I’m making this as a tracker for my cp63 notice and hoping anyone in the same boat will keep updated with their info. Received notice on 2-28-20 and filed my 2015 taxes with h&r block on 3-2-20, overnighted the 1040 form same day. Will keep updates hoping it helps someone. IRS says 6-12 weeks till they release my 2019 funds. Filed with turbotax this year claiming ctc.

October 21, 2020 at 8:17 am #4435521Liz
Finally got our refund this morning. We have been waiting since March. My husband had to send a paper return for 2015. We owed but they didn’t take anything out and we got interest. Finally!!

Finally a DD date for tomorrow October 21st. Filed and accepted January 27th. I got a letter in the mail late February saying I didn’t file my 2015 taxes. I sent in taxes next day and they received it about a week later. I called several times and nobody knew anything, I got my local Congressman to help last month and they said they would have my refund in 6 weeks or less. I still have no idea about my 2015 taxes but happy to get back my 2019 taxes.

@Nelly when did you mail yours in if you don’t mind me asking and did they take what you owe from your 2019 refund?
-

October 2, 2020 at 1:33 pm #4435422Umidk15
Just called the regular IRS line and they told me to call the number on the CP63 notice and that lady told me that 2016 is still under review but she released the hold on 2019 refund! Said it should be direct deposited in 2 weeks or maybe a little less. I should have been calling that number the whole time!
-
October 2, 2020 at 10:46 am #4435419
Got the 846 code today. Refund should be released on Wednesday! This has definitely been one hell of a tax refund year lol
Good luck to all still waiting. I’m sure it won’t be too much longer.
-
September 23, 2020 at 9:21 am #4435362Nelly
Well just got email from Usps informed delivery
Looks like I have a notice in the mail today- assuming it’s the offset letter which may mean I’m getting my refund soon!
-
September 23, 2020 at 7:49 am #4435361Nelly
Lol
Yea I know but I had to turn in 2 tax returns in which I owed for both
So I’m assuming that’s why it’s taking so long
-
September 23, 2020 at 6:35 am #4435360
@Nelly
I just realized I was saying next process date which is the term we use at work for our software system lol…I meant As of Date..
Wow your bars came back 8/12 and still nothing!? Mine came back 9/1 and I was hoping for some good news sometime soon but now I’m not sure!
-
September 22, 2020 at 9:06 pm #4435357Nelly
Oh got it! I have to order my transcript each time because I couldn’t get through the verification to get transcript.
I called about a week ago and was told to wait until Oct 9th which was an entire month from the September 9th date I was originally given when my bars came back on 8/12
So maybe they’re reading off of my transcript and that date keeps changing.. smh
-
September 22, 2020 at 6:19 pm #4435356
@Nelly
It’s on your transcript. It’s supposed to tell you that they are working on your account and the system is looking to have your account processed and resolved by that date. Sometimes it’s good news and people see a refund code shortly after, sometimes the date keeps pushing out to allow more time for processing.
-
September 22, 2020 at 11:30 am #4435351Nelly
What does that mean? The next processing date?
-
September 21, 2020 at 1:32 pm #4435341
Next process date is now Oct. 5. I hope that means something good is happening on their end.
-
September 14, 2020 at 7:11 am #4435289Liz
I’ve been waiting for my refund since March. I called over a month ago and they said I would update in a couple of weeks…I’m still stuck at being processed…I’m over it at this point.

Still waiting, no update
-
August 5, 2020 at 9:21 pm #4434561LArtis89
My bars came back around 7/16. I called them Monday and the rep said she could see they were actively working on my 2016 return. She said if I don’t have it in the next two to three weeks call back 🤦🏽♀️
-
August 5, 2020 at 7:02 pm #4434558Bnicole
Mine came back 6 weeks ago- in that time I did receive a check for my 2017 return. Still waiting on 2019

-
July 22, 2020 at 3:44 pm #4434278
I don’t see why they wouldn’t do the same for others. I did end up getting my states senators office involved so I don’t know if that had something to do with that. I would give that a try For anyone that hasn’t. Good luck guys!
-
July 22, 2020 at 1:19 pm #4434276Alyssa Mai
@palmal I hope they do that for me that would be so awesome
-
July 22, 2020 at 9:36 am #4434264Annie
Wow! I wish they would do the same for the rest of us still waiting. Congrats on your deposit!
-
July 22, 2020 at 12:20 am #4434256
Hey guys my deposit just dropped. They didn’t take the money I owed for 2016 because they still haven’t processed that return so I got my full 2019. I was told by the irs I would eventually get billed for my 2016. Good luck to everyone.
-
July 21, 2020 at 7:29 pm #4434245Bnicole
I received a cp63 early March. Mailed it off and IRS received it 3/9. My bars came back about two weeks ago. I called today and my 2017 was released and a check was mailed but still waiting on 2019. When I call and check transcripts no interest has been added so I’m assuming that’s what I’m waiting on 🤷♀️
-
July 21, 2020 at 6:59 pm #4434243
What was your file date?
-
July 21, 2020 at 6:43 pm #4434242
I efiled on 2/27/20 with turbo tax. Was accepted the next day.
WMR sin en Day 1 had said still being processed. No tax topic.
March 16,20 I got the CP63 letter stating I never turned in my 2016 return. I mailed it out same day and as of today still no letter or updates. Any thoughts?
-
July 19, 2020 at 10:57 am #4434208Bnicole
Same, still waiting. I did call and check transcripts and both my 2017 and 2019 are processed with credits…so hopefully I’ll see some sort of update soon.
-
July 18, 2020 at 11:02 pm #4434204Llamafoot
Congratulations, still no update on my end
-
July 18, 2020 at 9:27 am #4434194
@annie it’s 1800-829-0922
-
July 18, 2020 at 9:26 am #4434192
The interest for me was about the same amount give or take 20 dollars.
-
July 18, 2020 at 9:24 am #4434191
Well folks the wait is finally over for me. I have been in here since Llamafoot posted on March 2 2020. It is now July 18 2020. 4 month and 16 days later and I get a ddd of July 22 2020. I owed for 2017. What is funny about that is I am getting back more on my refund then originally suppose to as well for 2019. I guess the wait made a little interest on top of it.
-
July 18, 2020 at 8:53 am #4434190Annie
What is the 1800 number to listen to your account info? Ty!
-
July 18, 2020 at 8:32 am #4434187
Finally have a direct deposit date of 7/22
-
July 17, 2020 at 4:02 pm #4434174
I called the 800 to listen to my balances and my as of date changed to August 3rd it also said that I had $60 worth of interest. What I’m confused about now is I owed for 2016 but it’s saying they are sending my entire 2019 return by August 3rd. This has all been a mess.
-
July 17, 2020 at 12:23 pm #4434172raidersmagic
I received my DD 7/22/20 for my 2018 and 2019 refund.

