      Women i spoke to said that my return was under review since Feb 14th i was accepted Jan 13th but actually didnt mean to file as i had started to fill out free tax usa form to get an idea of my return which does have EIC so was held up for path act. So this review can take up to 45days from Feb 14th. I do know i had used my YTD and was off $800 less from what my w2 was. Im pretty. Upset anyone else gone or going through this ? Havent recieved anything in mail and lady said she didnt see anything just selected for additional review

          They didnt say what the review was when i called. So im not sure what it is. I just know i messed up my w2 info put 800 less then i actually made as i had filled taxes online using YTD AND knew irs wasnt accepting until jan 23rd jan 13th a friday haha i get email from free tax usa saying my return was accepted by IRS

            Called and got an advocate today. My return is under review. Checking my Child Tax Credit….why…no clue. My kids, claim them every year….

              I dont think its for Identity. Fraud i just put wrong earnings 800 less then what was on w2 on accident

                I was pulled for audit a few years back due to someone trying to file my kids (that I’ve filed for the past 10 years) so I had to deal with ID theft. Didn’t get my refund until 10 months later. Yes! 10 months later.
                I hope you’re not going through something like I did but if you’re being held up for something don’t hold your breath because it could be a long while before you see or hear anything.

                Also, side note : IRS only communicates by mail unless YOU call them. Watch your mailbox for any letters.
