      Hello Folks,
      I’m currently unemployed and filed my tax return on e-file last week. I have zero income so I filed a ($1) in the interest section of the 1099 so that my return would be accepted, which it was.

      I filed this tax return to receive the Corona Virus Stimulus check as per direction on the IRS website, However there was no option for direct deposit for my refund.

      I really need the money, and cannot wait the extra (months) i can imagine (as I did in 2008) for the check in the mail. E-file told me to call the IRS, which i did, as well as using many numbers on this website to reach a real human rep., but no dice. nobody picks up the phone.

      My question : Am I out of luck with adding direct deposit to my tax form?