-
July 16, 2020 at 8:56 am #4434148LArtis89

-
July 7, 2020 at 5:10 am #4433938LArtis89
@llamafoot –
I spoke to them last week, was told the same thing and she told me to wait six weeks. Mid August until I call back cause they’re not open and she was even still working from home
-
July 6, 2020 at 6:17 pm #4433929Llamafoot
After 4 total hours on hold I was told by the irs that processing centers are still closed for use that owe for the unfiled year. Doesn’t look like it’ll be anytime soon
-
July 3, 2020 at 7:59 am #4433839
@Sophia

-
June 29, 2020 at 9:35 am #4433754Annie
Well my info on wmr doesn’t match all of the sudden. I’m hoping they are working on the return. Wishful thinking lol
-
June 28, 2020 at 8:30 pm #4433744Sophia
So my account balance on my tax account went from 0.00 to NA, so I clicked on it and it said that it was updating my account that it could take 2 weeks, has this happened to anyone? Still waiting on my refund 🙄
-
June 27, 2020 at 1:07 pm #4433721Bnicole

Still no update for me
-
June 22, 2020 at 9:17 am #4433575Lmppim07
just spoke to someone at the irs today and they said that my 2016 is in the system already and they can see that they owe me a refund as well so the lady I spoke to did release the hold on my 2019 tax return and will hit my bank account within couple weeks, she said by 2nd week of july. Keeping my fingers cross.
-
June 19, 2020 at 11:27 am #4433496LArtis89
I spoke to someone at the irs this morning. They said all timelines have been suspended until 8/1. The data entry and resolution department should be open by then. I owe for 2016 but it will come out of my 2019 whenever they get to it. Filed 1/20 accepted 1/27 sent 2016 on 2/27. IRS acknowledged it 3/17. 3/20 they closed.
-
June 18, 2020 at 2:27 pm #4433450
it has been almost 3 weeks and my congressman’s liaison hasnt heard anything from the irs rep. he told me that the irs will reach out to me directly about next steps. is this how your experience went??
-
June 16, 2020 at 7:46 pm #4433399Bnicole
Oh I’m not. He told me if nothing else the system will automatically release it in OCTOBER. Smh.
-
June 16, 2020 at 7:18 pm #4433396ShottyB
Don’t hold your breathe…filed a hard ship during eviction 2.5 months ago. If they aren’t there to work what are you gonna do?
-
June 16, 2020 at 4:01 pm #4433391Bnicole
We’re having our daughter Monday. Contacted the hold department at IRS, he told me the fastest way to get it released was to file a hardship. Contacted the TA hotline and now we wait 🤷🏼♀️
-
June 15, 2020 at 7:00 pm #4433329
So currently there’s no way to get transcripts for more than 2 Years back? Got cp63 for not filing a 1099-R in 2014.. I might not even owe…
-
June 15, 2020 at 6:47 pm #4433328SOPHIA
My as of date is 6/15/20 still no update. Has anyone received an update?
-
June 13, 2020 at 12:21 pm #4433284

-
June 13, 2020 at 10:34 am #4433277Shelley Evans
HOLY CRAP, I randomly checked where’s my refund after losing all hope and I have a DD for next week, I did owe a decent amount for 2017 and I can not tell what they are taking for fees and penalties but I could cry I am so happy. I guess I shouldn’t get too hopeful until it hits my account but YES!!!!
-
June 10, 2020 at 6:04 pm #4433133Shannon lee
@ Jake 75 no I didn’t owe they owed me they didn’t take my state offset either. Now I just need 2018 refund
-
June 9, 2020 at 4:04 am #4433064Haley
My 2019 refund just hit my account!!!! I had a Ddd of June 10th and I bank with walmart greendot. Now I just need my 2018 to be accepted and sent to me!
-
June 8, 2020 at 10:00 pm #4433052Sophia
Did anyone get a update?
-
June 7, 2020 at 12:08 am #4432994Haley
@Amanda WMR doesnt say when my refund was released but the congressman’s aid that has been working with my TA said it would be released yesterday june 5th with a DDD of June 10th as long as the hold was lifted and updated my account. This morning WMR reflected that and showed a DD of June 10th. @ShelleyEvans I did not owe either year.
-
June 6, 2020 at 5:30 pm #4432985Shelley Evans
Did any of you who got your refund owe?
-
June 6, 2020 at 11:41 am #4432980Amanda
@Haley
what day did it say that your refund was actually released because mine was just released yesterday and I have direct deposit setup but I have not gotten a date yet so I’m just wondering when that should hit
-
June 6, 2020 at 9:14 am #4432972Llamafoot
Congratulations. My only update is my as of date. It changed to June 11th on my 2019 and 2015. No other movement.
-
June 6, 2020 at 9:03 am #4432970Haley
@Sophia so, this whole time, WMR has only shown my 2018 return info. This morning it wont show that, it shows 2019! I have a DDD for the 10th!!! Theres hope after all!!!
-
June 6, 2020 at 8:39 am #4432969Jake75
Shannon did you owe? When did you file?
-
June 6, 2020 at 4:50 am #4432961Shannon lee
I also got interest like 100 bucks.
-
June 6, 2020 at 4:49 am #4432960Shannon lee
Finally got my refund updated over night and already in my account
-
June 5, 2020 at 1:18 pm #4432921Sophia
@Haley,
Thank you! My congressman just sent my needed return last week so hopefully I get my 2019 lifted soon. Hopefully your will get released next week.
-
June 5, 2020 at 9:21 am #4432902Haley
@Sophia I wrote their office on May 11th. I had to sign a release form and mail it in, then I had to send a copy of my 2019 return, then I had to send a copy of my 2018 return. From there, the TA has ‘been able’ to get the irs to release my 2019 refund which I “should” be getting next week. We’ll find out.
-
June 5, 2020 at 1:18 am #4432887Shannon lee
Frustrated wrote congressman back in mid April signed release TA called resent all info may 3rd still no refund. Called last week and TA said 30 day wait so one week to go last week, but still no update on WMR. I’m so irritated.
-
June 4, 2020 at 9:48 pm #4432884Sophia
Haley…
So I submitted my congressman my information as well. How long was your process?
-
June 4, 2020 at 5:26 pm #4432876Haley
So, did those with a dd of june 3rd actually get their refund? The tax Advocate my congressman’s office is working with for me said my account’s hold should be updated and lifted by tomorrow which gives me a dd of june 10th. So we’ll see 🤞 that’s just my 2019 refund. My 2018 wont be worked for another 6-8 weeks.
-
June 2, 2020 at 8:00 pm #4432798LArtis89
Same. Owe for 2016 but due for a return for 19
-
June 2, 2020 at 10:31 am #4432779
Nope I haven’t heard anything. My congressman is supposed to be helping me but I haven’t heard from his office in two weeks.
-
June 2, 2020 at 9:08 am #4432775Shelley Evans
@palmal2 and have you heard anything? Last I was told they were expecting the processing centers to open June 1.
-
June 1, 2020 at 3:32 pm #4432750
That’s the boat I’m in Shelly. I owe for 2016 but I’m owed a 2019 return.
-
June 1, 2020 at 2:58 pm #4432744Shelley Evans
Has anyone that owes for prior year but is owed 2019 received tax return yet
-
May 31, 2020 at 1:49 pm #4432718

