Hello everyone I filed on 1/24/2020 with Turbo Tax and this morning I updated to DDD of 1/29/2020. I hope everyone’s tax season is as great as mine! No EIC or CTC. Simple Refund only one W-2.

It’s already been a month since my taxes got approved on turbo tax, it’s says code 152. Should I give them a call? I’ve been patient! Significant other filed feb 6th and already received them.

I filed on 1/29/2020 with TurboTax, says the IRS accepted my return but the Where’s My Refund app still shows processing and only the first bar is highlighted. My parents did theirs 2 days after me and they are already getting their refund. I’m thinking this is an issue for many people right now? Anyone know of any hold ups at IRS??

I filed with H&R Block. I opened the app and clicked “print my taxes” and it gave me all my tax information I filed. I scrolled down to the 1040 part of the pages. (Mine was the 5th page, I don’t know if yours will be the same) and at the bottom it says the routing and account number I used. I don’t know if this will help you since you used TurboTax, but I’m sure they have the same option.

I use Chime. Sometimes their deposit times are odd to be honest. My DD is 1/29 also and it hasn’t hit my account, yet. I’ve received deposits as late 4pm in the past. It’s 3pm here in Illinois. Hopefully it will hit in the next hour or so.

Mine said it was sent to my bank on the 28th, same day as received by TT banking institution with charges from TT and other items removed. hello everyone. .So i received a DDD of 1/29 like 3 to 4 days ago(not sure exact dates i can look up in anyone interested) and usually Santa Barbara gets my refund the day before my DDD or maybe even the day of. So of course since I have seen other people saying their refunds were sent to santa barbara for fees yesterday and some had money in account today or some saw SBTPG receive the money today. I still have two lines still saying today for direct deposit so i am hoping sbtpg is sent the money soon some time today. I always start getting nervous thinking i gave wrong debit card number, etc. So if anyone could let me know if they have a similiar thing going on. Any info from anyone would be appreciated. Let me know what everyone else is dealing with for DDD of today. THanks!.

Mine shows on Santa Barbara Bank with the fees taken out and shows deposit date 1/29 to Netspend. But it does not show my account numbers only that it can take 1-2 business days. They have had my refund since 6 a.m. yesterday morning 1/28/20.

This is the response I received from TPG.

To my knowledge the ACH direct deposit is not dependent on a particular timezone as the window for the funds being made available to you is up to two business days from the disbursement.
As today is 1-29-20 and we disbursed your refund on 1-28-28, your funds should post to your account by the end of day tomorrow.

And regards to ACH taking a little longer, NACHA has changed some rules/policies over the last few years and I think that is changing the speed of everybody’s transfers.

Same thing for my last year’s tax refund. WMR showed 2 bars on 2/6, with a ddd of 2/6. SBTG showed received 2/5 and sent 2/6. Chase had it in my account around 5pm EST on 2/6.

Corinne, it only goes to SBTG if you didnt pay TT upfront. TT deposits the money to your bank, less the fees after. So SBTPG wouldn’t know about your refund because it’s routing directly into your account.

Typically it’s a little quicker paying upfront like you did.

This same thing happened last year. I can’t speak for the entire tax season last year, but at least The day I got my refund almost everyone seemingly had to wait and depending on their bank deposits finally started showing up in the early part of the afternoon and late afternoon. These forums were full of concerned people, myself being one of them.

I’m not sure if The IRS is simply getting slower in terms of releasing funds, or if it’s something else, but prior to last tax season I always got mine overnight. Seeing how this is now two years in a row of waiting throughout the day, perhaps this is the new ‘normal’

DDD of 1/29 (listed on transcript) (test batch) – SBTPG rcvd Full Refund from IRS on 1/28. Fees deducted and sent to Chime right after on 1/28. It doesn’t state it was sent back to Federal Reserve. It reflects ACH Direct Deposit amount with my Routing and Account #s to Chime Bank. Under Notes, it states “Please allow 1-2 business days for this deposit to reach your account” however, I’m sure this is standard. Hopefully, Chime will release sometime today.

Also, FYI: For anyone that has the Topic 203 for Offsets. I had that as well. That Topic can relate to any offsets, and that included the deduction from SBTPG (TurboTax). I also had Medical Expenses I owed to the VA Health but that didn’t cause any delay. Hope this helps! Hurry up CHIME!

I also have a DDD of 1/29. I just called my bank (TD) and they said they have not received the ACH yet. I also filed through TT – but when I tried to look it up on TPG like I have read through this thread, TPG says they cannot find my account. I wonder why. And I did choose for TT to take the fee from my refund.

Ashley S. The fact that WMR hasn’t updated to sent shouldn’t be an issue. I checked and my WMR is exactly the same as yours, two bars, refund accepted and refund approved but no refund sent. Even though I have yet to receive my refund (though my ddd is today 1/29) I do know it was sent. I file through TT and have my fees deducted from my refund through SBBT. I did check there this morning and they received the refund yesterday so it has been sent. Good luck everyone on getting those funds, hopefully today. I think the fact that mine wasn’t there this morning means I won’t see it until at least tomorrow. I bank at a credit union and last I knew they only do these things once a day. Of course, that’s my knowledge from years ago so maybe they’ve updated things and they update several times. Time will tell. It’ll be interesting to see what happens today with all of us that are waiting.

Refund was accepted on 1/22 had a DD of 1/29 check my account this morning and nothing. Go to WMR and it still says accepted hasn’t been moved to sent her but still says at the bottom “will be deposited on 1/29 if you don’t not receive it by 2/3 contact your bank” but the bar hasn’t moved to sent yet….should I be worried? They held my refund like 5 years ago BUT it never got to accepted. Anyone else helping this issue?

I checked a short while ago and mine came at 2:32 PM last year. That’s Pacific time so it would have been even later had I been on Central or Eastern time.

Ok… I have to say, I just called to check to see if my DD hit today like it was supposed and was surprised that it hasn’t. It surprises me because every other year it’s always hit on the day it says it will. I even go through SBBT and it’s still always been there the day it’s supposed to be. So I looked at WMR again to make sure I am right on the DD date, I am. Went to the SBBT site and it says they got it yesterday and I couldn’t see a place that says it has been disbursed but it seems to say they’ve sent it. Of course the first thing I think is something must be wrong. That’s when I decided to check here and see if anyone else has had any issue and I’m honestly relieved to see I’m not alone on this. PLEASE, if you are having this issue, I’d appreciate if you’d post again when your funds hit your bank. Hope everyone has an amazing day!

For those of you with a bancorp bank (Chime, Varo etc) and had fees deducted from the refund, it may be awhile based on last year. It’s strange because those banks are so quick with payroll deposits (I typically get mine a whopping four days early payday is Tuesday usually get paid Friday morning)

But they at least from my experience are quite slow with these deposits. US Bank which I used for years always like clockwork get it deposited around 5 or 5:30 AM on deposit day… With Chime last year it was nearly 3:00 PM before I saw it and some got it even later from reading forums.

The point is you should see it at some point today, but if SBTG took out fees, it may be a wait of sorts.

I had a simple w2. No dependents. Did my taxes in December with last pay stub. Couldnt efile till January 6th or 7th. Was accepted 1/13/20 in what I assume was an early hub testing. Tax transcripts updated early Friday 1/24 and WMR updated early 1/25 both had a DDD of 1/29. Will file early every year.
