No, I haven’t. I do owe $1700 to child support, but my refund is for 3700. Wmr says sent to the fiscal service to take the $1700 and they would send the rest to me via the way I chose which is direct deposit but still nothing. I’m trying to reach someone at fiscal now. I have $1900 in limbo that I really need!!

I had an offset last year and they were suppose to send a check for the remainder amount. Check came and it was for my whole refund. Now this year, beibg offset for the same debt they fd up on last year. Wmr shows sent to bank with full refund amount showing. Collection agency hasnt got the payment yet. Its like my refund is in total limbo right now. Hope it gets reversed and sent to me either via check or DD. #fuckthegovt

I got an email from Turbo Tax on 2/27 saying that my refund would be deposited in 1-2 business days by TPG

I found the TPG website and followed the instructions and now it is saying that I need to verify more information on my account, and to follow a link that doesn’t work.

This is frustrating because I can easily verify that I’m, me, but not without a working link to where I need to submit information.

Have you received your refund yet? I saw ur issue and I have that exact one. WMR says they sent it 2/27 yet SBTPG doesn’t have it yet and neither do I…I’m not understanding what’s going on! I have no offsets or anything like that, Iv never seen this before. Once I see WMR say sent, the $ is in my account by then, but nothing yet. And I opted for the Turbo Tax prepaid Netspend card. So, was just wondering if you have received an update, or your money?

Federal Refund Status Update

We have processed all Federal refunds that have been received.

If the IRS “Where’s my Refund?” site states that a refund “…is scheduled to be sent to your bank by February 27, 2019,” we anticipate the refund will be available on the March 4th date displayed in bold on the IRS website.

I have a Direct deposit date of 02/27.

I logged into my account on the morning of 02/27 and my tax refund was there in full. Then when I checked later that same day, the funds had vanished along with any mention of the morning deposit, what was replaced was a “DEPT REVENUE” for 0.00.

I would assume if it was fraud and my money was stolen there would be a record of the deposit plus a record of the withdrawal/purchases. No such records.

The best I can guess is that the full refund was sent to my bank account from the IRS, then the fees for my tax filing with hrblock needed to be taken out, then the remaining refund deposited back into my account.

It is 02/28 and no funds in my account.

When checking with SBTGP, they have no record of my information or my wife’s.

Kinda stressing out here, calling my bank now.

I filed my taxes at the end January with H&R Block. Was told both my federal and state were excepted. A few days later i checked my state site (md) and it told me up front im not getting my refund and that DOE took my 1870. Alright cool atleast i knew where i stand with that. Now the federal on the other hand has a DDD of 2/27 that recently changed to sent to the bank. I also have topic 203 and called the TOP number and heard them say they are offsetting my entire 6759 federal amount. But then i see people posting they still got theres. I just want to know where the hell is my money!! Dont play with my emotions like this!! Like jeez i already “gave” yall money like leave me alone. Cant even get DOE on the phone because i keep getting disconnected while waiting in line for a 60 min wait!!!

Side note my WMR stayed on processing until march last year and then i got a letter stating DOE took my federal and state and i had no idea they could just do that..i checked my WMR again and it still said processing😂…so yeah idk man

Same update @Tara & @Crystal. I moved to refund sent still full amount but I’m a TT203 with the DOE possibly taking all of my refund. Checkedy transcripts after the refund sent update just now and still no offset codes. My DDD was 2/27 like everyone. Using Netspend and nothing hit yet. I’m mst so it’s only 1030p if anything changes ill keep you other TT203 folks updated.

I just keep pressing 2 or 3 and hearing the same automated promtsI have a DDD 2 27 with fees from turbo tax. No movement on my wmr or sbb. Has anyone ever gotten rejected by their bank and had fees taken out through sbtpg? I just want to know what tpg online will look like, Will it tell me it’s a paper check? Will it updated only after it’s sent? Will I know when it’s rejected before they send it? I’m on hold right now waiting to talk to a rep, 50 minutes now.💀

I had fees taken out from SBTPG . They were showing they had my refund for 8 hours before they released it to my bank. I’m in NC I bank with Woodforest. Next year I will pay my fees upfront. I know it’s hard guys but it’s coming. Try and do something to take your mind off it for a while.

FYI!! The IRS has said that their bank has been backed up today and that people with a DDD of today will see it today or tonight by 2am. So this info is for those of you still waiting and asking why you haven’t recieved it today. Sorry to say this but dont expect it. If you do get it it will be a miracle. I had an offset that took 2 tax seasons to clear for student loans. First year, the took the whole thing. Thw second was partial. They wont missed a beat if you have an offset.