Hello, so I prepared my fiance taxes this year. He did file his 2016/2017 taxes so we got a cp63 notice dated for my b day Feb 17th 2020. We sent out both tax returns March 9th. No other notices, On May 15th his stimulus status changed with a ddd of May 20th in which he got on that date. No other status had changed. I see that it looks as if we are all pretty much in the same boat.
-
May 27, 2020 at 9:01 pm #4432556Llamafoot
No, she had no notices, just the same hold she had last year. They gave her a 5-29 ddd but its in her account already. Last year her refund was released in august
-
May 27, 2020 at 6:50 pm #4432550Shelley Evans
Did she have a cp63

May 21, 2020 at 12:44 am #4432244
Fellow cp63 here with a 5/20 DDD.
Someone mentioned the IRS wouldn’t send stimulus checks until our holds were lifted. And then we all seemed to get the same DDD… Could it be possible they have released the holds, and anyone who has answered that letter will receive refunds now too? -
May 19, 2020 at 7:17 pm #4432190Bridget12
My TA called me back and said that they had my refund on hold because they haven’t received my 2017 . But I told her I fax it in and mailed it . I have no ideal where the IRS puts the paperwork because I sent it in on February. So she had to send the 2017 to them for the third time . They where also waiting for income verification. So she said it should only take 2 weeks to finish processing. So we will see .
-
May 19, 2020 at 4:49 pm #4432184LArtis89
When I called the number to hear a detailed history on my account it says I should hear from them in 45 days and if not call back and it hangs up automatically.
-
May 19, 2020 at 12:42 pm #4432169Shannon lee
Has anyone who had TA SAY THEY were requesting a release of refund actually received refund yet? My TA said she was filing request for release two weeks ago and I have not heard back from her.
-
May 18, 2020 at 12:52 pm #4432062
I had sent my paper return in March, but it was never secured. I call collections in IRS (nicest dept ever!!), and they notated on my IRS account I would be e-filing because it was not secured,so it wouldn’t be a duplicate return.
-
May 18, 2020 at 12:49 pm #4432061
Shelly,
you CAN e-file. BUT you have to pay a tax preparer off the IRS website. You can e-file current year and 2 years prior. On the IRS website you can find all this information. I paid almost $300 to have someone file prior year each. It clearly states you can e-file past due returns and gives you an option to search where you live. I called multiple tax locations until I found one. Another girl on my fb group just got her returns past year e-filing too. -
May 18, 2020 at 10:16 am #4432026Shelley
Also, had you already mailed in a return and then just efiled another copy ? I was told we couldn’t efile. I’m so frustrated
-
May 18, 2020 at 9:49 am #4432021Shelley
Wait how did you E file for 2017? Please share.
-
May 17, 2020 at 9:12 am #4431959
Efiled my past due return. Finally accepted monday the 11th which automatically issued a 571 release on my 2019 transcript. Within 5 days i got a stimulus date for the 20th. My 2019 return is to be deposited the 21st and my 2017 deposited the 26th wooooo

I finally got my dd for stimulus too for may 20th!!!
-
May 15, 2020 at 12:13 pm #4431796Bnicole
I just received my DD for stimulus. 2019 taxes still on hold due to them not processing my 2017 that I sent back in March. I checked GMP this morning and it had the generic “will be deposited when we have a date”. Just checked after I received it and it says May 20th DD. So I updated at some point today 🤷🏼♀️
-
May 15, 2020 at 12:13 pm #4431795Shelley
y’all check again I got a date for stimulus!!!!!! It’s something
-
May 15, 2020 at 11:10 am #4431792Shell
who can I contact that’s higher up than congress? irs tells me I was assigned a tax advocate and I have never spoken with one, I started leaving them messages back in march, and no one will ever call me back. they’re so focused on stimulus checks, they arent processing tax returns. we paid our taxes all year long, someone has to help. I’m about to freak out on someone
-
May 15, 2020 at 10:46 am #4431788
So they just passed the law for people to receive another stimulus check and i have not received the first one. This is not right how we all are just getting lost in the system with no one to help us out.

I’m referring to late fees for rent fines for car insurance getting cancelled etc.

Congress told me they’d drop the fees and penalties….
-
May 13, 2020 at 12:22 pm #4431577Shannon lee
I don’t owe and my TA sent over release request about a week ago maybe longer and I still have nothing. They should be paying interest I know I’m getting charged all sorts of late fees for bills by the time I get money I’ll have paid 800 bucks in late fees.
-
May 13, 2020 at 10:55 am #4431572Shelley
Irs tells me I was assigned to a TA yet they don’t call me back and I’ve never been able to speak with one. I’m so sick over this
-
May 13, 2020 at 6:21 am #4431564

-
May 13, 2020 at 6:08 am #4431563Shelley
Those of you that filed out a privacy form and don’t owe for either year should have yours released immediately, my congress told me if I was owed she would have me file the form and have it released, unfortunately I owe a small fraction for 2017 in compared to what I’m owed
-
May 13, 2020 at 6:06 am #4431562Shelley
@jennifer Johnson so If they’re not processing paper returns does that include faxed? The lady I talked to said if I faxed another copy she’d secure it right away, she didn’t.
-
May 13, 2020 at 5:22 am #4431561LArtis89
What number is everyone calling????
-
May 12, 2020 at 11:04 pm #4431547Jennifer Johnson
I was on hold for 2 hours. All she could tell me was that my status says “processing”. They hadn’t received my 2018 taxes which were mailed mid March. I asked if they could tell me why the stimulus money was being and held…or what they’re doing to fix it. She said she wishes she knew. She said all I can do is continue to call but they aren’t processing paper returns right now…so those that I mailed in March will just wait in a box??? Ugh
-
May 12, 2020 at 4:21 pm #4431533
@M I filled out the privacy release form for my congressman’s office too. I’m hoping by opening a congressional case, my taxes will be released quicker than calling and calling myself. They received my form yesterday and are getting me a case number with a tax Advocate soon. 🤞

What number did you call? I -
May 12, 2020 at 11:24 am #4431513Bridget12
Ok I finally got in hold with someone. She told me that they don’t show I turn in my 2017 taxes . I told her I did but I can’t control what the irs does with the paperwork . Which is true once I mail it out and fax it and you still can’t find it I don’t know what to say . She said my taxes are not on hold . It’s sitting in the corrections department since may 4 th . So now it’s a waiting game . Although I don’t know what they are correcting? 🤷🏻♀️.
-
May 12, 2020 at 9:53 am #4431501M
I couldn’t get through to the IRS on any number I have tried. I did contact my Congress man and got form I had to fill out . It’s a release to allow them to help with my refund. I hope this actually helps me get my 2019 , 2016 refund, and the stimulus. I don’t owe any taxes you think they’d release my refunds.

