Chase processes the ACH before releasing funds. Most banks do. You have to have a bank account that specifically advances you money before a 3-day ACH hold is processed, which is them going out on a limb.
The way you can tell for any institution is if you have direct deposit and you get paychecks a day or two earlier than actual payday. Company sends ACH out on Tuesday for Friday payday. Bank says okay, funds are coming, here you are, or bank doesn’t say anything until ACH clears then you get deposit after the 3 days. The latter is how most banks operate, only a few services advance ACH.
I was able to call 48 hours before. I call the 1800…and they tell me if they were notified by the IRS of the funds or not
Chase bank will wait till DDD. They are a good bank though I left them for Navy Federal Credit Union. I wonder if they will release early. Just a waiting game this week.
yes! chase I got it the day of, not even overnight, was about 3 p.m Feb 22. I switched back to my AmexServe this year.
Well it was worth the try just have to wait till Friday
It states pending deposit on their screen and will also show pending deposit on your side.
You’ll get it on the day it states to be released.
The branch employees can only see what is on their screen, which is exactly what you can see via Chase.com and or your mobile app.
Telephone banking can possibly see more than the branch teams.
18009359935 is Chase telephone banking number.
@Harm how many days ahead of the scheduled date were you able to call?
Yes they are able to see pending dd’s.i have always called ahead during this time bc we had an incident of having the funds redirected back to the IRS due to one number being off on routing number
Will they tell you if they can see the deposit pending?
No, big banks like Chase, WF, Bank of America etc won’t make funds available till the DD
