Big mistake

My boyfriend and I filed and was accepted on the same day with turbo tax . He received the path message and received his dad date 2/23 as for me in still stuck on one bar and never received tube path message I just found out the person who did our taxes put us both as head of house. I was able to order both his transcripts but I could only order my account. Not return. I tried again this morning now its saying information does not match. Could someone with some knowledge of the IRS please tell me something. I really feel that am screwed😥😥😥

You both can claim head of the household as long as you’re not claiming the same dependents. They might just not have gotten to processing your return yet. Give the IRS a call on Monday to see what the hold up is.

You guys know that there are multi family homes right? That two or even three families can live in one house. What about the people that have roommates? Cmon fellow taxpayers…there can easily be two head of household filed at one address.

I didn’t think you could claim head of household for two people at the same address because two people can be the head of household at the same address

You should go beat your tax preparer upside the head for fire and you both as head of household at the same address even I know you can’t do that and I did my own taxes

I forgot to mention me and my boyfriend both filed on 26th both head of household, he claims our two youngest, I claim our two oldest, my check is set to be mailed 24th and he got a ddd of 2/23.

You CAN both claim head of household, that shouldn’t be what’s holding up your return. We do this at my house every year. I would call Monday and see what’s causing the holdup.

It is understandable to be upset.

I did not know that two people can claim head of household, So I cannot comment on that but I can say that several people on here reported today that they were still at one bar also.

Maybe nothing to be concerned about?
