      All I’ve read is from last year. I’m trying to find out how long it is taking th IRS to process late tax returns this year. F/A 2/7 for 2017…called after my WMR changed to “still being processed…date when available” and found out 3/3 that my 2017 is being held due to 2 Unfiled years. My 2015 tax return was rejected and I know I didn’t file for 2016. Waited for IRS to send transcripts for those years so that I could file. Received the info and faxed the missing returns 3/14. Received the CP63 notice on 3/19. Called and they confirmed they had received my faxes. Today I received two CP59 notices that said they STILL have not received the missing returns. Called and found out that the codes for receiving those returns were added to my transcripts on 3/23 even though the notice was dated 3/26. I need some good news! Has anyone who was required to file a late tax return for a previous year get their issue resolved before 9-12weeks??? I really need my funds! Can’t get a TA yet, need a disconnect notice or something like that :(

          I still have not gotten my refund. My review was up in April. Is there a number of someone I can call for help the IRS phone number does not even give the option to speak to anyone now.

                @Cocobrwn I have the ACTC and was claiming a child that wasn’t claimed previously so my return this year was a bit different from previous years.

                  Great News @liltxman!
                  Mine were recieved about a week after yours so hopefully I’ll see a date next weekend. Your situation gives me hope that my situation will end soon. If you don’t mind me asking did you have EITC or CTC?

                    Woke this morning to the most beautiful site on WMR. A DDD of 4/4!!!!
                    So exactly 4 weeks after I sent in my missing tax returns. Glad it ended up being much quicker than the 6-12 weeks.

                    Gook luck to the rest of you. Keep your heads up.

                      @liltxman
                      Thank you so much! I knew I couldn’t be the only one. I just requested another copy of the transcripts for that year. I’m keeing my fingers crossed for both of us. My 4th week is up on 4/10. I sure hope mine are processing as fast as yours with know problems. I’ll share updates here as well. Thank you again.

                        So here’s my experience for reference.

                        – I filed 1/26, accepted on 1/29.
                        – On 2/8 got 1541 code on WMR
                        – On 2/26 got CP63 letter requesting prior year returns. Sent these on 2/28 and received on 3/2.
                        – Updated 3/21 to code 9001. Seems this may occur about 1 month after getting the 1541 message on WMR
                        – Called yesterday for update. Was told prior year returns were received 3/9 (which is a week after I know they received them). They are already showing as “verified and processed” which basically means no errors found and they were put into system. Rep stated it could take an additional 1-2 weeks after this for the “system” to clear the CP63 code and release the current year refunds. Rep did say in total it takes 6-12 weeks but in my case I’m close to completion.

                        Like you I did some research and everything is from prior years. Seems to average out about 4-6 weeks after you submit your prior year returns. I’ll be sure to post as soon as I get any updates. Keeping my fingers crossed for something tomorrow!
