Last year I filed on the 20th and got my refund the 30th. I got accepted on the 13th this year as opposed to the 25 last year no dependent or eic and for the past 5 years I usually get my refund about a. Week later and I just wanted to know if that could be the same for this year even though the irs technically isn’t”open” yet

So I filed with hr block yesterday and it’s approved it today. This evening I got a message from her block stating that the remaining funds are set to be deposited in 3-5 days. Mind you, I e-filed with EIC and ACTC. It is my understanding these returns are not set to be released by the IRS until Feb 15 and they expect the first checks to be available the first week of March. So I suppose I am a bit confused as to what funds are being deposited and why. The only difference is that my NM filing was disapproved as a part year resident, so idk if it’s the $36.99 fee for state filing that is being sent back to my bank (it’s supposed to be paid from my refund) or if it’s the full amount of the check because the email is so vague. It does not list the amount.

Last year I was accepted on the 17th and I had my refund by 1/28. So it’s possible we will just have to wait and see I don’t have any credits either