My transcript updated with AS of date May 11 what does that mean
raidersmagic, it means they looked at your return for some reason on or around 4/23 (two weeks ago). Changes in the As of date, by itself, mean nothing with respect to processing your return or approving your refund.
Don’t sweat the “As of” date.

I called again yesterday just to see what new information I’d get from the rep. She stated they were still in office processing returns at a safe social distance. Not many were, but there were still a few there that were processing during the shutdown. Obviously I don’t know how accurate that is since I’ve seen zero movement on my 2017 return. She stated to give them 30 more days or to contact a TA and request a manual release.
-
May 7, 2020 at 9:09 am #4431091
It also makes no sense because other people with 570 holds for other reasons like wage verification or audits are receiving their stimulus checks. So the systems knows to release some 570s and not others ??? How is ours any different from theirs? Especially the people that don’t owe them for past years. So frustrating!
-
May 7, 2020 at 8:58 am #4431090Shannon lee
We will not get stimulus payment til holds are lifted and they are aware. My TA told me this. She said office opens may 11th. It’s total bullshit I am down to zero dollars. No food nothing. Then can’t even get ahold of unemployment either.
-
May 7, 2020 at 2:38 am #4431064
I havent received my stimulus either. I figured it was because of the cp63 hold. I’m working with my congressman’s office to get mine lifted so hopefully they can expedite the process for me and give y’all some hope.

We have to take action. If we are in a state of emergency why are they holding our funds as if we dont need our money thru this economic hardship. It’s really taking a toll on us and our families. How hard is it to subtract what we owe and release our funds. 6-12 weeks is bullshit. Thankful for the stimulus now take what I owe and put it back :p I’m tired of waiting uncle Sam. I’ve been too nice about this
-
May 7, 2020 at 12:18 am #4431057Sophia
Has anyone received the stimulus payment? My 2019 taxes are still processing, because I received a cp63 letter stating I didn’t file 2014! I mailed them on 3/10 and still no update 🙄

I received my CP63 letter that was dated 02/24/2020. I filed my 2018 taxes right away. But my 2019 refund not my stimulus payments have been deposited or updated on the online system. Can’t get a live representative to ask about it. Offices are closed. Haven’t gotten any more mail from IRS. Getting extremely frustrated.
Help?!?!?

So I got upset and sent an email to my congressman on Friday they said they will look at it since I didn’t owe taxes for 2017 or 2019 . I told them I never ever owe the irs never had an issue . So no they owe me 2017, 2019 and my stimulus . So we will see how long it takes 🤷🏻♀️

Can anyone give me the number to Congress to get them to release my refunds and the steps I need to take? I’m 8 weeks away from having a baby and we desperately need these funds. I got the cp63 at the end of February, sent in my 2018 taxes and they were received by the IRS March 24th. They owe me for 2018 and 2019 and I still havent gotten my stimulus check. I’ve received state refunds for both years, but no federal. Help!!!

She said she didn’t really know for sure. But said most likely we all got kicked out into group and once they see it they should fix it. Then I had this guy on igmr Facebook say they can’t hold stimulus and that they couldn’t send out everyone’s who input info on 4/15 but how is it no cp63 people got stimulus.

My preparer uses taxslayer pro. On their website it states starting January 2020, you can e-file 2019, 2018, and 2017 tax returns :) So, yes it can be done.

I filed both and both were accepted by IRS immediately today! I went through a preparer here in town the IRS lists on their website as able to file past returns :)

@shelley
I agree everybody seems to have gotten theirs but us. It makes no sense our 2019 is processed enough we could enter it in the portal if it wasn’t should have showed status as unavailable. Then the fact we filed 2018. It makes absolutely no sense!! Then can’t even get anyOne from the IRS on the phone. I filed January 28th. I’m so fed up with all this!!! -
April 29, 2020 at 8:48 am #4427937Shelley
The craziest thing about all this.. there are people who haven’t filed for years because they knew they’d get nothing back or it would be taken.. now, because they want the stimulus.. they’re filing, AND ITS WORKING, because they lifted all these reasons for holds AFTER Coronavirus – so Because we all tried to fix this before Coronavirus, we got screwed . I honestly think we’ve just been forgotten about.

diagnosed with Lupus barely worked. IRS stated I did not need to file my 2018 then just 2017 as my bf supported my kids and I through 2018, he did not use them as a tax deduction either. Paper filed IRS recieved in PO box week of IRS shut down.nothing was ever secured. Talked to collections at IRS yesterday, she said the system says I am still liable for 2018 tho IRS said I wasn’t.her suggestion was to pay up front to e-file, so tomorrow Im efiling both years returns.

April 29, 2020 at 2:23 am #4427553
I filed on 02/17/2020. After a week, my bars disappeared on WMR so I called IRS. They stated I needed to file 2017 and 2018 taxes and my 2019 refund was being held. Asked why I didn’t file. 2017, my student loans in default, after researching, my return was rejected the whole time. I did not check up on it as I assumed it went to dept of ed. Turns out it was rejected from the beginning. OOPS!

Shelly I brought that up to IRS and they said they were waiting for release codes from Congress lies. I also informed my congressman on their rules for lifting holds and how they are breaking laws. You can call President @202-456-1111. We all need to put pressure on government

So I was just reviewing the laws on the irs website – under processing refund hold program, which is the Department for Texas address on our CP63 notices. It states that the refund can be released if the tax payer is in a declared disaster/emergency area. I don’t know about you all but Michigan is absolutely in a state of emergency. The issue is you can’t even speak to someone from this department to speak to them.

I don’t know… but I don’t think it could be any more obvious that none of us are getting stimulus until this is resolved. It’s not coincidence that no one is getting a date. And I know it has nothing to do with taxes because again, mine changed and my return hasn’t even been secured, they don’t have it yet
-
April 26, 2020 at 3:05 pm #4426120Shelley
Let’s hope you’re right, but I am dooooone thinking positive about any of it, and I feel confident we will not get a stimulus until this situation is cleared up

I believe if 2019 has been processed then stimulus is on its way. They just used the info from 2019. Compliance is different from the stimulus payment. We should either get a check or dd. Don’t lose your patience and everything will be fine. I’m in the same boat but I locked myself out so who knows I may updated. Hope we get dd soon tho

April 26, 2020 at 9:09 am #4425897
That could be. It’s just weird that 2015 went to 5/11 and then back to 3/30 on Friday and then did the same thing Saturday. But my 2019 still has 5/11. If they looked at it and couldn’t do anything, why didn’t they switch it back to 3/9 as they’ve done in the past?
-
April 26, 2020 at 8:55 am #4425884Shelley
I think nothing will happen until the Texas office that handles back taxes opens, which is still closed right now. Once they open I think y’all will see your tax returns start processing again.
Mine has not even been secured, so I likely will have to wait much longer.
Only then, once all the tax issues are handled will we all get stimulus’
-
April 26, 2020 at 8:55 am #4425882Shelley
I feel confident that the 5/11 is when they looked into people who updated their bank info on WMP. Ours just was denied, because of the freeze.

