My glob, it was insane! Beautiful and wondrous and all…But insane! I have lived out here since the start of my first grade year (age 6 in 1981 EEK!), after my family moved to Vegas from Pittsburgh, PA. I am telling you, man: Thursday I woke up to get my 8yr old ready for school, and I thought I WAS back in the Burgh! Total whiteout. Wish I could post pics here.

CCSD (Clark County School District) refused to officially call a snow day, but I made an executive decision and kept my boy home, because seriously? Folk out here already lose their sheet trying to drive in the rain, so snow? NOPE.

Then, CCSD decides around 6PM or so that night to inexplicably cancel school for the very NEXT day on Friday, due to “dangerous icy conditions expected”. Of course, Friday was GORGEOUS bright and sunny and barely brisk. No ice or snow or rain to be found in the valley.

And today Sunday I damn near had to turn my A/C on: super sunny all day and a warm 65 degrees. 70 anticipated by Wednesday. Thanks, Schizo Mother Nature!

I recieved my federal tax refund @ 10:08pm Sunday night on my Amex Serve card. I was not expecting it until Monday at the earliest. Sunday night just stunned me but im not complaining. I had no fees. That is the key to getting your refund early. Pay your fees upfront or use a free tax service. I personally used freetaxusa and will happily use them next year. They let me load my previous years tax return which in turn made my filing simple. I just had to chande my income amount and was good to go.

Never using Turbotax prepaid again. Should have stuck with my Netspend even my Navy Federal would have released faster.

You can call the offset line to see if you have an offset. 1-80-304-3107 make sure to hit option 2 as option 1 is for busines ownrrs. Also if its saying its approved and you don’t see a tax topic 203 you should be fine.

I have the same DD and I’m also with Chime. I filed using TurboTax. I’m hopeful for tomorrow too. I need gambling money lol I’m headed to Vegas in the AM.

@JMH Okay, so if there not any difference in the amount that the return should be and it shows a DDD, then I should be good? Or could it change before 2/27?

@TallDrink there is usually a message mentioning the offset and the revised amount of your refund in the approved message letting you know how much you are going to get.

Does anyone know when it would show if there’s an off set? I have the refund approved and DDD already but I think there’s going to be an off set.

I filed 2/1 accepted same day. Got PATH message on or about 2/9. On 2/15 received it is being processed. On 2/23 got a DDD of 2/27. Filed through H&R Block and read how people were upset because they weren’t getting their refunds until three days later in some cases. Some got them on time or early. I reached out to Him&R Block because I was concerned as everyone else is. They said it can take an additional 3-5 days to receive your refund after your deposit date due to fees being taken out. I have used them every year and always got my deposit a day early. IDK why it’s so different with them this year. Crossing my fingers that I’m just over thinking or over worried about nothing and I get it by or on the 27th. I also have been checking SBTPG. With no luck either. 😥 If it wasn’t for this forum the past three years I would have been bald from pulling out my hair. However this is the very first time I have posted. Good luck all.
