    Just wondering

Just wondering if I will have a problem receiving refund over 10k? Will chime reject it or ask for verification ?

Btw, I think Chime deposit limit is exactly 10k. I think you’re safe. I know of someone who received 18k. ALL legitimately. However having been a victim of id theft fraud myself, I get it

Agreed. 10k is far from average. It isn’t small pocket change for the average American either. Yet, doesn’t immediately spell fraud. There are a few legal ways to get a legit large(r) refund back. One being paying more taxes throughout the yr, and educationl credits. Just a few combined will equal more in your return.

The average refund last year was $2,781. $10,000 is well beyond that.

@pikachu Not a CPA. Barely can get jobs out here being a CPA. I’m a state registered tax Preparer hopefully will pass my last Enrolled Agent test on Saturday.

Just because “you can’t do much with 10,000” doesn’t mean that’s a low refund. That’s a very odd statement to say and concerns me. A lot of people defraud the government and receive larger refunds from fraud. Or like I said you only make minimum wage with 6 kids.

                EITC has income limits.

@Sarah21 You can’t really do much with 10,000 dollars anymore.

                  Are you a CPA?

@pikachu you think 10,000 is a low refund. Ah wtf I’ve never heard of that. Unless you are making minimum wage with 6 kids I honestly don’t think 10,000 is low. I’m a Tax Preparer and 10,000 is not low

You’re welcome. Yes it was specifically on the tax refund page. I was stalking the site all day and came across it. I don’t know why when they can clearly see it’s a tax refund.

That’s on the low side for a refund so it should go through no problems.

They may ask for additional verification.

You can make a direct deposit of any amount into your Chime Spending Account; but deposits over $10,000 may require additional verification. We’ll send you an email and a push notification (if enabled on your mobile device) as soon as your deposit arrives!
