Code 570 post here

I know 570 is a hold but for what? First I was told I didnt turn in a small w2 from last year, then I was told that wasnt the case that it was a random review. The amount was small on the w2 (800$) so they shouldnt hold my refund because its small enough I wouldnt owe them, yet here I am under review. First lady said amend, second irs person said DONT and set me up with a TA who was supposed to call me within 24 hrs. Think they did? NOPE😭😭

Yup, if your going to do anything a TA is the way to go. The people you talk to when you call in don’t have access beyond generalities and the same codes you do that they all interpret different

A TA has access to decision makers.

Be diligent with getting an tax advocate. Tell them you need your refund for upcoming bills. This happened to me last year, they held my refund for wage verification code 570. Waiting on the irs took the most time. My tax advocate processed my return and lifted the 570 code after I sent her my w2.(same day) I didn’t get my refund until April. But if I had gotten an tax advocate sooner I would have had my money sooner!