No update. I agree about the freeze. I knew nothing would update for me when many others starting seeing 2020 account balance info and transcript dates that changed from 5/11 to 5/18. They all have 4/30 ddd.
My 2019 still has 5/11 though so maybe the return is processing again.

April 25, 2020 at 9:28 am #4424354Bridget12
Ok I am not the only one . They needed my 2017 taxes which I sent them once in mail and they never received it . So fax it and still couldn’t find it . Now I can’t get touch with anyone to get this going . Now theY owe me 2017 refund and 2019 . I don’t owe just forgot file in 2017 because I was in a car wreck . Now my stimulus check hasn’t come in . Went online it says I was eligible and just needed direct deposit information. So I did but never got a direct deposit date .
-
April 24, 2020 at 1:51 pm #4423148
@Shelley: It’s possible that your stimulus is coming too since your as of date changed on your 2019. They have your 2019 so they have the info they need to process your stimulus. Your 2017 hasn’t changed because they haven’t received it but they aren’t going off your 2017 for stimulus anyway.
There has to be a reason why a ton of ppl updated today to 5/11. And none of them have received their stimulus but many of them have already received their tax refund.
-
April 24, 2020 at 1:48 pm #4423143
Yeah so none of the codes changed on my transcripts either but the dates changed. Hopefully this means they have put both back into processing. My 2015 has been secured since 3/5 and it was faxed so maybe they can receive and process faxed forms electronically and there is no need for the actual paper return.
-
April 24, 2020 at 1:28 pm #4423125Llamafoot
As of date changed to 5-11 on 2015 ansmd 2019. My 2015 code says its secured. 2019 still says notice issued from original cp63
-
April 24, 2020 at 1:07 pm #4423095
@llamafoot: did they change to 5/11? Ppl are saying that if you count 12 days back like you normally would for tax refund that give us 4/29 which could be a deposit date because Weds are normally when refunds hit accounts. Is your past tax return recorded as secured? I’m thinking this is stimulus because if it was tax refund we would have the 846 code.
-
April 24, 2020 at 1:06 pm #4423092Shannon lee
What number did you call to get someone at irs? I knew something shady was going to happen with are stimulus checks too. Nothing can pass thru our ssn the IRS needs to handle this NOW.
-
April 24, 2020 at 1:03 pm #4423087
My fiance’s transcript changed to 4/27 when he received his stimulus. His account balance also lists 2020. The stimulus payments are being reflected on the transcripts. If you go to the regular forum there are many people who have already received their taxes and their as of date changed to reflect their stimulus. I don’t think it’s Just a coincidence that transcripts are updated and the following week payment is received.

Hate to burst your bubble but my as of date (on just my 2019, they don’t have my 17 apparently ) is also May 11 and I JUST spoke with the irs – they don’t have my 17, and my stimulus is not processed
-
April 24, 2020 at 11:09 am #4422958
As of date changed to May 11 today on both 2019 and 2015 transcripts. Idk if this is for the tax refund or stimulus but many others waiting for stimulus have updated to 5/11 date as well. Crossing my fingers that both are moving. Also hoping that the date doesn’t change back like it did before.

Talked to someone today.. I mailed mine March 2 and they still don’t even have it. She said our stimulus shouldn’t be being held but that it appears that they are being held as they aren’t being processed. I literally am at a loss for what to do. It’s April 24 and I mailed it March 2. I even called In the middle of March and he said “just in case, go ahead and fax it to me that way I get it right away .. BUT THEY DONT HAVE IT. Not even secured. I don’t know what to do

April 22, 2020 at 11:01 am #4420516LArtis89
Yup mines the same, I called the payment part of the irs and they told me my 2016 is in the system but it’s not far enough along for the computer to take over processing. She confirmed it started being entered on 3/17. I sent it 2/27. So I’m literally stuck until they open the irs back up. Tx Is supposed to open on the 1st, right?
She did say that I should still get my stimulus regardless if my return is pending.
-
April 22, 2020 at 10:16 am #4420444Allycatya1993
NM she called back it was just my tax advocate telling me my 2016 hasn’t budged. Still stuck at return being secured 2-26. She also said my 2019 is processed and just waiting to be released but the irs will not budge until 2016 is paid and the office I sent my 2016 return to is in Dallas tax. She thinks they are closed. As far as stimulus she said I should have received my stimulus because my 2019 again was processed back in Feb.

Hey Everyone!!
I have viewed the situations that you are all going through including myself. I wanted to share the post office had my 2016 paper return in queue since April 1st. Not overjoyed about it because I’m jade towards this process but, relieved that it was delivered. I needed 2016&2017 it was messed up info when I 1st received the info over the phone. Oh the whip cream for 2017 I have to idverify because I didn’t file ippin silly me lol. Happy Taxes!!

They are all liars at irs. By this rate we will already be filing our next tax returns. If you don’t owe for prior years they need to release funds.
-
April 20, 2020 at 8:56 pm #4418680
I got ahold of someone at the IRS today by the number that bnicole provided to ask about the return. He said they received my 2017 on march 22. Since it is a limited amount of people processing returns it will take longer then it should have. Then I asked about the stimulus and us being held and he said it “SHOULD” still come to us. SO maybe by April 22 we will get it.
-
April 20, 2020 at 4:34 pm #4418335Shelley
I’m also wondering how they can mail stimulus checks but not accept mailed tax returns
-
April 20, 2020 at 1:57 pm #4418194
Stacey does your IRS account show that they have already received and processed your 2017 taxes? I received a CP63 on 03/08 mailed my 2016 return on 3/11 and my account has not been updated. It still shows that I need to file 2016 but my 2019 balance went from having my refund credit on it to being zero. Just trying to figure out if that means they are processing my refund.
-
April 20, 2020 at 12:41 pm #4418113Shelley
That’s where I’m at, I hate always being the pessimist but there’s a reason we’re not getting a date. We’re eligible but they won’t release it til after we get our refunds likely. I’m laid off and so f-ing mad I can’t get A small part of the 8 GRAND I paid into taxes.

Mine just says will update when available, I have no faith in the irs, if the system isn’t moving- there’s a reason
-
April 19, 2020 at 6:01 pm #4417447Shelley
Yeah no I know, I don’t think it has anything to do with being processed or not I don’t think they’ll release them because we are considered non filers for years prior to 2018.

Stacey did WMR ever update for you or was it stuck on being processed. I sent in my missing returns same day as you and I also don’t owe them they owe me, but I have been stuck on being processed. No stimulus either had to enter DD info. They are causing all this suffering and grief on people and all they have to do is enter release code. It’s just wrong I’ve never ever owed federal taxes since I’ve worked and now they hold it because it’s a large refund. I’m so over this.

Unfounded worry my ass. I had to enter my DD info wed on portal even though they have it already. It’s been six weeks now since my return was sent. The worst being I don’t even owe them a dime and now I have to wait even longer for refund and stimulus. They are holding thousands it’s ridiculous.

