Big update tonight?

Is there supposed to be a big update tonight?

or was the supposed to be last night?

I always get confused with wednesday. just hoping for something to happen with my refund, filed 1/25 and accepted same day within an hour. Had one bar and lost it on the following wednesday. =/ havent been able to order any transcripts using current address, was able to order last years transcripts using last years address, but that is all, and half the time, I dont even have the ability to do that.

Thanks the IRS stated that you can no longer look at your transcripts online you can no longer determine the status of your Refund I ordered the transcript if you happen to get a transcript ordered by mail only where there was number they will read 0 0 0

WASHINGTON – The IRS stopped accepting electronically filed tax returns Wednesday because of problems with some of its computer systems. The outage could affect refunds, but the agency said it doesn’t anticipate “major disruptions.”

A “hardware failure” forced the shutdown of several tax processing systems, including the e-file system, the IRS said in a statement. The IRS.gov website remains available, but “where’s my refund” and other services are not working.

Some systems will be out of service at least until Thursday, the agency said. “The IRS is currently in the process of making repairs and working to restore normal operations as soon as possible,” the IRS said.

Taxpayers can continue to send electronic returns to companies that serve as middlemen between taxpayers and the IRS. But those companies have to hold on to the tax returns until the IRS systems are up and running again, the IRS said.

While the IRS said it is still assessing the scope of the outage, it expects 90 percent of taxpayers will receive refunds within three weeks.

People who have already filed returns don’t need to do anything more, the IRS said.

Ya, I saw an article that said that but I saw 2 people post earlier that the IRS said you cant order transcripts online anymore because of fraud. The article I read said that the refunds can’t be released until the IRS fixes their system.

Has nothing to do with fraud. Was a hardware issue meaning components broke. Multiple systems were down. They also stated those who have already filed shouldn’t see delays.

Did you see the other threads about all of the problems that went on today? WMR was down, transcripts supposedly not available anymore because of fraud problems and DDD pushed back 2 weeks.
