LISTEN UP, THE AMOUNT OF TIME ITS TAKING FOR US TO GET OUR STIMULUS PAYMENTS HAS NOTHIIIING TO DO WITH WHO WE FILED WITH! So y’all saying “I’m never using turbo tax, I’m never using JH” unless they entered your direct deposit info WRONG which didn’t happen or y’all wouldn’t have gotten your refunds, then this has NOTHIN to do with them! You’re getting your money from the IRS, from the treasury dept, the only things they’re looking at is if you got kids how much money you made and your direct deposit info, ALL THAT IS ALREADY AT THE IRS ON YOUR TAX RETURN YOUR TAX PREPARER HAS NOTHIN TO DO WITH IT. And for everyone freaking out “WE ARENT GETTING MONEY ON OUR TT CARD” CALM TF DOWN! They said BY the 15th, tons of agents have said YES WE WILL GET IT, but y’all just wanna listen to bad news and spread it around like you’re smearin crap on the wall. Chill. OUT. WE WILL ALL GET OUR MONEY, and if it’s NOT by the 15th, it’ll be shortly after you update your info! Don’t come at me saying I must not need the money because ima single mother of a three year old, I don’t got work rn, I need it more than a lot of y’all and I understand people that need it more than me! But WE DIDNT EVEN KNOW THIS WAS HAPPENING THIS SOON TILL WEEKS AGO! LETS BE HAPPY ABOUT IT!

@Jon… I agree. People who haven’t received their income tax returns for money earned that they are owed have a gripe. The Stimulus is money being given by the Feds… Not earned money. People who are waiting on their tax returns is what this entire site is supposed to be for. If you burned through your money already, who’s fault is that?

I agree. I said on here a week ago that we needed to be honest if we hadn’t gotten greedy (even if you needed the money badly) had we been patient with our refunds we’d already have money. It’s sad reading all the people acting like they earned this money and they’re owed like a paycheck. This is so ridiculous yes its frustrating not getting an update but this has never happened before. Get mad at the same government that is putting over a $1,200 in your pocket for nothing.

April 20, 2020 at 10:34 am #4417963Jamesp
Can you source where you’re getting your info? I entered all info in the portal Wednesday and am being told no DD date yet but I qualify. I’m hearing they start the next round of deposits next week not this week. Any info would be appreciated!
-
April 20, 2020 at 12:12 am #4417668Aaron
If it tells you that you will get a check it probably got kicked back from an inactive account already
-
April 19, 2020 at 8:51 pm #4417547
This is true @rico as I just read for myself not even a minute ago. Yet again, many of us have updated dd info on wed only to find were getting a paper check starting april 24th. So who’s lying? IRS or Treasury?
-
April 19, 2020 at 8:35 pm #4417537Rico
Though payments for eligible individuals have been made through direct deposit to bank accounts on file with the IRS, Mnuchin said they were still processing paper checks and hoping those still waiting will instead go online to collect their payments.
“The reason why the checks have not gone out is we’re hoping that more people, as I said, will go to IRS.gov,” Mnuchin said. “It’s much safer to send out direct deposits.”
From source!!!

If you uploaded your dd info on the portal by Thursday, you should receive your deposit by the 22nd, if you didn’t get into the portal until Friday you’ll have to wait until the following week. That’s from the IRS.

-
April 17, 2020 at 1:05 am #4413479
That’s what I’ve been trying to say. It has nothing to do with JH or serve.
Its How YOU filed and the path your refund had to follow to get into your acct. Unless you filed yourself , paid ALL fees upfront AND didn’t get an advance you need to update your DD info because the IRS has your preparers bank info or the bank that gave you an advance info
-
April 17, 2020 at 1:01 am #4413476shay
I just entered in my dd info into the irs portal. I’m using chime… any idea when i could receive it? I havent got a date yet just wanted to see if anyone could estimate a day
-
April 15, 2020 at 9:49 pm #4411314Issa
Why we have to enter information They already have? They sent me 2 months ago my tax return
-
April 15, 2020 at 10:54 am #4409360wycacher
So I received my refund via the TT Card with fees taken out. Turbo Tax released a statement saying that you do not need to do anything if your card is still active.
I just checked the IRS tool for tracking stimulus payment, and it said that it did not have any banking information on file for me, so I had to add it.
Just a heads up to people- check the IRS tool and get your info in if they need it. -

@Alx D And I haven’t told anybody what to ask and what not to ask. Instead I’m telling the people in here to let these people be however the hell they want to be. Why are you so big mad at something not said to or about you?
-
April 15, 2020 at 3:42 am #4407590

Get some sleep. Flipping out on a website of anonymous people is no better than the people fretting and stressing who you’re complaining about. Log off, and “calm down”.
-
April 14, 2020 at 2:02 am #4404681
@sarrabi, you’re quite right. You all are free to fret and stress yourselves out and turn a site with the URL ***I GOT my refund [dot] com*** into ***I’m SO SCARED I won’t get my… [dot] com***. And you can endeavor to win your argument as you stew in your anxiety and fear, and drive away those who are offering wisdom and knowledge that SHOULD be comforting.
“[The person] who fears has not been made perfect in love.” — 1 Jn. 4:18.