MY DEPOSIT WAS SHORT BY $1,192 this morning. I called the IRS and they ensured me there was no offset and that they sent the full amount. Then I called my bank and they said they only got the short amount and that there was nothing else pending. So somewhere between the IRS and my bank account $1,192 just disappeared?? I also called Turbotax and they said they only received the short amount and only took $40 out for the fees. They said they would do an investigation on their end. How can over 1k just go missing? any theories?

TT card was the biggest mistake I ever choose to use they got hidden fees..i wanted to take my money off and put on another card instead of being scartterd I called aftet 45 mins on hold a man answers I couldn’t understand he said I can only take 1000 at atm and pay all those fees up to 3000 per month and I can go to teller n take 3000 I went to 2 chase tellers and was denied twice its bullshit and I will never use this system again…its my money I shuld be able to use how I want smmfh

I believe Walmart Money Card, Turbo prepaid are issued by Green Bank…
SBTPG is a Green Dot Co. Maybe thats why their system only displays logo in place of acct info?? Just a guess

It doesn’t mean anything. Everybody is different,using different companies, banks, cards, etc. The DDD is tomorrow 2/27 technically so if they haven’t taken fees out yet I’d just relax and be patient. I’d stay off this forum if seeing others receive theirs is going to piss you off…

About 6am my SBTPG updated and has received my refund. Likely will have it around 10PM if last year is any indication. Down to the wire as usual, but this refund is being used to zero out all our bills and give us a fresh start after a couple years of being really tight financially. SBTPG is the bank that gets your funds first if you had fees taken out. Once they get it, then they push it through to whatever bank you set up your direct deposit to. If you did not have any fees associated with filing your taxes, then the funds will go straight to the account you set it up to go to. Hope I made sense

I agree with Carmelo. If your dd is the 27th, don’t freak out until at least then actually March 4th would be you freak out date. SBTPG will be issuing refunds via direct deposit, check and WalMart moneycard starting tomorrow 2/26. There is NO time frame of when refunds will be received. They will be issued per order of processing.

From 10pm 2/25 to 9am 2/26 PST SBTPG website will be down as they process the returns.

I used TT. I had to ID verify twice and thank god I used TT because they notified me both times helped me refile “again” both times and I was accepted on 2/7. two verifies completed and then accepted In less then 7 days. I did not have to wait for a letter after I was approved and then wait another 2 weeks like most people. No stress and I knew exactly what was going on with my refund every step of the way. just saying…..Thank You TT!

No, Poe, you assume theyve been sent. The IRS batches them up and sends them, not all at once, so just because someone else got theirs isn’t some conspiracy by TT and SBTG. It wouldn’t matter who you did your taxes through. Once you file its out of TaxAct, TurboTax, Jackson Hewitt, HR Block’s hands. They were done the second you clicked ‘send’.

If you are upset about not having money in your account yet. There’s an easy fix to that for next year. Pay your fees upfront and then it goes straight to your account. It’s not TT or SBBT fault you didn’t pay fees upfront. So if you need help and don’t have the money for the fees they help out and you have to wait a extra day for that. So instead of bashing TT and the bank Pay Fees UPFRONT. If you can’t afford it at the time don’t bitch about the wait. See easy fix.

depending on which exact card you have it usually hits between 1130am upto 730pm. thats how its been with with me the last few years. there is no specific time but it will definaty hit by 730pm hopefully yours will hit early.

I went through this last year. SBTPG deposited the day before my DD a little after 5pm. I’m in Philadelphia PA and I have a DD for 2/27 as well. Pnc is my bank and I was able to get to the funds immediately. Fingers crossed !

your all welcome. now as far as huntington bank goes it all depends on how fast your bank works to put the money in your account. but sbtpg sent out an email today to some tax preparers as well stating that this year was really over welling due to the record amount of refunds due. but for sure you a majority of people wil get their money on the 26th that have a ddd of 2/27. so i know its hard to relax until you actually get the money but YOU WILL!! and believe me im just an anxious.

ok peeps i talked to sbtpg and they said That anyone with a ddd of 2/27 will see it tomorrow. i know that some people said that the site doesnt show sbtpg recieving it yet but that doesnt mean anything so dont worry they are dispersing checks, walmart cards, and prepaid cards tomorrow for sure per their words. depending on who you bank with will determine what time you will get it. i use turbo tax and the american express serve card and my time always varies it can be 1130am to 730pm anytime. so i hope this helped

I know this is really long, but it’s worth the read. I researched the heck out of this to be sure I was posting factual information in order to clarify some statements made by other commenters on this thread.

