I am waiting for my unemployment refund however I checked my informed mail and saw a letter from irs for child tax credit. What is this?

  It’s just a generic letter saying you may be eligible for child tax credit payments and what to do if you want to opt out and wait until your next tax return to receive the refund. No specific info, same letter goes to everyone who may be eligible.

  A few of us are receiving correspondence from the IRS from Florence, KY so I thought maybe that’s what you were receiving as well. Must be something different.
