effect how your returned is processed even if you don’t have to do it. I was considering just verifying online to give myself peace of mind but then I saw this message

“If you have not received a 5071C letter (or if you have other questions about your tax return), continue on to the IRS homepage.”

That has me nervous! I know it won’t let you verify if you done need to, but would preceding delay my refund even more?

If you’re worried about verifying online, just call the Tax Payer Protection Program no. And tell them you spoke with an IRS reo that gave you this number and said to call them. They can look at your information. No harm done. Then you will know if you need to ID Verify.

          I hope this helps ;)

never knew the truth, matter fact its hard to believe thats a fact because after seeing so many people say thats the reason your bars are missing because you have to verify id i tried it my self, once i passed it i was given the message that i would receive my refund in 6 to 8 weeks. i thought it was full of bs at first, but then i told my wife to try it. she also lost her bars. once she tried to do the process it wouldn’t let her proceed. thought that was kinda weird that it allowed me to go through with it but not her. about 3 am that next morning she received a ddd of 2/10 lol. checked mine and my bars was still missing lol. so a few days had past and my 21 days was up. called the irs and they told me i was flagged for identity theft. smh!!! told them i had already figured that because of the rumors and i had already verified my id online a week before then and she looked it up and confirmed it. told me i had to wait 6 to 8 weeks from that day i verified to receive a tax return. i was like wow!!! also i was told that they are trained to tell you that, i guess to keep the call volume down but its rumors that most people received them with in a few weeks. but yeah if it lets you proceed with the process of verifying, then yeah you been flagged and its better to gone head and get it out the way like i did. cause if you dont, your 6 to 8 weeks will start from that very same day you find out lol
