      I just wanted to clarify, once and for all, the difference between a tax refund and a tax return.

      A tax RETURN is all the paperwork you file with the IRS when you do your taxes.

      A tax REFUND is the money you get back from the IRS.
      MThtwo terms are not interchangeable and man completely different things. It irks me when people don’t know the difference and refer to the money they will get as a tax return.
