Anyone else have issues w a joint return?? We get an email from chime yesterday morning saying we had to send a copy of our joint return & a copy of photo IDs…which we did immediately & we have yet to get our deposit…we called back last night and they said within 24hrs…it’s all ridiculous bc it clearly says online for joint returns as long as the Chime account is in the primary Tax payers name so I dunno why they haven’t released it yet..

Thanks for everyone’s responses on here it really helped. I just checked my sbtpg (I didn’t know this was a thing until today) and it shows it has now been paid. I happened to wake up around 2:30 am and starting reading up on everything then found this thread. I found out because I used turbotax I have a sbtpg account so I checked it and it was showing it hadn’t been received yet. I checked again at 3:24 am not expecting a change but it has.

I have to go through republic bank for tax prep fees, but they are saying that they have not received IRS deposit. My ddd is 2/26. I think they have their own service where you can file through them. I don’t know if they charge a fee for that or not.

I used FreeTaxUSA…It’s free to file Federal…State is $12.95 though.

Your tax refund still has to be processed by the Federal Reserve Bank after the IRS sends it out. They use a system created in the 1970s, so it’s not the fastest. Typically it takes at least 2-3 business days for a tax refund to get from the IRS to the destination bank.
