I experienced the same problem… they changed my status from head of house to single. Very strange. I am the only adult in my house with 1 dependent my child.. They did that last you and I had to send in verification of my lease and school documents for my child.

It always says that when your return hasn’t processed.

Can anyone shed some light on this? Does it mean the irs changed my filing status? I technically have no transcripts yet and what is the February 18th date listed?

Since it says no return filed yet i wouldnt worry about it. After your transcripts have actual info in there n it still has single 0 exemptions.. Then I’d take action.

WMR is no help at all. You can literally enter your social and pick whatever filing status you want to reach your tax topic. I get 152 and 9001 no matter if i choose hoh or single.

I know i claim 0 exemptions and single on my W-4 so that they take out more taxes. However I am able to claim Head of household and dependents on taxes. So that may be the case here.

@christian can you go on WMR n check? If you can, put in head of household. If it works n you can track your refund. It did not change to single

I’m confused. Do my 2018 transcripts absolutely show that my taxes are going to be processed as single and zero for this year? Also, what is the Feb 18th date that is shown? I’m so mad right now.

I had that same problem a few years back. I filed with taxact and they were the culprit Even though I was HH with kids, only adult in the home, they filed me as a dependent, single and with no dependents. Contact whoever did your taxes immediately so that it can get fixed quick. It doesn’t take the irs long to fix it, but I would get on it now. It turned out to be a glitch in the system with taxact.
