Is there anyone out there still waiting to be accepted by Credit Karma. I see that those who took out a loan where accepted. Yet, I still haven’t heard anything about my Federal or State.

@ezsosa It took them 3 days for Federal and a week to accept my state. My federal only got accepted when I chatted with CK and told them the IRS said they can see if someone actually filed or not and she said they had not filed. Which is why it wasn’t accepted yet. Credit Karma said that it takes a little while to get from their system to the IRS. So, I don’t know what goes on behind the scenes. All I know is it was entirely too slow this year. I filed with them last year and don’t remember it taking this long. But this year is the last year for me. I have business income and W2s. I thought I would save myself some money because they do not charge for the 1099 MISC but it’s not worth it, if you have to wait that long. JMO.

have never seen or even heard of a tax service provider being the reason for any hold ups with refunds. It’s usually the IRS.

I have a question concerning the credit karma tax advance, I’ve found ONLY his related to that topic. When I did our taxes Jan 31 I applied for it, said was pre-approved for $750, set up my serve card account after getting the email to set it up, was finally accepted on February 2 , but I can’t find anywhere about if we were actually approved for the loan after acception. Credit karma is only showing serve card was mailed out on Feb 1 and accepted by irs. Checked serve account, no advance loan. Where or how you seeing if you are approved?

There are not issues with CK Tax at all. The problem is since they are free their systems are saturated.
The people are doing taxes with different providers and comparing with CK and the majority of them have determined that the difference could be 1 or 2 dollars, which happens with all the rest.
I filled my taxes with CK last nigt, and I was concerned because the delay in get accepted. Today afternoon I received a rejection notice from the IRS via CK because I had forgotten that my wife changed her last name to mine and I put her maiden last name, which did not match with their records.
So, I filled again with the correct information and waiting for acceptance.
Be smart and file free, and remember they are going to be object of attacks by the competitorts because they are going to lose money when the people file for free.
Regards,
Z

Is anyone still waiting? My girlfriend is ready to file and wants it free so if they have fixed the acceptance issues I’d like to know.

Too late for me, lol. I was approved for the $1000 with CK, but only got $500 with taxslayer. Oh well. Apparently tax slayer is $500 up to a $2900 refund and $1000 if over $2900 for your refund.

After you finish all your stuff and get to the file part it asks if you want to do the refundnow and if you want it deposited on a American Express serve card. Say yes to that and it applies for it . It’s a $25 processing fee plus $17 to file with classic edition

@ Tia Va. Chat is so frustrating. She said that it takes a while to get from their system to the IRS, which technically means the IRS is right. They did not file it yet. They are lying to customers telling them they are just waiting on the IRS to accept it. I’m giving them until tomorrow and if they don’t have it on by then, I’m just going to pay Tax Act the $100.

I’m talking to Credit Karma now. I just spoke with the IRS and they actually looked to see if they file for me. I was told they did not even file. So, some of us are not waiting on acceptance like they keep telling everyone. We’re actually waiting on them to file.

I had grew tired of waiting when people were filing a week before opening day and still being accepted. No sooner than I filed through tax slayer and did the refund advance did I get an approved for the CK loan but still no acceptance. 8 minutes from filing till acceptance yesterday. I got an email from CK saying my return was rejected because I had filed elsewhere and 15 minutes later just after 10pm I got an email from American Express saying my direct deposit loan was in my account. Credit karma has a long way to go.
