I FILED MY RETURN WITH FORM 8862(CLAIM EARNED INCOME CREDIT AFTER DISALLOWANCE). I FILED AND WAS ACCEPTED ON 1/29. IN WMR I AM STILL SHOWING ONE BAR WITH CODE 152. I HAVEN’T RECEIVED ANY LETTER FROM IRS. WHAT SHOULD I EXPECT? HOW LONG WILL A UPDATE TAKE?

My refund status changed on Feb 13. It says ” We have received your tax return and it is being reviewed. You will receive a notice from us requesting additional information within 30 calendar days. You may not receive all or part of your refund until we receive and review the information we requested. If you need more information after you receive our notice, call the number on the notice.” So now I guess I’m waiting on a letter so i can send what they ask for.

IRS will mail you a letter to give you item’s you either need to mail or fax to them it normally takes two weeks for letter then 6-8 weeks for return

Same here. My friend filed and was accepted on 2/2. Still no changes on WMR. I’ve never had to file this form so I’m completely clueless as to how long it will take to receive an update or when he might receive his refund. Has anyone had any updates at all?

Exact Same situation, filed 1/29 with 8862! Were you audited last year? I was now I’m doing a audit reconsideration. Hope we update sooon
