On turbo tax the section wants you to enter the $ amount from letter 6475. I had a child during that time and we did not receive the payment for her, but on turbo tax, it assumed calculated what it thought we received because I added a new dependant that was not on there for any of the economic reliefs(or eligible I don’t know). It assumed we received 8,400$, but the letters that came today stated we received 7,000$. I filed my taxes on January 27th. Do I need to amend that? I can see if I said I got too little but I put I got more than I received. Dropped my whole return down about 900$ or so. I don’t mind amending it for next year’s return, or whatever I have to do. I am fairly new to this. Any suggestions are welcome.

Do not amend the IRS will correct any stimulus or child tax credit error just delays your return some. Don’t amend.