I spoke with the collections department- I don’t owe the IRS a dime according to him (which I already knew), but couldn’t tell me any information about my current return. Only thy he can see that when I filed my 2017 I don’t owe a balance.
I called 18008293903- when it asked for my ssn I ignored it, twice, then it prompted me to enter a number for my call, I pressed 4 and waited on hold about 10 minutes.
Hope this helps someone else!

But he said he is going to do everything in his power to get answers. It’s an option for everyone since the tax advocate offices are closed as well as the IRS.
Also- is anyone locked out of the where’s my payment portal? I put in my bank info and ever since I have not been able to get back on. Frustrating
-
April 15, 2020 at 3:27 pm #4410382Shelley
So mine was the same also, I was able to enter my bank info.. but I’m not exactly hopeful. I got my return just fine last year, and had the same bank account. Not only that but they’ve processed our 2019 returns. There is a reason not one of us received our stimulus payments.
I didn’t even know I needed to file for 2017. I explained that to them in a letter I sent with my return and apologized (not that they give a shit)
-
April 15, 2020 at 2:47 pm #4410242Allycatya1993
Shelley mine still can’t be found on wmr. I will NEVER not file again. All this for not filing 2016. This has been a nightmare. But I’m the same as csgraves. I did get to update my banking for stimulus so hoping that by next week we at least have that. Hopefully we all are able to get stimulus soon while waiting on our refunds.
-
April 15, 2020 at 1:12 pm #4409891M
Wmr is also saying that my info doesn’t match. It’s been doing it all morning
-
April 15, 2020 at 12:23 pm #4409704
Well here is an update for the stimulus for myself.
You are eligible for the payment. Once we have your payment date, we will update this page.
We will deposit your payment to the bank account below.
Bank Account Number: ************
At least I know I will get that payment soon at least. Not sure when the irs will release the actual tax refund though.
-
April 15, 2020 at 11:34 am #4409532Shelley
Allycat mine did that for about a day now it’s back to still being processed. On my transcript it shows nothing about my 2017. Says they don’t have it still basically. Which is insane, mailed AND faxed it because the irs told me after I mailed it that I should fax it
-
April 15, 2020 at 10:55 am #4409364Allycatya1993
2016 return I meant
-
April 15, 2020 at 10:54 am #4409361Allycatya1993
It’s been 7 weeks today since they received my 2019 return and now where’s my refund doesn’t recognize my information.
-
April 15, 2020 at 10:34 am #4409278Monica
I notice that ppl that received this letter are having to enter dd info on new site… entered mine today so now another wait …
-
April 15, 2020 at 8:38 am #4408745LArtis89
Checked my stimulus today and it asked my to enter my bank info 2018 was deposited no problem, this year haven’t received taxes but my bank info is correct. Curious why I had to enter it if they had it correct on my taxes. Another delayed payment. 🤷🏽♀️ By this time I’m a expert at waiting 🤦🏽♀️
-
April 15, 2020 at 8:38 am #4408741LArtis89
Filed early with Turbo, accepted on 1/27. Called 2/25 they said I have a cp63 for not filing in 2016. Sent 2016 off on 2/27. Called back mid March they received my 2016 1040 and the representative told me to call back at the end of April if I didn’t have my refund 🙃 tomorrow will make 8 weeks waiting. They say 6-12?
-
April 15, 2020 at 8:13 am #4408614Allycatya1993
Just says can’t find my info which I find strange
-
April 15, 2020 at 8:13 am #4408608Allycatya1993
Same here just put in my checking information to the irs portal. Is anyone else having issues on where my refund? It will not bring me up anymore ☺️
-
April 15, 2020 at 7:50 am #4408515Shelley
Yep, same. I never tried 2018 I just did 2019 and put what I would have received since Right now it is a credit to my irs account. Hopefully this doesn’t take forever
-
April 15, 2020 at 6:44 am #4408252
Yup not unfounded. Went on to the portal and it did not have enough info to process the stimulus. It asked to enter info for 2018 if 2019 was not processed. I entered 2018 but the system said it did not match. I tried 2019 info and it worked. Was able to update my checking info. Just weird that if 2019 “processed” why they didn’t have my checking account info….???? Now we wait for stimulus.
-
April 15, 2020 at 6:08 am #4408091Shelley
Trust me I know. I’m laid off, I owe a little for 2017 but still am owed a lot for 2019. They won’t process any of it until everything opens back up.. and now we’re not even going to get our stimilus checks. People thought that because they’re not taking it from people who owe back taxes that we would still get them… nope.
-
April 15, 2020 at 5:57 am #4408055M
@shelley
I didn’t receive mine. I’m in the same boat had to file back taxes for 2016 . Filed for 2019 January 28th. I’m actually due a refund for 2016 and 2019. Since they aren’t processing paper returns it’s extremely frustrating. No refund and no stimulus! -
April 15, 2020 at 5:23 am #4407959Shelley
Anyone get it? Doesn’t seem unfounded now. Tons and tons of people received it this morning, I however did not get my stimulus
-
April 14, 2020 at 4:56 am #4404542Shannon lee
I wish there was something we could do to get our refunds released. It even says on irs website that they are lightning up on rules. I haven’t received stimulus check either and now I’m worried. I see all these people on I got my refund Facebook post that starting getting them on Friday the 10th. It’s so frustrating to be owed thousands especially with everything going on.
-
April 13, 2020 at 6:20 pm #4403922Llamafoot
No stimulus and no return update for me. My fiancee received her stimulus even though shes still under review still
-
April 13, 2020 at 5:29 pm #4403861
These fears are likely unfounded. Even if your 2019 return is being held up, you’ll still get your economic impact payment. There are some here on IGMR who’ve already reported receiving an EIP while still having their return on 60-day review.
-
April 13, 2020 at 5:27 pm #4403852Bnicole
I’ve seen that too! Also people who are currently being audited.
This is just one giant headache 🙄
-
April 13, 2020 at 5:23 pm #4403835
No stimulus for me. My fiancé received his Friday night but he had a simple return that was processed and refunded in February. Seems like we are on hold with our refund and stimulus. But there have been others that said they received stimulus even though their 2019 is still in review….
-
April 13, 2020 at 2:41 pm #4403535Stacey
Llamafoot keep us updated …good luck. We havent received our stimulus yet either! 😭
-
April 13, 2020 at 12:38 pm #4403346Allycatya1993
I would think they would just go off of our 2018 returns! This is ridiculous!
-
April 13, 2020 at 11:07 am #4403211Shelley
Sounds like we’re not getting them. Which is absolutely insane
-
April 13, 2020 at 9:07 am #4403057Allycatya1993
Anyone received their stimulus at least? I’m in illinois and a lot of people on my city got theirs last friday. Nothing for me. I’m so mad. No refund and no stimulus and I’m not working because of this virus mess. Can’t go back until the 30th
-
April 13, 2020 at 8:12 am #4403014Shelley
So you all are saying that if our taxes are being held because of this we won’t get our stimulus until all this is over also? This is honestly insane.
-
April 11, 2020 at 2:34 pm #4402126Bnicole
Y’all are lucky, my birthday is the 15th. Quarantined and refundless 😂😂
-
April 11, 2020 at 11:52 am #4402044
@ProudFatherOF1 been stuck on is being processed since the PATH message lifted. Never changed to still being processed which I thought not switching was a good thing. Guess I will get mine on my Dec bday as well lol
-