TL;DR: SBTPG never said that they only disburse after 2:30 PM Pacific time. According to the actual SBTPG website, they set up everything in advance so that you don’t experience any delays (on their end) when receiving your refund.

Just to clear up some questions and confusion, the info pasted from “SBTPG’s website” that said, “When IRS or state tax funding has been received, Santa Barbara Tax Product Group will release check print authorizations and direct deposit disbursement records beginning at 2:30 PM Pacific time.” actually came from the following link:

I don’t say any of this to argue with anyone or hurt feelings or anything; I just want everyone to understand that the information isn’t true. I would hate for anyone to feel discouraged or to panic when 5:30 PM rolls around each day and they don’t see any updates on the website or in their bank accounts.

I can say from experience that I have had my refund deposited one to two days early in past years, however, I can’t remember specifics. I hope everyone’s individual situations work out until they get their refunds. I know how stressful it is when you need the money and don’t have it.

Prepaid cards companies and their deposits “practices” or “assurances” have nothing to do with how SBTPG will disburse someones refund. That only applies if you are actually having your refund deposited straight into the prepaid card from the IRS. In this case, you are using a middle company such as SBTPG. This is because either you got a refund advance or you used an online service like Turbo Tax and they are using SBTPG to deduct what you payed them for filing your return. I’m sure I do not need to go further explaining this.

I’m with you. I will not be using Turbotax ever again. I was forced to upgrade in which I did not want to. And then to turn around and be charged $80 is ridiculous. Based on previous years SBTPG will have the money posted a day before your deposit date between 9am-12pm (eastern). I use netspend (Metabank) and they start depositing between 5pm-6:30pm (eastern).

All of these refunds are electronically transferred.

Depending upon the bank – they can be applied to individual accounts (usually as pending) or all at once if that’s how their program works.

SBTBG has shown they received the deposit from the IRS and my bank has shown an ACH (pending) deposit at the same time. That would lead me to conclude that when SBTBG updates – the update includes the IRS deposit to SBTBG, the process fees taken out and the remaining funds (from your refund minus the filing fees) automatically being electronically transferred to your banking institution.

I use a credit union. My deposit will show as pending until the deposit is processed – which they do overnight – and it is available at about 8am the following morning.

Every bank and card is different. You should know how your bank processes deposits and refunds and you should always make sure you can easily access your accounts just for your own security.

I never knew they charged the $40 as this year is the first year I didn’t get the free file. I saw someone said I should have known well.. I didn’t and they for sure don’t bother telling you.

You know the reason people here are “Complaining” isn’t like what you think. We post with each other to gather information about other people’s process. So before saying we are “Complaining” try and think logically on human nature. Just like a cat, humans are curious by nature and so even though you may think we are Complaining to us we are speaking on our situation.

I have enjoyed speaking with each of you. Just hate it’s on these terms as alot of you seem like you’d be cool to hang with or to talk to on a daily or weekly basis.

And for SBTPG…. I kick dirt on you for making us all wait when other “3rd party banks” did not. See those banks want us to get the money as soon as possible so they get that $40 again next year were as you will not from me. That is a promise. H&R Block got me for $800 one year and have never used them again. So best thing for SBTPG to do is to enjoy my $40 as they won’t see it ever again.

There is no delay associated with the Refund Transfer and it may actually help you get your money faster, depending on your circumstances. The answer depends on whether or not you have a bank account.

Usually 1 to 2 days before a refund is scheduled to arrive, the IRS sends a pre-notification of the refund amount to TPG. The IRS does not deposit the money at this time, but it is only a notification that the refund is on its way. We set up the disbursement upon receiving that pre-notification so that the money reaches the taxpayer on the same day it would have if the money was deposited directly from the the IRS into the taxpayer’s bank account.

SBTBG is on PST. They update at 2:30 PM. Depending upon your time zone you should see that they have received your deposit from the IRS after the time listed below. Some banks will show pending deposits but those funds are released (available) according to the bank’s protocol.

The IRS does not release to certain Banks in groups. They release funds as a mass “post”. It’s a very small file that’s uploaded through the ACH systems. It doesn’t take but maybe 30 seconds for us to post payroll to 6,000 employees for DD at my company. For people to be seeing deposits last night means that the IRS released funds Friday night before the close of business. So some are holding to make interest before releasing to us.

