What about entering driver’s license info?
my turbotax software said it was optional, so I didnt do it.
This that is slowing me down, while those who provided that info are getting processed faster?

Requiring Dr’s license to efile is BS.. and doubtful it is being used to reduce identity theft. . My Dr’s license is just that.. a license to drive.. not intended for the govt or anyone else to confirm my identity ..

I submitted everything they wanted
Still got flagged
Id verified 2/4Filed 1/26
Says they get extra 6 weeks if needed.. That’s some bs
Idk why/how it would take that much longer..Like many of you I’m irritated that people who filed after me are/will receive refunds before me..
Seriously there is no order to there order..

i started this thread b/c i thought not including DL info was delaying my refund..
filed/accepted 1/23
finally could order return transcript yesterday.
couldnt sleep, logged into WMR & found this:
Your tax refund is scheduled to be sent to your bank by February 10, 2016.THANKS FOR BRING THERE TO DISCUSS THIS & GET ME THRU THIS ANXIOUS TAX SEASON
looks like not having DL was not an issue!

I entered ALL the identity stuff… DL AGI, PIN. Filed 1/29 accepted 1/29, nada. Every year I get stuck in some BS black hole that delays refunds. I think they are just making up the excuses as they go along.

I provided mine. I moved last year so I figured providing it would lower the chances of a delay. Filed 1/28, accepted 1/28. DDD of 2/5 (funds are currently showing as pending by my bank).

I filed on 1/22 accepted 1/22. Stuck at one bar no updates. I can order account transcript not refund. I entered in my dl# as well. I was told that the Irs didn’t want the pu pic to know that they don’t have enough money to cover the refunds. What a coincidence the system went down. Who knows what the truth is

I entered both mine and my husband’s DL #s. Filed and accepted 1/26. One bar, account transcripts only, now system is down so there’s no WMR updates or transcripts available. I can only hope that it will be in my account tomorrow, as I originally expected.

I understood that taxpayers who filed early and used software that wasn’t yet updated to include protection against identity theft (enter your DL/ID#) were held up later.
That’s the story from a few who were told to call that identity check hotline anyway.

I entered mine and my FI’s when I filed for us on 2/23. Neither one of us has seen any movement after acceptance. I don’t think it’s relevant at all whether you entered your drivers license or not. It seems to be all random.
