I am curious. Looking for trend here. Please post when accepted, and if you have one or both credits. Earned income, additional child tax credit or both… And what WMR status you have please! Aka is your where’s my refund saying 1541, 9001 or path.

To answer if it matters. I’m a weekly (05) so I can only update once a week. So i believe you as a daily can get your DD before me as i can update less often.

Marc your cycle code ending in 01-04 means you’re a daily updater. 05 means weekly. Since yours says 03. You are a daily. Your transcripts can update daily.

Here’s some helpful info to anyone. I’ve always been an early filer. Once the season opens my returns are accepted with 24-48 hours.

The last 3 years I’ve compared my transcripts and all have a turnaround time from processing to refund issuing of 3 days. And in 2018 I had a federal tax offset and still didn’t affect my refund date. I claim the same children (obviously mine) on my return yearly and my employment is the same. So no real issues. I hope this helps someone.

I guess that “90something% of filers will recieve refunds within 21 days of filing” isn’t true since PATH ACT started. I’m sure the amount of PATHERS makes up much more than 10% of filers n we definitely aren’t getting them within 21 days. They need to change their motto.. So we don’t go expecting it.

Exactly the same as me! Supposedly they say only dailies update tonight but I’m a bit skeptical about that. Now that everything is down makes it even more skeptical, it may include all PATHers? We’ll see

Filed and accepted 1/31. Wmr updated to PATH 2/9 with just tt 152. EIC and ACTC. I’m a weekly updater per the last few yrs so I probably won’t see any movement until next Saturday. I’ll post if I do update before then!

Claimed both credits. Filed on 1/22, was accepted on 1/23, WMR updated 1/24 to one bar. Updated 1/30 to PATH, no movement since.

Checked my transcripts for the first time on 2/4, and they were already there (I don’t know how long they had been there, that was the first date I ever tried). Just the usual codes, no delay or take action codes, no 846 yet. I check every day but they have not changed at all from when I looked at them for that first time.

I have also been looking for patterns so I’ll share what I’ve gathered so far. Looking at last year’s feed, the posts of PATHers transcripts updating started on 2/16, showing a code 846 for 2/22. WMR updated the next morning, 2/17 showing that same DDD.

The days of the week this year are problematic for that same pattern, as 2/16 is a Saturday, and I don’t think I’ve ever seen anyone post that their transcript updated on a Saturday. And 2/17 is a Sunday, I don’t think I’ve ever seen anyone say their WMR updated on a Sunday. Monday is a holiday, not sure if anything would happen on that day. Most banks, at least, would be closed.

I really hope I’m wrong about this, but I’m putting my bet on seeing transcripts update no sooner than Tuesday, 2/20, WMR updating no sooner than Wednesday, 2/21, and DDD no earlier than Friday, 2/22. More likely, the following Tuesday, 2/26.

Also from what I’m reading, those 1541 take action codes can, theoretically, show up anytime. So we’re not safe until we actually see either an 846 or a DDD. Those posts started showing up this week, with a big batch of them yesterday.

Perhaps the amount of the credit makes a difference in the path message or code. Mine is only for $70 so I’m sure it isn’t as big of a concern of fraud as some other may be, ones that are bigger?
I know it didn’t matter, it will come when it comes, but I just curious to the rhyme or reason:)

I filed Jan 31st…. Says received which is one bar. Tax topic 152. No other movement. I filed both credits do I dont expect any movement til the 15th. Same as last year. This year I have been good at not killing my sanity looking at a transcript for a date. The refund will be in my account by Feb 21st same as every PATH year. As long as I have no offset I’m ok. Make sure u dont have offsets by calling the offset hotline on google.

I am wondering, if the people with both credits are the only ones showing path message. Seems like might be?
Also I am thinking those accepted early (prior to 1/22) were code 9001 and have went to code 1541, unless they have both credits and went right to path.
Those after 1/22 are still at code 9001 if they have one of the credits, but already have path if they have both credits.