April 11, 2020 at 11:23 am #4402018ProudFatherOF1
@sns6712 I know what you mean I F/A 2/21 lost bars a week later. Now I can’t get unemployment been stuck on we received your tax return and it is being processed since 3/18. I’m sure I’ll get my refund and stimulus when my birthday comes in December
-
April 11, 2020 at 11:17 am #4402012
Since they can’t process paper returns and our electronic returns are held up because we were required to file a paper return, they should release our 2019. If we owe they can bill us later. For those that are due a refund from a previous return, I’m sure at this point would be happy to just receive their 2019. I think this is completely ridiculous!
-
April 11, 2020 at 8:39 am #4401860Monica
I just read on the irs website that they are not processing paper returns at this time due to corona. I think is most likely why there has been no movement assume we wont see and movement until things are back to normal.
-
April 11, 2020 at 7:23 am #4401839Bnicole
They shouldn’t as long as you’ve filed the last two years.
-
April 11, 2020 at 6:42 am #4401824Shelley
If we are obviously having trouble with this, does anyone know if they’ll also hold our stimulus checks? I’ve had zero movement, haven’t even received proof that they got my 2017 return..2019 still being held. Will this affect getting my stimulus check?
-
April 10, 2020 at 6:31 pm #4401426
So transcript moved to 3/30 today but just checked and it went back to 3/9. No clue what is going on!
-
April 10, 2020 at 12:41 pm #4401104
Maybe the dates aligning is a good thing.
-
April 10, 2020 at 11:23 am #4401045Llamafoot
My 2019, 2018 and 2015(the one I didnt file) all changed to “as of 4-13-20
-
April 10, 2020 at 9:41 am #4400971
2019 transcript updated today with as of date of 3/30 which has already passed. I don’t understand what’s going on. But both transcripts now have the same as of date.
-
April 8, 2020 at 8:30 pm #4400485Allycatya1993
No movement on my end. I’ve given up and just assuming I’ll never get it
-
April 8, 2020 at 7:37 pm #4400479Llamafoot
Not sure if they are or not. The last update I had was on march 21st. I could only see that on my transcripts. It was labeled as secured.
-
April 8, 2020 at 7:23 pm #4400475Stacey
We filed Jan 30th accepted February 1st received a cp63 on 3/8 and mailed in missing return on 3/12. We havent heard anything about our return being released yet. We are about ready to lose our butts! Really would be great to have that return. Does anyone know if they are even processing the cp63 letters right now?
-
April 8, 2020 at 2:16 pm #4400419Bnicole
No movement here, pretty sure I’m just SOL until May or June at this rate
-
April 8, 2020 at 2:03 pm #4400411Amanda
I received a cp63 notice back in February got my 2016 taxes done and they ended up blowing me more money lsent those back in on the beginning of March and haven’t heard anything which is funny because I had direct deposit and you would think since they owed me more money and not less that they would just release my refund for 2019. does anybody know if they are still processing the cp63 notices or the people that had them? With all this virus stuff going on?
-
April 8, 2020 at 1:24 pm #4400400Llamafoot
No new updates on my end. Anyone have anything?
-
April 4, 2020 at 7:37 am #4399508Shelley
Good luck. The irs offices are closed so you can not reach anyone. Can’t reach national tax advocates and As for my state, The TA office is closed so you cannot reach anyone there either. I don’t think anything will happen with mine until this is over. It’s been 2 months since I sent my old return. Nothing on my transcript at all.
-
April 3, 2020 at 4:16 pm #4399370Bnicole
If I don’t see any movement this weekend, I’m definitely reaching out. Especially because I don’t owe for the missing year that I filed.
-
April 3, 2020 at 1:50 pm #4399333Allycatya1993
Update, I spoke with my TA and same thing she can’t do anything until 2016 is processed and it’s been 5 weeks. Reached out to local senator today and they are working with someone at the Irs to get mine processed. Maybe try reaching out to local senator. He responded within two hours
-
April 1, 2020 at 11:58 am #4398810Allycatya1993
I have a TA but she couldn’t do anything for me. She said that my 2019 is just sitting waiting to be released. Today is the 5th week since my 2016 started processing and still no movement. Until the 2016 is processed and what I owe is taken, I won’t see my money.
-
April 1, 2020 at 11:26 am #4398803Bnicole
Has anyone reached out to a TA?
-
April 1, 2020 at 8:12 am #4398766Shelley
It tells me telephone assistance is not available. I’m literally at a loss. It’s been 8 weeks since mailing my old return and mine hasn’t moved
-
March 31, 2020 at 9:13 am #4398400Bnicole
I called 18008290922- I waited on hold nearly an hour before I got through though.
-
March 30, 2020 at 10:32 am #4398370Shelley
I mailed mine 5 weeks ago, 2 weeks later I called to see if the received it and the guy asked me to fax it, so I got a copy and did that.. now it’s been another 4 weeks and it’s not even showing secured on my transcript. I saw someone say they spoke to someone on 3/26, how? I can’t get through to anyone with it being shut down. This is insane.
-
March 28, 2020 at 1:10 am #4397859
I am not sure if this means anything or not,but since Feb 12th I have had no bars on WMR and then as recent as Monday the 23rd the bars came back with the same We have received your return and it is being processed message.
-
March 27, 2020 at 3:30 pm #4397699
Mine says return secured 3/5 and I have been stuck with a 3/30 as of date since then. No updates and they say paper returns can take up to 6 weeks to process and that’s without this Coronavirus mess…
Someone on here has a secured date earlier than mine. I say when they update is when we will all start to see updates.
-
March 27, 2020 at 1:22 pm #4397657Llamafoot
Checked my transcripts today and it says 599 code “tax return secured” on 3-21 for my 2015. No changes to my 2019. Not sure what that means
-
March 27, 2020 at 10:57 am #4397592
Three weeks since they secured my 2015 return and still no movement…
-
March 27, 2020 at 6:43 am #4397495LArtis89
Week four here.. no updates on my end either. Just told to wait and call back at the end of April 😑
-
March 26, 2020 at 6:42 pm #4397376Bnicole
I called today, sat on hold for 45 minutes just to be told “well wait it out three more weeks”. 🙄 I don’t owe for 2017! Give me my money!
-
March 26, 2020 at 6:07 pm #4397372Llamafoot
No update for me either, it’s been 23 days since they received my 2015 1040
-
March 26, 2020 at 11:48 am #4397291Allycatya1993
No update here. Been 4 weeks since they’ve had my return
-
March 26, 2020 at 10:31 am #4397277Shelley
Anyone have any updates? The office that handles back taxes is closed, so I have a good feeling we will have no movement at all. I mailed my 2017 return 3/4… kept calling just to see if it was received, someone finally said I could try faxing and it may be faster, said it wouldn’t interfere if they had the mailed one.
Haven’t seen any movement at all on my transcripts to even note that they have it or that it has been processed
-
March 24, 2020 at 2:15 pm #4396756Allycatya1993
Tomorrow will be four weeks since they received my 2016 return. 2/26 got 599 code on 2016 return saying it was secured. No movement since. Spoke with tax advocate and she said there is literally nothing she can do the system has to process it.
-
March 23, 2020 at 11:22 am #4396578
Today is week 3 of waiting on an update and still no update. When you call the number on the cp63 letter you will get some bad news. that the call center office is closed. So you will not be able to get any updated info.
It does say they are still processing returns. We are just unable to call to check on them.
-
March 21, 2020 at 9:13 am #4396235Bnicole

