      I’ve seen people speak about daily and weekly. What is the difference? What is it period? And I know they delay processing for EIC but what if you just have deductions?

            Hi all! I am confused. I filed on 1/5. Accepted 1/17. I have gotten no updates at all since then. My Account & Wages Income transcript are available. My Account Transcript is blank. It shows $0 amount for all the information with a process date of 2/12/18. Is this normal?

            Last year I received my return 2/20. What does this make me? With no updates at all I am confused…..

              Guess I’m a weekly. What does that mean for updates on WMR or transcripts? I can see my 2017 account transcript and my wage & income transcript but both say no return filed.

              Does anyone know when weekly’s update?

                After you get your Cycle date from last year.

                IMF Daily Processing (Individual Master File)

                IMF processing will be daily except on weekends. Some transactions post to IMF on a daily basis as opposed to during the weekly cycle.

                IMF Cycle Date is a daily cycle designated by an eight digit number indicating the year, the two digit cycle number and the two digit number indicating the day of the week (YYYYWWDD).

                The following values for DD are defined:

                01 = Friday
                02 = Monday
                03 = Tuesday
                04 = Wednesday
                05 = Thursday

                Note: This date is the equivalent of the Cycle Date in IDRS and reflects the date the transaction is posted by IMF. See Exhibit 3.30.123-2, Enterprise Computing Center – MTB Posting Cycle Calendar.

                  The best way to find out whether you are weekly or daily is to look at your prior year transcript(unless something drastically changed between this year and that year.) If you previously received your tax refund on a Wednesday, then you would be weekly. If it was on a Friday, then you were daily processed.

                    If you claim EIC there’s a delay. Has nothing to do with deductions,etc.

                    Daily processing means your file is in a batch that gets processed several days in the week. Generally they get a quick turn around and refund par system issues or something else.

                    Weekly processing means the various steps the IRS does electronically only gets done weekly. Refunds are generally 1-2 weeks longer. This is why the IRS claims 21 days from filing.

                    I was previously audited almost 8 years ago, and since then I was on weekly. Once I got married and we put my wife as the primary, it switched to the daily cycle she is on.
