming, what’s the worse, you don’t have to pay in. I bank with Chase an my deposit has always posted right before 11 PM pacific on the day SBTPG distributes the funds .

From what I read, if you have chime and had fees removed from SB it should hit by 6pm. A lot of people received in the afternoon it looked like with chime on previous ddds. Those that have the early direct deposit should see refunds hit their cards today so happy refund day! Hope everyone gets their refund soon, I’ll be checking on and off while I’m anxiously awaiting my $$$

Well I was nervous sbgt has taken out my fees and it should be hitting my account soon. I had ddd of 2/12. My bank doesn’t hold direct deposits even my payroll check hits about 2 days early.

It hasn’t hit my account yet but I didn’t get any notice about my refund on hold. Or delayed. So I hope I’ll see it later on today.

I will post when it hits .. also when i have the green circle on the site. I never had an issue with TT. But I paid way too much and will go a different route.

@ packie – trust me I panicked earlier too when some person (probably noseland) started a horrible rumor that we were getting paper checks and there was a massive delay …I had a car I absolutely love repossessed this past year because I ended up with a chronic illness that forced me to stop working for a bit, so I am the same way right now . I desperately need this refund so I can get a car again so I stop bothering those around me for rides and so I can pay some bills. I don’t have a traditional bank account so I don’t want to have to deal with cashing a damn check and if I had the money I wouldn’t have had SBTPG touch my damn money but like many people I didn’t have a choice. Trust me I need the money too and started freaking out as well, but there’s no truth in the stupid lie.

People have been getting their direct deposits early and without any issues from sbpgt.

I actually called Sbpgt and they stated there were no issues but there was a slight possibility in a delay of 24 to 48 hours but thats it and it would still be direct deposited.

I hate tax season just as much as the next person haha.

Oh god I’m having a nervous breakdown right now. I just read that they are going to have to send me a paper check and I need my money now. I owe some people some money and they really need it too. My blood pressure has been very high all night long bad I’m so stressed over this my head is pounding right now and if I don’t get my nerves under control I’m afraid I will have another episode. My WRM still just says approved and not yet sent. Usually on the day it shows “sent” even with the fees removed it is in my chime account the same day. I bet tomorrow will be the big day. Please stop telling people there will be delays I spoke to SBTPG and they said although there was a delay with the 2/5 refunds they do not anticipate any further delays so I bet we will see the direct deposit hit tomorrow for those that have a prepaid (fast ddd) and on the 12th for traditional banks.

people just advising if you are using turbo tax and getting fees deducted there is no hack at all but if u are expecting and ddd of 2/12 there will be about an week delay cause of the backup they had from 2/5 issue if u do t want to believe fine just advising so i can prepare adequately if u don’t believe me call them yourselves good luck!!!!

I am so upset at the people inflicting fear into all of us waiting for a 2/12 deposit that we will be waiting over a month for mass paper checks, and that nobody is getting direct deposit. How do you sleep at night knowing that you’re trolling people’s emotions when they are stressed over receiving their refunds. We aren’t talking about a small amount of money for a lot of people, and when people are underbanked to then worry about receiving a paper check and finding somewhere that is going to cash it is so stress-inducing it’s not funny. There are a lot of us that have important plans with the return, and I don’t know too many people that aren’t living paycheck to paycheck.

Everyone freaking out about SBTPG, there was a software issue that caused a delay in the 2/5 direct deposits, they have not been hacked, they are not sending out mass paper checks, they are not delaying your refund for 4-6 weeks. I have spoken to Turbo Tax and SBTPG today. They would have had to report a Data Breach of that size. They are working on the software issue and getting it resolved, many of the 2/5 DD are seeing their money show up over the weekend and today. Do not spread the rumor of mass paper checks and hacking. It is not true and needlessly upsets many people. Whoever started the rumor has had their fun, let’s not give them any more time.

My SBTPG updated today showing the fee deductions but then where it says amount paid to me it was $0.

I called and they said that they did send me the correct amount (I verified the amount with them).

They couldn’t offer an explanation why the site said $0.

I have Chime and I’ve got nothing. I feel a little better after talking to SBYPG but still a bit paranoid.

I wanted to notify everybody that I called SBTPG and if you see a red circle with a refund amount of 0, it means that we are receiving a paper check, but not for over a MONTH. They are in fact having software issues from hacking and will not be issuing refunds for at least 1-2 months. I just got off the phone with them and that is exactly what the lady said. I’m going to have a nervous breakdown.

In my exp3 I only get early deposits when I paid my fees up front. Your fees are going to be taken out from sbtog. That bank is having issues with thete software. You need to hope you get it 2/12 and not later.

Next year either pay your fees up front or use a free file tax software like I use because i never have the hundo arround to pay up front fees. I use freetaxusa and got my return 3 days early on my amex serve card last season.

It’s not true guys! People are just starting crap…again! People are receiving their refunds that had DD 2:5 now. It may be delayed for a couple of days but I truly believe whatever error took place on 2/5 has been corrected and we will see our money this week!

Well guys, I am so upset. I heard from Santa Barbara Tax Group that due to hacking, they are delaying and stopping any returns. They said something that it could take over a MONTH to get the damn refund. I am in tears, and don’t know what I’m going to do. My refund is supposed to be processed throug them due to my fees coming out from that. Now it will be march at the earliest.

ANYONE EXPECTING A REFUND FROM SBTG WILL NOT BE RECEIVING A REFUND UNTIL AT LEAST A MONTH AFTER DDD SINCE THEY ARE ISSUING PAPER CHECKS TO THE ADDRESS ON FILE.

All refunds going through sbb are being stopped and delayed until further notice.. apparently theyre network was hacked and as protocol they have stopped all transactions.. estimating atleast a month on further deposits.. wtf

I am hoping for an early 2/12 deposit. Saturday I stayed up and saw at 3:30AM that I was receiving a refund on the 12th! I have chime which usually is early for deposits, however with the damn SBTG I am not getting my hopes up since I am having fees deducted.
