I have been using bluebird since 2013 and have always got paid early. My job pay date are Tues and I get paid on that Friday, that’s 4 days before. I never had a problem with this card. Last year I got my refund on the 23rd of February and the year before that I got it on March 3rd. Hopefully i will get it before the 27th.

The past years been using bluebird and always got my refund early. I was hoping early dd but didn’t get it on 22nd. I don’t think bluebird does dd on the weekend so I am guessing and hoping goes in on Monday.

I have no idea. The gentleman I spoke with seemed annoyed and didn’t offer any reason.

No offense guys, but this is exactly why no one can find what they are looking for. 3/4 of this thread, people commented things that had nothing to do with the original question.

@pload
That blows. Any reason as to why?

I’m a Pather filed on 1/12, processing 1/28. WMR still says processing and no ddd. Just got off the phone with the IRS and was told dd 3/11. I’m frustrated.

I’ve been checking every hour. What’s the chance of an early deposit if your offset has been paid off 5 days early.

@Aaron if you go on their website I believe that information is there or if you call them you can speak to a live agent

@Anon
I read on a different thread that they do, Sunday as well. However don’t quote me on that as I don’t use them.

Can anybody confirm SBTG processes funds over the weekend?

Yea, BlueBird has been pretty good to me. I get my paycheck and my daughters Social security income deposit on there. I always get my paycheck 2days early and her SSI the Friday before the 2nd Wednesday of the month. We are pretty much just the big bunch of unlucky ones stuck with this new reform.

This is the worst tax year I’ve ever experienced. I used to get mine before February smh but one thing I learned was to not file while the government is shut down. I filed on 1/13, and here I am, more than a month later, waiting with everyone else!

back in 2015 I actually got my refund in 10 days from the time I was accepted. I was in the test batch I figure. WMR didn’t update not once, and frankly, I never went back to check..lol..I didn’t care after that. I was a pather then too.
-
February 22, 2019 at 6:34 pm #4295801Hola

last year mine posted on the Feb 16th at 3:34pm PST. I never got an update on WMR until the following week, didn’t get a DDD. The year before that it was deposited on Feb the 16th as well at 3:13pm PST. I believe my original DDD for 2016 was Feb 24th and I got it super early. Just went through my old emails as well.
-
February 22, 2019 at 6:32 pm #4295791Hola
But my own experience I have got DD A WEEK BEFORE MY DDD. this yr I think there really holding all paths tell the 27th with the exception of those pathers who where in the teat batch.. again just my thought based on prior years

I just looked thru my emails and last year my posted to my bluebird card 2/21/18 @6:16 pm CST…I don’t know my ddd from last year can anybody speculate?
-
February 22, 2019 at 6:20 pm #4295763Hola
I’m in same boat as most of the people here. I filed 2/11 accepted an hour later and been stuck on your refund is being processed ever since. Also I’m a path. I have always used TT and had my refund a week earlier then my DDD. But do to the STUPID ASS UNQUALIFIED PERSON WE HAVE IN OFFICE. we all get to suffer and wait because he chose to shut the government down for well over 30 days to get money for a wall that 65 percent of Americans don’t think we need WHICH WE DONT
-
February 22, 2019 at 6:15 pm #4295752Hola
Anyone stating that sbtg holds your refund to collect interest is FALSE.. Be honest how much interest do u thing they supposedly make off holding your tax refund for a day? Pennies on the dollar? Soon as your money shows received on sbtg they immediately release it to your bank or prepaid card so if anyone is collecting interest it’s your bank / prepaid card

I’m curious to see what happens this year. I use US Bank, and in the past have always received my refunds the day that they are expected. This year my state was actually in my account three days before it was supposed to hit (and on a Saturday to boot!). I’m curious to see if my federal will also hit early, or right on time like past years.
-
February 22, 2019 at 6:12 pm #4295746
If the direct deposit day is 2/27 when do they actually release the money?

Agree, I experienced that as well. All we can do now is sit back and keep refreshing our bank accounts hoping it’ll pop up 😂.

lyric90…that’s been my experience too. WMR almost never updates accurately or at the correct time. I normally get my refund in my account around 2 days before it updates. SOMETIMES the refund sent or approved bar and date is off as well. I think we will have a ton of refunds hitting banks overnight and into Monday. BTW..Santa Barbara bank processes tax refunds on Sunday too during Tax time.

@MM
I’ve been using TT the past 3yrs with no fees. I don’t think that’s an issue. Hope we are all in luck today/tonight! Even tho I don’t have a DDD still I’m still hopeful my refund will show up without WMR updating like the past two years for me.
-
February 22, 2019 at 5:28 pm #4295634
we may start to see movement tonight on the Santa Barbara tax site. Some may start to trickle in Saturday too. Which normally means we may see some mass refunds start dropping Monday morning.
-
February 22, 2019 at 5:10 pm #4295606Penny
USAA and Santa Barbara Bank always posted the Friday before, used turbo tax for 10 years. I had Bank of America 5 years ago and they would post on Saturdays some years. I love TT. I think this year it may on Monday though due to the odd shut downs and dates.
I filed on 1/28 cycle 0505

I did mine through TT, no fees taken out. Wonder if that will make any difference. 🤔 Also, first year using the Green Dot card. Will definitely post if it comes early!
-
February 22, 2019 at 4:25 pm #4295523MeMe
I always use TT and have my fees taken out and the last few years I have always gotten my refund a day or so before the actual DDD and I use a Netspend card

Emerald card here. More than likely won’t get deposit till 2/26 but a girl can hope, right?

I’ve used bluebird for that last few years. The deposits been super early.. I believe once SBTG receives it. It’s an automatic realease. 2018 my DDD was for the 22nd of February and I got it on the 14. 2017 DDD was for the 21st and I got it on the 5th if feb. So soon y’all. But keep the updates comin!!
-
February 22, 2019 at 3:52 pm #4295455Fresh
I always paid my fees out of turbo tax. I felt is tho I got paid 4 days before the post date. I’m thinking Sunday at the earliest Monday at the latest using bluebird

Amex Serve last year my DDD was 3/9/2018 I received my deposit on March 9th five days ahead of schedule and I think it was around 7 pm that evening. and No I pay my fees out of pocket to process my returns last year I was with Taxact this year I went with Freetaxusa. either way if you allow them to deduct the payment from your return then your return goes to the processing bank first and then they decide whether to release it that same day or the day your DDD is supposed to hit, and the IRS processes in batches so basically SBBGT can be holding your money and collecting the interest off of your deposit and then decide to release it days after they get it. Thanks but no thanks that money can sit in my account and draw interest, I already paid yall, but that’s the way they make even more money.

I’m using BlueBird too. Praying we get it today 🙏
-
February 22, 2019 at 3:24 pm #4295369saabguy
Im sure Monday is when we will see them start to trickle down. I wouldn’t expect anything until then. Turbotax people will probably see them hit SGBT on Tuesday if you had fees taken out.

February 22, 2019 at 3:23 pm #4295367Leem
My refund has always deposited 3-4 days earlier than the DDD date. I use a credit union for all my banking.