March 19, 2020 at 1:25 pm #4395638Allycatya1993
Same here, my 2016 still isn’t showing up.
https://www.efile.com/tax-penalties/
This is a calculator thats pretty accurate for penalties and interest. My refund should be 5083 but penalties and interest from 3 years ago I’ll owe over 3200 which stinks but it’s my fault for not filing -
March 19, 2020 at 12:57 pm #4395629Llamafoot
Called irs yesterday. My 2015 still isnt showing in their system. The lady reminded me it takes up to 6 weeks to show up in their system once received. She also informed me that the penalty is 5% per month. 😒
-
March 18, 2020 at 4:50 pm #4395318Shannon lee
Also guy at tax office said to put cover letter with return or write on envelope if your getting refund or owe it will speed up sorting process. I knew I should have done that and I forgot. Also make sure to sign and date alot of people forget too. He said once they see and determine refund owed they will release hold. He said they don’t wait for processing to be completed. Hope this info helps.
-
March 18, 2020 at 2:54 am #4395090Shannon lee
Oh do not send cp59 if you already replied to co63 she said it will make things take longer.
-
March 18, 2020 at 2:52 am #4395088Shannon lee
I’m in the same boat funny thing is tax person told me they are holding it specifically because I get so much more back this year than past five years I missed two years which I was due a refund anyway didn’t think if you didn’t owe you didn’t have to file. Now I know that’s true unless you get a big refund.
-
March 17, 2020 at 2:16 pm #4394888Allycatya1993
Oh wow my wmr still is stuck on your refund is being processed. My 2016 transcript has code 599 saying tax return secured on 2/26 and I haven’t had any movement since then. I’m praying that this covid-19 doesn’t interfere with us getting our money but I think it will sadly. My 2019 is just waiting to be released
-
March 17, 2020 at 11:45 am #4394858JojoW
Return received 1/27
CP63 notice 2/21
Mailed 2017 taxes same day over nighted
IRS received taxes 2/22
Nothing for a real long time.
Called tax advocate 3/11
On 3/12 the status bar on WMR came back.
Tax advocate called on 3/16
She told me she put a note on file and will call back in 3 weeks. Which is not okay with me and will be calling again tomorrow to further speak to her. -
March 14, 2020 at 5:28 pm #4393810Llamafoot
No news from my end either. Still waiting

March 13, 2020 at 7:42 am #4392961
Filed mid January and noticed 2015 transcript had non file code. Sent off 2015 return before receiving cp63 letter on 2/12. Received cp63 letter on 2/24 and faxed the return on 2/25. My as of date kept pushing out on 2019 transcript but 2015 transcript stuck on 2/24. 2015 transcript updated to 3/30 as of date on today with a 599 code for return secured as of 3/5. 2019 transcript now stuck on 3/9 as of date. No update as of yet on 2019 but at least I know they received 2015.
-
March 12, 2020 at 8:16 pm #4392755LArtis89
I filed 1/27, accepted 1/28, got path notice around 2/10, called 2/25 and told I had cp63 for not filing 2016. I filled the next day and sent it off on 2/26.
Two weeks and waiting for far since I’ve mailed it off.
-
March 11, 2020 at 3:48 pm #4392243Willcab
Hey everyone!! The funny thing is the IRS is supposed to send these letters out before the next tax year. In November I believe. I recieved the 59 first then the 63 smh. I got my unfiled return in before I received either of the letters. Hoping for the end of march as well.
-
March 11, 2020 at 2:35 pm #4392231
@Llamafoot. I have an almost identical situation as yours. I received the cp63 notice on 2-29 though sent 2 day mail the same day they received the 2017 return on 3-2 and then i received a cp59 notice on 3-7 as well. I would guess we will also update to a ddd at the same time as well. Here’s to hoping for the end of march :)
-
March 10, 2020 at 1:16 pm #4391579Allycatya1993
My refund originally was supposed to be $5083 but with not filing 2016 with the penalties and interest I will probably get back $1300 😫
-
March 10, 2020 at 1:15 pm #4391577Allycatya1993
So it’ll probably be the end of March or first week of April before we get our refunds. This stinks lol
-
March 9, 2020 at 8:13 pm #4391222Llamafoot
I called irs today and the rep told me to allow 4 weeks for processing. Even though they received my 1040 on 3-3, nothing has been processed yet so nothing is showing up on their computer. She also told me to disregard the cp59 notice since I replied to the cp63. Judging from previous posts on this site throughout the years the whole process takes 4-6 weeks. Hope this helps
-
March 9, 2020 at 7:10 pm #4391206Allycatya1993
Anyone with any updates on cp63?
1/17 filed 2019 return
1/21 return accepted
2/10 received cp63
2/14 2016 was faxed to irs
2/26 was told Irs processed returnNow I haven’t receive anything else and every time I call I’ve been told it could take 8 weeks, 12 weeks, or 3 weeks. Also waiting for transcript in mail to see if they’ve updated. Really need this refund this year.
-
March 9, 2020 at 11:15 am #4390926Bnicole
Received CP63 letter Friday 3/6- mailed off 2017 1040 Saturday via two day express shipping. IRS received them this morning…now I just hurry up and wait 🙄
-
March 7, 2020 at 3:40 pm #4390299Llamafoot
Received cp59 notice today requesting 1040 form. Its dated 3-2 which is a day before they received my 2015 taxes. Wonder if I should fill it out still?
-
March 5, 2020 at 1:40 am #4388950Willcab
Yea they cant tell you anything. We have to process. Relax the end of march we will see movement. Maybe even sooner for the release. Its systematically done. Once our prior year returns are finish the release automatically happens. Paper returns takes up to 6 weeks for refund to be issued. We will definitely see movement by the end of March.
-
March 4, 2020 at 7:15 pm #4388844Llamafoot
IRS received returns on 3-3. Called irs rep and she told me itll take up to 4 weeks to show up in their system. With this timeline it looks like itll be may/June before it’s all finished
-
March 4, 2020 at 5:03 am #4388425Willcab
I’m in the same boat haven’t recieved the notice but I called and the rep told me I had unfiled tax returns but 2017 was required. USPS delivered return on 03/02/20.
2wks/four weeks idk. But hopefully not long. Will keep you updated.
