I had to ID verify about 6 weeks ago which i did successfully. When i checked my Transcript considering that my WMR has been saying we have received your return and it is being processed ” – P.s “not” still processing, i have the codes 570 and 971 which are blocks from the return being completed. Now here is the tricky part those codes have a date of 4-6-2020 and have been that date since the day after i verified my identity- so im just trying to see if anyone else is having the issue and if they have had some luck getting an answer because clearly the IRS is not taking calls TA dont return phone calls so im kind of stuck in the dark with this whole situation….

@ardentcause, I had to IDV 2/27 (after filing 2/4 and waiting out the PATH lock). After passing, they processed my return 3/5 (which is 20201005, the cycle code I saw on my transcripts after the fact), and my DDD was 3/11. I do not have TCs 570 & 971 on my TS.

Sometimes people don’t get a letter or there’s a delay in its arrival. I don’t think WMR usually tells filers what issues might exist during the “60-day review” by the IRS. Just because your employer provided YOU with your W-2 doesn’t necessarily mean the IRS can see it on SSA yet.

Another possible (or perhaps probable) holdup is if you had marketplace insurance but didn’t submit the 1095a and 8962 forms, because some software packages didn’t prompt for them this year.

@thicks only letter i ever got was the ID verify letter dated feb 27th and completed that the following Wednesday. I have no issues on WMR ( other than no bars) it says we have received your return and we are processing it. I’m not sure what other issues there could be I dont have student loans i work for an employer who gave me a W2 and input everything exactly

JB (@ardentcause), the way I figure (based on observation and deduction), the IRS apparently posts an “as of” or processing date for the third future Monday. That’s when they expect to officially close processing under normal circumstances.

TC 570 is a block, and TC 971 usually denotes correspondence sent. Did you get a letter from the IRS?

I’m 90% sure the 570 & 971 aren’t from IDV’ing and the 5071C.

They told me when I called them to make sure I passed my ID verification.

@Alexf where exactly did you see it says 3/3, but also i feel the pain been sitting here just waiting and trying to calculate bills correctly its a struggle!

I field on 2/7 and verified ID on 2/29 (their system says 3/3) and finally my transcripts updated with the 570 code that has a date for 4-06-20 but nothing yet