I too used TT, and like most, will be my last year with them. I had no idea that by me having them take out my fees, they would hold it longer. I called to the card to check if anything pending, (since SBTPG website still noy received) and there’s an automated message saying that if IRS initiated a refund, it will be available once it’s released, I’m assuming until the 27th, or your DAD. If so, this really sucks. Biggest lesson learned for next year.

@yeezy you are missing the point here. The point is the IRS transmitted the refunds most likely Friday night. So people are starting to see the deposits when ACH kicked in last night. SBTG holds them another 24 to 48 hours and on top of that is charging us a fee to process it on top of the TT fee. This will be the last year I use them.

SBTPG seems to hold everyone’s returns to gather interest. After charging me $39.99 just to take the fees id like to know why everyone else is getting theirs and we have not. On another note, they do not tell you about said $40 charge until after you fine. Trust me I looked and never seen anything like this charge. I knew I was paying $59 for the filing but that was it. Then after clicking submit I noticed the total was $100 and but the $60. I have filled using TT for more than a decade will that stops this year. My friend had the turbo card and he had the 2/22 DDD and he had fees coming from his.

SPTG received his and sent it to his TT card right before 8am on 2/21. SPTG didnt update the day before and and hadent updated until right before he recieved his DD.

In some cases your return can be recieved by Sptg and they might not send it out right away and sometimes they do. Last year a few people I helped file had theres held for almost 24 hours before it hit there cards, usually because of an offset. This is just from my past few years of experience with STPG and dose not mean it will be the same every year.

Is correct. Your total filing fees are withdrawn from your federal return. Your state refund will go directly to your prepaid card,therefore bypassing Sbtpg.

TT charges different amounts depending on what pack you choose and if you filed earlier or later. I know to file early and used the cheapest pay option it was 39.99 for fed and same price 39.99 for state then they charge you another 39.99 to have the fees taken from your refund instead of paying them up front. After about the 2nd week or so of February there price or the cheapest option went up to 59.99 for Federal. Some people dont notice that Tubo charges you to have the fees taken from your return instead of paying up front but they do. If you just have w2s and not a bunch of extras usually TT is free and they dont charge anything else.

Santa Barbara (SBTPG) will only work for you if you used Turbotax and selected to have them obtain your filing fees from your refund SBTPG is the bank that collects the fees. I even checked my bank records going back two years just to make sure I remembered correctly. 2017 and 2018 my DDD was 2/22 and my funds hit Bluebird late evening 2/21. I specifically remember checking SB last year and seeing they had gotten it around 6pm and then I went to the store and checked my bank shortly after 8pm and it was there. Why would we lie when the truth will become fact in just a few days?? We WILL have our money any day now guys. Don’t worry about the people being negative.

that is how varo/chime and some others work. they get notified by your employer of a specific amount that is incoming and then they deposit that amount to your account.

My friend has turbotax. She got a DDD for 2/22 and her money his her card Tuesday night. But there was also a people who didn’t get their fund till the day of on turbo tax netspend. It just all depends on when they send it to your bank. I got a DDD for 2/27 and I dont have fees getting taken out so I’m hoping it comes was early. But either way its coming by Wednesday. And I’m to excited to take my autistic son to chuck e cheese like he’s been telling for, for months now. Also taking all 3 kids to the aquarium. I fell like we should all still post updates and help newbies with their questions.

according to SBTPG site, “Usually 1 to 2 days before a refund is scheduled to arrive, the IRS sends a pre-notification of the refund amount to TPG. The IRS does not deposit the money at this time, but it is only a notification that the refund is on its way. We set up the disbursement upon receiving that pre-notification so that the money reaches the taxpayer on the same day it would have if the money was deposited directly from the the IRS into the taxpayer’s bank account.”

WMR says “Your tax refund is scheduled to be sent to your bank by February 27, 2019” so it could come before the 27th.

Funds actually do get released early on prepaid cards. You seem to be trying to be a party pooper. If you want to be negative you should create your own post. People can be excited about receiving their funds and they have the right to ask whatever they please. They are free to post whatever they want. It’s people like you who try to mess things up for others just to cause misery. Ugh.

No reason for this thread other than you have nothing better to do. I had use them for a couple of years. The money will be there on the 27th. They will not…again… They will not release the money any earlier. Anyone that says otherwide is on crack or works for them. If you have a DDD then be happy. It’ll be there that day.

Since the 25thbis a Monday those with DDD on that day receive on Saturdays.
Last time my DDD fell on a.Monday I received on a Saturday with Chase.
Only time I’ve received it early with them.

If fees are being taken out for Turbotax, SBTPG will receive refund around same time as everyone else.

It’s your preferred payment method that will determine if you get it before or on the DDD.
