      So I had to file chapter 13 in June, I have tax debt included in the repayment. I filed and return was accepted on 1/28 via TT. I looked on account transcript and saw 971 notice issued 2/17/2020. Anyone ever have a similar situation? My attorney said they wouldn’t keep the refund. I’m just wondering why the notice is dated so far in advance, and whether anyone else has dealt with this same scenario. Thanks!

          Oh. Ok. Used to that now. Smh. Been such a hassle since my girls dad(hasn’t been around since 2010) tried claiming them two years ago. They keep trying to say I don’t qualify as head of household. I’m a single parent.

            Code 971 on your tax transcript means that your tax return is being reviewed and entered by a person. It is not a rejection.
