Soooo after absolutely drowning in horrific stories about SBTPG holding refunds for weeks, even months (based on some BS identity thing)….or SBTPG shorting people thousands of dollars and limboing the remaining money for weeks….I’ve come to vent for the next 5 days of sheer anxiety

      Large refund, CTC, Married Joint
      Filed TT: 1/31
      Approved TT and IRS: 2/1
      WMR: One bar until 2/7
      WMR: Two bars 2/7
IRS: Transcripts up and day DD 2/12

Now I’ve heard good stories from SBTPG saying people got their money a day BEFORE the DD or the day of, super early morning. And I’ve also heard what I stated above. This is my first year electing to use my return to pay fees (and probably my last after reading about SBTPG).

I’ll keep you guys updated. I’m hoping for the FULL amount anywhere from 2-10 to 2-14

Just because you haven’t experienced any issues with them yet, don’t downplay the situation for the ones that are going through this bs! I’ve dealt with Sbgt for a while also and this is the first time this has happened. My deposit was the 5th! I still have no money and no real answers, so please don’t assume we’ve vanished because we got our money already. Because, that’s definitely not the issue. I hope this doesn’t happen to any of the upcoming ddd…good luck everyone!

You are right. I checked back and I used the same service 3 times before with TT and never had an issue. I’m going to remain positive and not worry about something that hasn’t even happened yet or may not happen at all.

I’ve ways used SBTPG and never had an issue. Don’t forget, the voices you hear and read online reviewing SBTPG and the horror stories are always going to be the negative ones. The millions of positive experiences go unheard because people, much like the posters on this site, get their refunds and disappear in a puff of smoke.

There’s nothing wrong with SBTPG and I think this is year 7 of me using TT, fees paid out of return, and I’ve always gotten my return before anyone I know. You can check SBTPG for movement on their end as well, though I don’t remember how

I also used TT and had the fees withdrawn, which I am kicking myself about because I had 35.00 to pay I just didn’t feel like going to the car to get my purse..ughhhh regardless I have watched the 2/5 DDD and felt so bad for all of them. I am praying we have no issues this coming up week. *fingers crossed* maybe because of the nightmare Sbtgp went through with this supposed glitch they have their stuff in line by now.

I’m in the same boat. I used my refund to pay fees. I am expecting a deposit on 2/12 also- starting Googling SBTG and the reviews are horrible! I started a thread as well, right after I updated! What I am hoping is that the majority of the things I have read represent like 1% of their actual traffic. I know I’ve been reading about those with 2/5 DD not getting their refunds- however it’s the 8th and most of those people have disappeared which leads me to believe they have their money, or they know why they don’t! I have received my state so I know my routing number/acct number is correct.

I thought once I had a date, I’d chill out but not so much. I truly hope for all our sakes they don’t play with our money!!

You’re welcome, of course. I filed w TT. Paid $130 fees in advance via debit. My bank account refunded $90 after learning my self employment status came w a discount. Leaving me w a $40 fee. Paid.

                      Thanks Target.

Yeah I didn’t do an advance, but I did do the automatic fee payment using my refund.

Wish I would’ve read all the SBTPG reviews before doing so.

I’ve heard some REALLY bad stories

                        Hello,

I have been a lurker for yrs. Never commented before this yr. What I have learned is, SBTPG, lags every yr. Additionally, it’s best not to take an advance if you can wait it out (difficult in a crunch, I know). Do not pay fees via your refund, also, if you can help it.

                        Seems you are progressing nicely.
                        All the best!
