Chapter 13 BK…I GIVE UP

Called IRS yesterday after waiting and waiting on movement. I filed 1/19 TT152 1 Bar. Able to order Account Transcript only.

First agent i spoke to said i was under review because of my chapter 13. DO WHAT?? We are 2 years into our plan and this is the first time I have heard this. He said all Chapter 13 BK’rs have to be manually reviewed- I call BS on that one.

Called back a second time. spoke with another agent and he said yes there is a BK code however I have not been pulled for manual review but I am delayed by 1 week.

It’s almost to the point where it’s humorous the different stories people are being told.

Giving it up for now. Just praying that we see movement soon. We are getting a large refund back so I’m not sure if that has something to do with it or not. I will tell you one thing….the Facebook page is NUTS!

@kk- no i didn’t know I was under review. I just called to check on the status of my refund and they told me that.

@Gina- right but it doesn’t have to manually reviewed, right? It’s never slowed me down before. In my agreement we get to keep the refund since it we are paying back 100% of our debts.

did you know you were under review before you called? I filed 1-26-15 and accepted the same day. I still dont have a DDD? last year was totally different.

I work for a BK law firm. What the first person told you is true. Generally, any BK will cause an error code in the system as they have to check and see if there is a BK offset. In other words, they need to make sure the $ goes to you and not the trustee’s office. It isn’t a big deal, but it does have to be checked.
