all my codes & amount are correct & good!! but my last code is 570 on my transcript with date of 2/24/2020 & amount of 0.00
Yesterday morning i woke up with the path act message & topic 152! anyone know why would i have 570 code ? is it because EIC? or something else??

I’ve had 570 on my transcripts with no update since late Feb (Filed 2/10, accepted 2/10). No letter. Called 3 weeks ago and the lady said she has no idea why there’s a code 570, can only assume it’s a 60 day review and there was nothing she could do. This is total bull. I called and left a message 3 weeks ago to get a TA after I talked to the lady at the IRS, no call back.

IRS said I missed a year a few years back filing, I immediately sent in because it was still on my computer.. my recent update date has passed with no news from the TA, and they said it could be a few more weeks, it’s been Over a month or so since, and the transcript from the missed year doesn’t reflect any changes yet. No news at all, just waiting around.. 🤯

@keffer8808: Matt, I think that’s the date IRS expects to be able to revisit your return. It (apparently) doesn’t necessarily mean the reason for the 570 TC will be resolved by then.

Probably the 4464c letter-same one I got. Doesn’t reveal any info other than you’re under review for 60 days while they verify income, credits, etc. BS is what it really is.

I think that’s similar to my cp05. Mine literally says they are reviewing my return and it could or could not take 60 days and don’t call unless it’s been 60 days. I’m kinda hopeful but leery lol. I think I’ve seen on here where other people have gotten their letters then gotten a release right behind it. I’ll keep updating.

They told me today that the letter was mailed today to me. In all around talk she said my return was processed, letter mailed today, disregard the letter if I get my refund…but also added the 45 day review can be 45 days after April 15. Very cryptic, but I believe I deciphered her message and feel hopeful.

I’m the opposite my husband’s have been recorded but mine haven’t, and yes I got an 846 today. Honestly I was told to disregard the SSA website it sometimes takes a while to be recorded on there. No clue why my husbands are recorded and mine arent…I’m curious how long after my 846 will it take to be recorded 🤔…I think I might check once a week to test it.

So SSA is still not showing your wages but you got a 846? My transcripts didn’t update last night so I’m stuck for another week. When I got to SSA my wages have been recorded but my husbands have not…. ugh!!!!

570 code could mean many things, basic things like they’re waiting for your wages to update, credits are being checked (baby was born), or you’ve ID verified (I did this). I spoke to a CPA friend that wouldn’t BS me. He said it could certainly mean something is coming, but for the most part your only concern should be you’re getting your refund later than normal.

I never received an letters or anything, this morning my transcripts have updated with 571 as of 3/2 and 846 with DDD 3/11. That 60 day review thing was just a stall tactic I think because they were so far behind on releasing funds.

Received a letter about creating an account. Then received a letter yesterday stating that they didn’t receive my 2017 tax return(which I know I did I have the 1040 and everything) I called yesterday and was told to submit my 1040 by 3/12 and it will be cleared. Submitted the 2017 yesterday through E-file. We shall see Today if it’s accepted and if any changes will be made.

As of today I can officially access my transcripts online. All the same codes and dates as you. My last code was 971 for 3/9. Same cycle code and everything. I had a 570 code last week and yesterday it showed it was resolved and I got a ddd. When I called last week they said I was under a 60 day review starting 2/20. The code next to the 570 was 2/24 and with the update it said it was resolved on 2/24.

We went through a 45 day and then 60 day review. Again with the 570 this year. Shows processing date of 3/9 .. and I know better. Guess it will be a summer refund again.

called again today since my 21 days was on Monday and was told I have 570 because they are doing a random review to make sure what was entered matches what the employer has reported and it could take 60 days and so far its only been 4 days since the review started .

I was told yesterday that the code 570 is for the credits you claimed they are looking over them more closely. And to check wmr daily and respond to any instructions mailed or posted to you promptly to make sure the process moves along. What I got out of this is that if no red flags show up during your review you will be processed for release after your processed date mine is 3/9…hoping for a refund by the end of March.

I got code 570 for 2018 and didn’t get my taxes back until July 2018. It is a hold on your taxes for various reasons, ours was due to our income not being reported by my husbands employer. They may correct themselves, however if you see code 570 don’t expect to get your taxes back at the same time as most others! Good luck, we have a 570 code again for 2019 and I already knows it’s because of my husbands employer.

I’ve never had code 570. It’s not the PATH issue. If you look at the history of this board. It’s a delay in the refund and they are reviewing the return. Most were fixed on its own and people got their refunds. If it’s still there after the 15th call the IRS.

570 is just a refund hold code, it does not indicate that you owe money somewhere. It very well could be because you are a pather, no way to know for sure. When you see a 898 code, then you owe money somewhere. If youve got the 571 and no 971 under it, it’s probably nothing to get too worried about.
