I filed on 02/05 through Turbo Tax. I was accepted same day. I have a pretty simple return with 2 different W-2’s and a 1098-T. On 2/07 I had one bar but since then it has disappeared. Up until Saturday I was only getting the “Your return is being processed etc.” message, but now all I have is the PATH ACT message stating to check back after the 15th, as well as Topic 152. My refund amount doesn’t show on the side anymore. I ordered my transcripts through the mail last night. I’m just confused as to why I have the PATH message instead of a DDD since I don’t have neither EIC or ACTC. Do I still have to wait until the 15th to get any updates? So confused.

1098-T You probably claimed an education credit? As Dj said, people have reported claiming the education credit only has triggered the PATH act message on WMR. Athough the EITC and the ACTC are the ones in the news this year, in years past the IRS has delayed processing returns including form 8863.

Did you claim any dependants? ? I’ve figured out any tax credits even just the regular child tax credit gives you the Path message too I’ve also heard the education credits can prompt the message too