April 14, 2020 at 1:15 am #4404640
@Thicks I shouldn’t tell you how to contribute to this forum anymore than you should police how people use or don’t use this forum or how they should or shouldn’t feel while awaiting their stimulus payments.
And you can certainly share your opinion on how to best make use of this forum just as much as people can choose not follow your advice.
-
April 14, 2020 at 1:07 am #4404633
@sarrabi, you have a good night, too, but I don’t think you should tell me how to contribute to this forum.
Try to understand what I’m saying. People can find the help they’re looking for if they wouldn’t flood the forum with questions that have already been answered. To continue to do so will alienate the people who’ve been providing answers, and you’ll be left with just people with more unanswered questions.
And I’m coming from a point of experience on “how best to make use” of this forum.

April 14, 2020 at 1:00 am #4404628MRDL
@MagicalPotions.
When it affects your family you will feel different. I want to go back to work just like everyone else. I’m struggling myself. And sitting home everyday is awful but I’d rather struggle like this than see thousands more die . It’s the innocent ones it’s killing. What about your parents or grandparents. I’m not fortunate enough to have mine left but anyone who does should want to do the right thing! People need to take this seriously ! -

-
April 14, 2020 at 12:56 am #4404614
@sarrabi, the forum is designed to allow people to ask questions IF THEY CAN’T FIND THE ANSWER ALREADY PRESENT. That means they should actually search and look first.
There’s more to the site than the forum. The FAQs section is chock full of ready-made questions with answers.
If everyone posts questions in new threads, the threads that actually contain the very answers they’re seeking wind up getting buried pages back.

@ MRDL
Not to sound cold-hearted (although I know I sound exactly that), but we all have an expiration date. People die everyday from all kinds of things and speaking of sicknesses, influenza kills a pretty big number every single year. Overall with this corona issue though we are talking about a very small percentage who pass on. One percent? Two? Numbers are numbers and life is life.
-
April 14, 2020 at 12:38 am #4404584
@thicks Okay, I’m not arguing that. I’m simply saying let them be. Yes. There’s plenty of information but with the way this forum is set up, it becomes a chore sifting through all the topics and replies to find answers. A forum provides people the ability to simply ask for the answers they seek. It’s literally part of its intended purpose. The way you’re able to cope and handle this isn’t necessarily how others can or will cope.
-
April 14, 2020 at 12:38 am #4404582MRDL
Those of you who think this country needs to open back up are seriously insane. Thousands of people are dying everyday! This is no joke. If everyone would the what the governor’s are asking maybe we could get back to work and our lives but until this virus is under control they can’t do that! How would you feel if the country opened back up and you started losing the people you care about? Trust me it’s not a good feeling!!
-
April 14, 2020 at 12:30 am #4404575
@sarrabi, people could have LESS anxiety if they would actually read about the experiences people have already posted in this forum over the months. Yes, there are some who’ve had prolonged negative experiences, but the majority of people have eventually gotten their refund, and many have shared the steps they undertook to turn uncertainty into the refund due to them.
This site doesn’t really help anyone if they don’t actually read it but just come and start posting every panicky, desperate, fearful thought that pops into their head at the earliest opportunity. In many cases, the answer was already there waiting for them to find it.
“Seek, and you will find.”

Amen!! $1,200 ain’t really sh_t anyway if you look into it. That’s 23 bucks a week for a year. You trying to tell me you can’t put a twenty back each week? I work my ass off, haven’t gotten my refund or $1,200 quite yet but I will. In the meantime, I work and make sure to hold some money back for my goals down the road. It’s not that difficult. And SeanTravis, I agree 100%. It’s time to let grown folks make their own decisions and open back up for business.
-

Time to let the old people fend for themselves and OPEN THIS DAMN COUNTRY BACK THE HELL UP! RIDICULOUS!
-
April 14, 2020 at 12:05 am #4404546
Why are y’all like this? People are anxious, nervous, and stressed on this forum every tax season. Why would this be any different for the stimulus payments? People come here to cope and vent about their hardships with others who are likely experiencing the same or similar hardships of their own. Let them be. If you don’t want to see it, scroll.

Keeping calm is hard af. After getting laid off,I felt my world crashing. I have a family & I’m looking else where for a job. Father of 2 little ones and I’m trying my best to stay sane. This is beyond me at this point. At this point in time theres no such thing as keeping calm as I’m seeing to many family on broken roads because of this “virus”. Its scary as fuck.

As I do agree. It’s just that some of us have babies, kids to feed & to keep a roof over their heads. Some people who are tentant to homes have slump lords with no hearts, probably have car payments and some more. Alot of people is facing unexpected hardship. Shoo I probably have to get my CDLs to become a truck driver since they probably be the only ones still working lol. But yeah, just pray for those seeking guidance. Hoping the best for everyone through this tough this tough time.
